A new.method of the formation of composite coatings w.th the function of activ. corrosion protection of magnesium alloys w.s dev.loped using the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO) method. Susceptibility of PEO-layers to pitting formation w.s ev.luated using localized electrochemical methods(Sv.T/SIET). The morphological features and electrochemical properties of composite coatings w.re studied using SEM/EDX, XRD, micro-Raman spectroscopy and EIS/PDP measurements, respectiv.ly. The effect of surface layers impregnation w.th corrosion inhibitor on their protectiv. properties in a corrosiv. env.ronment w.s established. Additional protection w.s achiev.d using controllable coating pore sealing w.th polymer. It w.s found that the polymer treatment of the PEO-layer does not reduce the inhibitor’s efficiency. The formed protectiv. composite inhibitor-and-polymer-containing layers decrease the corrosion current density of a magnesium alloy in a 3 w..% Na Cl solution to three orders of magnitude. This predetermines the prospect of new.smart coatings formation that significantly expand the field of application of electrochemically activ. materials. The mechanism of smart composite coating corrosion degradation w.s established. The antibacterial activ.ty of the inhibitor-containing coatings against S. aureus methicillin-resistant strain w.s prov.d using the in v.tro model. These protectiv. layers are promising for reducing the incidence of implant-associated infections.

Un-doped and ZnAl_(x)O_(1.5x+1):0.1 mol%Tb^(3+)(ZAOT)nano-pow.ers w.re synthesized v.a citrate sol-gel *** AIx moles w.re v.ried in the range of 0.25≤x≤*** X-ray pow.er diffraction(XRD)data rev.al that for xles crystal structure consists of mixed phases of the cubic ZnAl_(2)O_(4) and hexagonal ZnO phases,w.ile for x>1.5 the structure consists of single phase of cubic ZnAl_(2)O_(4).The Raman and Fourier-trans form infrared(FTIR)v.brational spectroscopy show.the presence of v.brations emanating ZnAl_(2)O_(4) *** electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)show.the presence of irregular sphere at x>2.0 attributed to ZnAl_(2)O_(4).The photoluminescence(Pl)spectroscopy rev.als emissions from both the host and Tb^(3+)*** from Tb^(3+)are observ.d at 382,414,439,458 nm and 489,545,585,621 nm,w.ich w.re attributed to the^(5)D_(3)→^(7)F_(6,5,4,2) and ^(5^)D_(4)→^(7)F_(6,5,4,3),*** results confirm that the Tb^(3+)occupation site depends on the Alx *** International Commission on Illumination(CIE)colour chromaticity show. that the emission colour can be tuned from blue to green by v.rying the AIx moles.

Background: Head and neck cellulitis of dental origin are polymicrobial bacterial infections inv.lv.ng the cellulo-adipose spaces of the face and neck. The objectiv. of this w.rk w.s to describe the epidemiological and clinical profile of patients w.th head and neck cellulitis. Methods: This w.s a cross-sectional study conducted from 1 January to 30 June 2020. All patients consulting for cerv.co-facial cellulitis of dental origin in 2 univ.rsity hospitals in Ouagadougou w.re included in the study. The usual parameters of descriptiv. statistics w.re estimated for each v.riable. Results: Tw. hundred and ninety-tw. cases (184 men and 108 w.men), aged 3 to 85 years w.re collected. The 25 - 35 years old w.re the most affected (33%). Decay w.s the leading dental cause (95.6%). The delay in consultation w.s included w.thin 7 days in 74.66% of cases. Ninety-one-point forty-four percent of patients had poor oral hygiene. Diffuse cellulitis w.s the most common (64.04%) and peri-mandibular regions w.re the most inv.ded (42.81%). Conclusion: The frequencies observ.d in our study allow.us to conclude that cerv.cofacial cellulitis of dental origin is still frequent and affects a young and disadv.ntaged population.

The influence of a basin depth on ice cov.r deflections, w.en a submarine mov.s under it in fluid, is experimentally and theoretically analyzed. For a theoretical research the ice cov.r is modelled by an elastic floating plate, and the submarine is modelled by a source-sink system in a fluid flow. The problem is solv.d by means of asymptotic analysis and integral transformations. The experimental study is conducted w.th submarine models in the pool w.th the sizes l*B*H= 10m*3m*lm . The ice cov.r for experiments is modelled in tw. w.ys. The first w.y is the thin ice plate receiv.d by freezing of the surface layer of w.ter at low.temperatures. In the second case the rubber sheet floating on a reserv.ir surface is used. The special v.locity (the v.locity at w.ich maximum v.lues of the w.v. height are reached) is analyzed. It is obtained that the decrease of the basin depth leads to decrease of the special speed. For small speeds (less than the special speed) there is the fact that the basin depth decrease leads to the increase of the height of the flexural-grav.ty w.v..

Quiescent mixing of aqueous lactose solution w.th ethanol by gentle pouring allow.d controlled observ.tion of a transient, spontaneous emulsification process betw.en ethanol and w.ter. This phenomenon contrasts w.th the conv.ntional stable phase-separation process for ethanol-w.ter systems w.th other solutes. The presence of lactose in the dissolv.d state w.s deduced to be the key factor causing spontaneous emulsification. This explains the transitional behav.or of the phenomenon. Further experiments w.th aqueous maltodextrin solution, using the same experimental technique, confirmed this phenomenon. The mechanisms determined in this w.rk w.ll form the basis of porous-particle synthesis v.a the antisolv.nt v.por-precipitation technique.

The Monte Desert is characterized by a great div.rsity of landforms created w.th fluv.al， alluv.al w.ich the v.getation patterns are related to. The present w.rk has the follow.ng objectiv.s: 1: determine w.ether topographical attributes， surface characteristics， soil properties and v.getation patterns v.ry betw.en alluv.al landforms， and 2: define w.ether morphometric， soil and surface properties influence v.getation patterns along alluv.al landscape. Morphometric data w.re obtained by processing a 5 m digital elev.tion model. The cov.rage of rock fragments， fine sediments and mulch w.s quantified. Observ.tions and descriptions of the soil profiles w.re restricted to the uppermost 50 cm. v.getation properties w.re calculated using a Point Quadrat Method. The relationship betw.en v.riables w.s ev.luated through multiv.riate statistical analysis. The main results show.the presence of 45 plant species distributed in 19 families， w.ere shrubs are dominant. The w.nd effect， topographic w.tness and dissection of the landscape are limiting factors of div.rsity. The cov.rage of superficial rock fragments influence v.getation cov.rage through the distribution and av.ilability of rainw.ter. Furthermore， the different soil textures rev.al that the silt content fav.rs an increase in v.getation cov.rage. The presence of v.horizon could condition the installation and dev.lopment of v.getation in the early stages of grow.h.

Background: Cerv.cofacial cellulitis is a sev.re infection and is responsible for a major disruption of host homeostasis. The aim of this w.rk w.s to describe the haematological and biochemical v.riations of cerv.co-facial cellulitis. Methods: This w.s a cross-sectional study conducted from 1 January to 31 December 2020. All patients hospitalized for cerv.co-facial cellulitis of dental origin w.re included in the study. The usual parameters of descriptiv. statistics w.re estimated for each v.riable. Results: Our sample consisted of 166 patients. The av.rage age of patients w.th cerv.cofacial cellulitis in our study w.s 39.9 ± 15.39 years. Red blood cell count w.s low.in 55.5% of patients and hyperleukocytosis w.s noted in 89.16% of patients. Platelets w.re normal in 43.14% of patients and 78.43% of patients had a low.haematocrit (haemodilution). Anemia w.s noted in 64.7% of patients. In addition, 61.0% of patients had elev.ted uricemia and 31.17% had elev.ted creatinemia. Conclusion: Cellulitis is still a common condition in less priv.leged env.ronments. Its diagnosis can be guided by clinical and biological findings. Consistent education of the population on oral health, and the control of biological disorders that result from it, are sufficient to greatly reduce its prev.lence and the appearance of complicated forms.
