Seismic hazard assessment and risk mitigation depend critically on rapid analysis and characterization of earthquake *** seismicity in shale gas blocks of the Sichuan Basin,China,has presented a serious challenge to monitoring and managing the seismicity *** this study,to detect events we apply a machine-learning-based phase picker(PhaseNet)to continuous seismic data collected between November 2015 and November 2016 from a temporary network covering the Weiyuan Shale Gas Blocks(SGB).Both P-and S-phases are picked and associated for *** refine the velocity model by using detected explosions and earthquakes and then relocate the detected events using our new velocity *** detections and absolute relocations provide the basis for building a high-precision earthquake *** primary catalog contains about 60 times as many earthquakes as those in the catalog of the Chinese Earthquake Network Center(CENC),which used only the sparsely distributed permanent *** also measure the local magnitude and achieve magnitude completeness of *** relocate clusters of events,showing sequential migration patterns overlapping with horizontal well branches around several well pads in the Wei202 and Wei204 *** results demonstrate the applicability of a machine-learning phase picker to a dense seismic *** algorithms can facilitate rapid characterization of earthquake sequences.

OBJECTIVE This study was conducted to establish a high-throughput screening method of cell transformation assay in Bhas 42 cells,aiming to shorten the experimental period and increase the level of objectivity of in vitro cell transformation assay in the detection of carcinogens and to study the transformation potential of *** ① Assay Establishment:Two cell transformation methods were established in our lab for the Bhas 42 cell transformation assay: traditional foci formation method and hydrogen peroxide treatment *** hydrogen peroxide treatment method,transformation was quantified by measuring survival transformed cells OD value at 450 nm using CCK-8 on Day 20 after a treatment of the cell culture for 24 h by hydrogen peroxide on Day *** culture was then fixed,dyed and the number of foci was counted to verify *** the traditional foci formation method,the cell culture was fixed and dyed on Day 21 after plating cells in 96-well plate as described previously.② Study of the transformation effect of genistein in Bhas 42 cells using the H2 O2 treatment ***,a dose range-finding assay was performed to determine genistein concentrations according to the growth of cell treated with genistein in initiation and promotion assays ***,a definitive cell transformation assay was performed using 5 concentrations of genistein in either initiation or promotion *** 96well plate was used for each compound concentration,and each transformation assay also included negative,positive and blank *** ① In the initiation assay with 3-MCA as an initiator using foci formation,the number of wells having transformed foci was 53 wells /plate in positive control and 13 wells /plate in negative *** the promotion assay with TPA as a promoter using foci formation method,the number of wells having transformed foci was 40 wells /plate in positive control and 18 wells /plate in negative *** proportion of wells with tr

AIM:The present study investigates the antioxidant effect of two extracts(hydrolyzed and non-hydrolyzed)of five herbs and eight spices in the prevention of LDL+VLDL oxidation promoted by cupric ***:The polyphenolic concentrations of these extracts were measured using Folin-Ciocalteu *** antioxidant quality was analyzed by the determination of lag-time,concentration of polyphenol that will inhibit 50%of oxidation of LDL+VLDL(IC50)and phenol antioxidant index(PAOXI). RESULTS:The hydrolyzed extracts had significant higher polyphenol concentration,longer lag-time,lower IC50 and higher PAOXI than the non-hydrolyzed extracts(P<0.001).Thus,hydrolyzed extract contains better quantity and quality polyphenolic antioxidant than the non-hydrolyzed *** hydrolyzed and non-hydrolyzed extracts were better antioxidants than Vitamin E in the inhibition of LDL+VLDL ***:The reaction rate and concentration of conjugated diene formed suggested that all the extracts had similar reaction mechanism in the prevention of copper mediated LDL+VLDL oxidation.
