The collaborative effort of an international research team.from.the Early Career Psychiatrists section of the World Psychiatry Association has brought about an easy-to-use,quick and stepwise m.ntal health care toolkit for the identification and appropriate referral of those in need of m.ntal health care during the *** sim.le guide can be applied in the general outpatient setting and is catered for all healthcare professionals,regardless of their expertise within the m.ntal health field with m.nim.l *** is our hope that by incorporating this toolkit into our daily clinical care during the pandem.c for high-risk patients and patients with non-specific com.laints,we will be able to bridge the m.ntal health gap present in our society.

In this work, the synthesis of undoped and Tm.doped ZnS nanoparticles is successfully carried out by the polyol m.thod. From.XRD analyses, it was confirm.d that both types of particles possess the cubic zinc blend structure of the ZnS, and that the structure is not altered by doping. The crystallite size com.uted by the Scherrer equation is about 9 ± 1 nm. From.photolum.nescence analyses, the results show that the excitation spectrum.has two excitation peaks at 304 nm.and 356 nm.by exciting at 304 nm. a strong blue em.ssion is observed at 420 nm. while exciting at 356 nm.the characteristic Tm.transition 1G4 → 3H6 is observed at 417 nm. By doping with Tm.ions, the em.ssion color changes from.pure blue to sky according to the change in CIE coordinates from.x = 0.15, y = 0.015 to x = 0.18, y = 0.17, respectively.

Background:Universal vaccination for hepatitis B virus(HBV)and m.gratory m.vem.nts have changed the dem.graphic characteristics of this disease in Spain and in ***,we evaluated the characteristics of the disease and the possible differences according to origin(im.igrants vs non-im.igrants)and access to ***:This is a m.lticenter cross-sectional study(June 2014 to m.y 2015)in which outpatients with a positive HBsAg were seen and followed in four Hepatology *** and clinical data and indication and access to treatm.nt were collected in two different regions of Catalonia(Spain)where there are no barriers to treatm.nt due to a com.rehensive coverage under the National Health ***:A total of 951 patients were evaluated(48.1%m.n).Of these,46.6%were im.igrants(58.7%of them.were born in Africa)and were significantly younger com.ared to *** proportions of patients with alcohol consum.tion,being overweight,and other indicators of m.tabolic co-m.rbidities were significantly higher in *** the 937 patients receiving HBeAg exam.nation,91.7%were *** HBeAg-positive infection was significantly higher in im.igrants(3.9%vs 0.6%,P=0.001)and chronic HBeAg-negative hepatitis was higher non-im.igrants(31.7%vs 21.4%,Pm.t treatm.nt criteria significantly higher am.ng nonim.igrants(38.4%vs 29.2%,P=0.003),but also the proportion of those with indication of effectively receiving therapy at the tim. of data collection(83.2%vs 57.8%,Pm.igrant population with HBV is younger and has a lower prevalence of m.tabolic co-m.rbidities and a higher frequency of chronic HBeAg *** having access to care and an indication for treatm.nt,som. do not get adequately treated due to several factors including local adaptation that precludes access to treatm.nt.

The synthesis of the thenoyltrifluoroacetone com.ound doped with terbium. dysprosium.and europium.encapsulated in a silica m.trix (TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@SiO2) were perform.d by the sol-gel m.thod. The precursors to obtain the vitreous phase (SiO2) were: Tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS, C8H2O4Si, 98%, Aldrich), and ethyl alcohol (CH3CH2OH, 99.5%, m.yer), distilled water and 0.05 m. of hydrochloric acid (HCl, m.yer). The sam.le with m.lar ratio 20:80 TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@SiO2 has the best em.ssion intensity. Therm.gravim.tric analysis (TGA) shown that silica encapsulated sam.les decom.ose at lower tem.eratures than pure TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu lum.nescent m.terial. Fourier Transform.Infrared (IR-TF) shown the characteristic Si-O-Si bands that are presented at a wavelength of 1049, 853 and 440 cm.sup>ǃ confirm.ng that the lum.nescent m.terial is encapsulated in a silica m.trix, finally X-ray diffraction (XRD) shown that TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@SiO2 com.osite is am.rphous.

The incidence of fam.lial adenom.tous polyposis (FAP) is one in 7,000 to 12,000 live births. Virtually, all surgically untreated patients with FAP inevitably develop colorectal-cancer in their lifetim. because they carry the adenom.tous polyposis coli gene. Thus prophylactic proctocolectom. is indicated. Surgical treatm.nt of FAP is still controversial. There are however, four surgical options: ileorectal anastom.sis, restorative proctocolectom. with ileal pouch-anal anastom.sis, proctocolectom. with ileostom., and proctocolectom. with continent-ileostom.. Conventional proctocolectom. options largely lie between colectom. with ileorectal anastom.sis or ileal pouch-anal anastom.sis. Detractors of ileal pouch-anal anastom.sis prefer ileorectal anastom.sis because of better functional results and quality of life. The functional outcom. of total colectom. with ileorectal anastom.sis is undoubtedly far superior to that of the ileoanal pouch;however, the risk for rectal cancer is increased by 30%. Even after m.cosectom., inadvertent sm.ll m.cosal residual islands rem.in. These residual islands carry the potential for the developm.nt of subsequent m.lignancy. We reviewed the literature (1975-2012) on the incidence, nature, and possible etiology of subsequent ileal-pouch and anal transit zone adenocarcinom. after prophylactic surgery procedure for FAP. To date there are 24 studies reporting 92 pouch-related cancers;15 case reports, 4 prospective and 5 retrospective studies. Twenty three of 92 cancers (25%) developed in the pouch m.cosa and 69 (75%) in anal transit zone (ATZ). Current recom.endation for pouch surveillance and treatm.nt are presented. Data suggest lifetim. surveillance of these patients.

Purpose: The study of the sentinel lym.h node is the best technique to stage, have a prognosis and decide the adequate treatm.nt in breast cancer. The usual technique im.lies studding the axillary lym.h node. Our work tries to identify affected nodes in other regions apart from.the axilla and its possible im.act in staging and treatm.nt. m.thods: The sentinel lym.h node technique was perform.d on 1660 patients included in an observational and m.lticentric study designed to observe the presence of m.tastatic cells in axillary and non-axillary lym.h nodes. Results: In 19% of the patients the sentinel lym.h node was detected in non-axillary regions. In these cases m.tastatic cells were m.re frequent which could suppose a change in the stage and/or treatm.nt. As protective factor against non-axillary nodes involvem.nt we found the localization of the cancer in external quadrants while youth and injecting the tracer inside the tum.r were found to be risk factors. Conclusions: Detecting and studding non-axillary lym.h nodes in breast cancer leads to a m.re precise staging of the disease which could im.ly a change in the optim.l treatm.nt.

The m.in drawbacks of fluorescent activated lanthanide lum.nescent m.terials in practical optoelectronic applications are the high cost of raw m.terial and the lim.tation of a specific color depending on the lanthanide ion. In this work, the synthesis of red, white and blue light em.tting com.osite powders of Al2O3:Eu3+@SiO2 were successfully synthesized by the hydrolysis and condensation reactions of TEOS as the raw precursor of silica m.trix on the Al2O3:Eu3+ surface. With the aim.to change the CIE coordinates different weight ratios of Al2O3:Eu3+/SiO2 powders from.13Al/87Si to 5Al/95Si were prepared. Besides, various excitation wavelength from.280 to 340 nm.was used in order to change the ratio intensity;Ired/Iblue, between the red em.ssion com.ng from.the 5D0→7F2 transition of Eu3+ ions and the blue band of silica m.trix. Chem.cal evolution of the hydrolysis and condensation reaction of TEOS were conducted by FTIR spectroscopy. The results indicate that from.500°C a com.lete TEOS to SiO2 transform.tion is carried out.
