The problem of matching schemas or ontologies consists of providing corresponding entities in two or more knowledge models that belong to a same domain but have been developed separately. Nowadays there are a lot of techniques and tools for addressing this problem, however, the complex nature of the matching problem make existing solutions for real situations not fully satisfactory. The Google Similarity Distance has appeared recently. Its purpose is to mine knowledge from the Web using the Google search engine in order to semantically compare text expressions. Our work consists of developing a software application for validating results discovered by schema and ontolog2/ matching tools using the philosophy behind this distance. moreover, we are interested in using not only Google, but other popular search engines with this similarity distance. The results reveal three main facts. Firstly, some web search engines can help us to validate semantic correspondences satisfactorily. Secondly there are significant differences among the web search engines. And thirdly the best results are obtained when using combinations of the web search engines that we have studied.

Four oxide nanoparticles,such as yttrium oxide,lanthanum oxide,cerium oxide and zirconium oxide were coated on rhenium filaments by an electrophoretic deposition *** oxide coatings were examined by scanning electron microscopy,and electron emission characteristics of the oxide-coated rhenium were studied to find alternative oxide materials for replacing the hazardous thorium *** four oxides tested in this work,yttrium oxide and lanthanum oxide coated rhenium showed enhanced electron emission compared with an uncoated ***,lanthanum oxide coating evaporated too quickly in a vacuum chamber,and hence yttrium oxide was found to be the only alternative material for use in a routine mass *** optimum coating thickness of the yttrium oxide and lanthanum oxide was around 20 μm.

The objective of this study was to examine the eff ects of temperature and light intensity on growth of female gametophytes of Eisenia bicyclis and Ecklonia cava and responses of these female gametophytes to Fe addition and daylength. Female gametophytes of each species were cultured at four temperatures (10, 15, 20, and 25°C) and under a combination of four light intensities (10, 20, 40, and 80 μmol photons/(m^2 ·s)) with two temperatures (15 and 20°C for E i . bicyclis;20 and 25°C for E c . cava ) to clarify their optimal growth conditions. Growth and maturation of female gametophytes of these two species under a combination of five Fe-EDTA concentrations (0, 1, 2, 4, and 8 μmol/L) and three daylengths (10, 12, and 14 h) were also examined. The growth of E i . bicyclis gametophyte was maximal at approximately 15–20°C, 20 μmol photons/(m^2 ·s), Fe-EDTA concentration of 8 μmol/L and daylengths of 12–14 h. While E c . c ava gametophytes showed optimal growth at approximately 20–25°C, 20 μmol photons/(m^2 ·s), Fe- EDTA concentration of 8 μmol/L and daylength of 14 h. maturation of gametophytes was enhanced at Fe-EDTA concentration of 4 μmol/L for E i . bicyclis and at 2 μmol/L for E c . c ava . In conclusion, optimal growth temperatures and Fe-EDTA concentrations for maturation of E i . bicyclis and E c . c ava gametophytes were diff erent. Higher optimal growth temperature for E c . c ava gametophytes may contribute to its wider geographical distribution compared to E i . bicyclis which has restricted habitats in Korea. This suggests that addition of Fe ion could be used to recover beds of these two species in barren grounds of Korea.

Various chemical modifications at the nucleosome,including DNA methylation,histone H3 acetylation(H3Ac),and histone H3 mono-/di-/trimethylation at various lysine residues(H3K4me3,H3K9me1/me2,H3K27me3,and H3K36me2/me3),underlie the delicate control of chromatin architecture(Ramirez-Prado et al.2018).These modifications influence gene ex-pression by changing the accessibility of chromatin by RNA PolⅡand chromatin-binding proteins,under-pinning the importance of chromatin landscape in gene regulation(malapeira et al.2012).

The structure of pure liquid tetrahydrofuran (THF) has been investigated via monte Carlo simulations in the wake of a previous Empirical Potential Structure Refinement (EPSR) study on that liquid (Bowron, D.T.;Finney, J.L.;Soper, A.K. (2006) J. Am. Chem. Soc., 128, 5119). The molecules are allatoms rigid structures and the intermolecular potential used is described for the classical 6-12 Lennard-Jones plus Coulomb in the NPT ensemble at 1 atm and 25°C. THF is a poorly structured liquid. Typical preferred orientation of molecules has been explored and calculations shown different types of molecular pairs exist concurrently in the liquid. The geometry of those pairs was deeply investigated and its influence in the liquid structure discussed. The lack of molecular organization in the liquid is closely related to the existence of that diversity of molecular pairs. Its geometry changes from antiparallel up to T-like depending on the distance between the molecules in the pairs.

Plasma radiative properties play a pivotal role both in nuclear fusion and *** are essential to analyze and explain experiments or observations and also in radiative-hydrodynamics *** computation requires the generation of large atomic databases and the calculation,by solving a set of rate equations,of a huge number of atomic level populations in wide ranges of plasma *** facts make that,for example,radiative-hydrodynamics in-line simulations be almost *** has lead to develop analytical expressions based on the parametrization of radiative ***,most of them are accurate only for coronal or local thermodynamic *** this work we present a code for the parametrization of plasma radiative properties of mono-component plasmas,in terms of plasma density and temperature,such as radiative power loss,the Planck and Rosseland mean opacities and the average ionization,which is valid for steady-state optically thin plasmas in wide ranges of plasma densities and ***,we also present some applications of this parametrization such as the analysis of the optical depth and radiative character of plasmas,the use to perform diagnostics of the electron temperature,the determination of mean radiative properties for multicomponent plasmas and the analysis of radiative cooling instabilities in some kind of experiments on high-energy density laboratory ***,to ease the use of the code for the parametrization,this one has been integrated in a user interface and brief comments about it are presented.

The urgent need to expand the donor pool in order to attend to the growing demand for liver transplantation has obliged physicians to consider the use of suboptimal liver grafts and also to redefine the preservation strategies. This review examines the different methods of liver graft preservation, focusing on the latest advances in both static cold storage and machine perfusion(mP). The new strategies for static cold storage are mainly designed to increase the fatty liver graft preservation via the supplementation of commercial organ preservation solutions with additives. In this paper we stress the importance of carrying out effective graft washout after static cold preservation, and present a detailed discussion of the future perspectives for dynamic graft preservation using mP at different temperatures(hypothermia at 4 ℃, normothermia a t 3 7 ℃ and subnormothermia at 20 ℃- 2 5 ℃). Finally, we highlight some emerging applications of regenerative medicine in liver graft preservation. In conclusion, this review discusses the "state of the art" and future perspectives in static and dynamic liver graft preservation in order to improve graft viability.
