As an elementary particle,a photon that carries information in frequency,polarization,phase,and amplitude,plays a crucial role in modern science and ***,how to retrieve the full information of unknown photons *** ultracompact manner over broad bandwidth remains a challenging task with growing ***,we demonstrate a versatile photonic slide rule based on an ll-silicon metasurface that enables uS to reconstruct incident photons'frequency and polarization *** underlying mechanism relies on the coherent interactions of frequency-driven phase diagrams which rotate at various angular velocities within broad *** rotation direction and speed are determined by the topological charge and phase ***,our metasurface leverages both achromatically focusing and azimuthally evolving phases with topological charges+1 and-1 to ensure the confocal annular intensity *** combination of geometric phase and interference holography allows the joint manipulations of two distinct group delay coverages to realize angle-resolved in-pair spots in *** manner-a behavior that would disperse along longitudinal direction in conventional *** spin-orbital coupling between the incident photons and vortex phases provides routing for the simultaneous identifcation of the photons'frequency and circular polarization state through recognizing the spots'*** work provides an analog of the conventional slide rule to flexibly characterize the photons in an ultracompact and multifunctional way and may find applications in integrated optical circuits or pocketable devices.

Objects with different shapes,materials and temperatures can emit distinct polarizations and spectral information in mid-infrared band,which provides a unique signature in the transparent window for object ***,the crosstalk among various polarization and wavelength channels prevents from accurate mid-infrared detections at high signal-to-noise ***,we report full-polarization metasurfaces to break the inherent eigen-polarization constraint over the wavelengths in *** recipe enables to select arbitrary orthogonal polarization basis at individual wavelength independently,therefore alleviating the crosstalk and efficiency degradation.A six-channel all-silicon metasurface is specifically presented to project focused mid-infrared light to distinct positions at three wavelengths,each with a pair of arbitrarily chosen orthogonal *** isolation ratio of 117 between neighboring polarization channels is experimentally recorded,exhibiting detection sensitivity one order of magnitude higher than existing infrared ***,the high aspect ratio~30 of our meta-structures manufactured by deep silicon etching technology at temperature−150℃ guarantees the large and precise phase dispersion control over a broadband from 3 to 4.5μ*** believe our results would benefit the noise-immune mid-infrared detections in remote sensing and space-to-ground communications.

Dual modulation of homogeneous nanomaterialization and electrochemical activation enhancing zinc ion storage

Vanadium-based electrode materials are widely investigated,but the low specific capacity and slow electrochemical kinetics in aqueous zinc-ion batteries still limit their commercial ***,the VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)material with the morphology of nanoflower was synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal *** to the blocky structure of pure VS_(2)material,the VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)material is composed of thinner homogeneous *** open structures could provide abundant electrochemical active sites and ion transport channels,and then promote the electrochemical reaction *** addition,they can also buffer the bulk strain during the reaction *** improve the utilization of vanadium elements,an in-situ electrochemical activation strategy is used to explore the storage performance of the VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)material,the different activation voltage range of 0.4–1.6 and 0.4–1.4 V are selected,*** with the longer activation plateau of activated-VS_(2),the VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)cathode could quickly reach the activation state in the range of 1.4–1.6 V and cause the release of additional Zn storage sites *** VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)cathode delivers a higher power density of 37,000 W kg^(-1)and a significant energy density of 423 Wh kg^(-1).At the high current density of 15 A g^(-1),the VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)cathode still has a discharge capacity of 183.9m Ah g^(-1)after 5,000 cycles,and the capacity decay rate per cycle is only 0.0042%.Continuous cyclic voltammetry(CV)curves,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)measurements,density functional theory(DFT)calculation and galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)measurements demonstrate that the VS_(2)/Ca V_(4)O_(9)cathode has a faster ion diffusion/charge transfer ***,the assembled flexible device has an excellent mechanical stability.

Co-doped cryptomelane-type manganese oxide in situ grown on a nickel foam substrate for high humidity ozone decomposition

Monolithic catalysts with excellent O_(3)catalytic decomposition performance were prepared by in situ loading of Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)on the surface of nickel *** triple-layer structure with Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)/Ni6MnO_(8)/Ni foam was grown spontaneously on the surface of nickel foam by tuning the molar ratio of KMnO_(4)to Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O ***,the formed Ni6MnO_(8)structure between KMn_(8)O_(16)and nickel foam during in situ synthesis process effectively protected nickel foam from further etching,which significantly enhanced the reaction stability of *** optimum amount of Co doping in KMn_(8)O_(16)was available when the molar ratio of Mn to Co species in the precursor solution was 2:*** the Mn2Co1 catalyst had abundant oxygen vacancies and excellent hydrophobicity,thus creating outstanding O_(3)decomposition *** O_(3)conversion under dry conditions and relative humidity of 65%,90%over a period of 5 hr was 100%,94%and 80%with the space velocity of 28,000 hr^(−1),*** in situ constructed Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)/Ni foam catalyst showed the advantages of low price and gradual applicability of the preparation process,which provided an opportunity for the design of monolithic catalyst for O_(3)catalytic decomposition.

The onset of the big mantle wedge(BMW)structure beneath the North China Craton remains *** on the genesis of Late Mesozoic granites associated with gold deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula above the BMW could provide fresh insights into this *** monzogranite from the Zhaoxian-Shaling gold district was intruded during 154-148 *** I-type granite has high-K calc-alkaline and metaluminous *** monzogranite formed at medium temperatures(718-770℃)and was generated in a thickened lower crust at depths within the stability field of *** monzogranite’s high zircon Ce^(4+)/Ce^(3+)and Eu_(N)/Eu_(N)^(*)values and low FeOT/MgO ratios,suggest that it formed in a high oxygen *** variableε_(Hf)(t)values with T_(DM2)of 1.93-2.87 Ga imply that it originated from the melting of ancient crust basement,with contributions from mantle-derived *** granite’s enrichment in LREEs and LILEs,and depletion in HREEs and HFSEs,along with its trace element tectonic discrimination diagrams and medium Sr/Y,indicate an adakite affinity in an active continental margin *** transition from S-type granites to I-type granites and finally to A-type granites observed in the eastern part of North China Craton suggests a shift in the tectonic environment from compression to *** change is also reflected in the transition from flat subduction to steep ***,the monzogranite was formed in a tectonic transition setting triggered by a change in the subduction angle of the PaleoPacific Ocean slab during the Late *** event may have marked the initiation of the BMW above the North China Craton.

The standard model of modern cosmology might be cracked by the recent persistent hot debate on the Hubble-constant(H_(0))tension,which manifests itself as the sound-horizon(r_(s))tension or absolute-magnitude(M_(B))tension if deeming the origin of the Hubble tension from modifying the early or late Universe,*** this study,we achieve a fully model-independent constraint(fitting a model-independent global parameterization to a model-independent inverse distant ladder with a modelindependent high-redshift calibration)on late-time models with strong evidence against homogeneous new physics over theΛ-cold-dark-matter(ΛCDM)*** using this model-independent constraint to calibrate sufficiently local supernovae with corresponding late-time models extrapolated below the homogeneity scale,we find surprisingly that,although both H_(0)tension and MB tension are absent in our local Universe,a combination of H_(0)and M_(B)as the intercept a B of the magnitude-redshift relation exhibits 3~7σtension even for theΛCDM *** aBtension seems to call for local-scale inhomogeneous new physics disguised as local observational systematics.

Quickly obtaining densely dispersed coherent particles in steel matrix and its related mechanical property

Densely distributed coherent nanoparticles(DCN)in steel matrix can enhance the work-hardening ability and ductility of steel *** the routes to this end can be generally classified into the liquid-solid route and the solid-solid ***,the formation of DCN structures in steel requires long processes and complex *** far,obtaining steel with coherent particle enhancement in a short time remains a bottleneck,and some necessary steps remain ***,we show a high-efficiency liquid-phase refining process reinforced by a dynamic magnetic ***-Y-Mn-O particles had an average size of around(3.53±1.21)nm and can be obtained in just around 180 *** small nanoparticles were coherent with the matrix,implying no accumulated dislocations between the particles and the steel *** findings have a potential application for improving material machining capacity,creep resistance,and radiation resistance.
