The limited material removal rate of conventional chemical mechanical polishing(CMP)significantly hinders the fabrica-tion efficiency and surface quality,thereby preventing the development of gallium nitride(GaN)-based ***,the incorporation of photoelectrochemistry in CMP has garnered increasing attention because of its potential to enhance the quality and efficiency of the GaN ***,a considerable gap still exists in the comprehensive understanding of the specific photoelectrochemical(PEC)behavior of ***,we report the influence of the electrolyte on the PEC etching of *** acids and bases were tested,with their pH being carefully *** concentrations of the cations and anions were also *** results showed that photocorrosion/photoetching was more pronounced in sulfuric acid,phosphoric acid,and nitric acid environments than in alkaline environments,but it was less pronounced in hydrochloric ***,the effects of pH and anion concentration on photoetching were investigated,and the results revealed that pho-toetching in acidic environments weakened with increasing pH levels and diminished with increasing sulfate *** underlying reasons contributing to this observation were *** findings provide ideas for improving the pho-toetching efficiency of GaN,thereby enriching the photoelectrochemical mechanical polishing(PECMP)technology of GaN.

Role of inflammatory lipid and fatty acid metabolic abnormalities induced by plastic additives exposure in childhood asthma

Lipid metabolism play an essential role in occurrence and development of asthma,and it can be disturbed by phthalate esters(PAEs)and organophosphate fame retardants(OPFRs).As a chronic infammatory respiratory disease,the occurrence risk of childhood asthma is increased by PAEs and OPFRs exposure,but it remains not entirely clear how PAEs and OPFRs contribute the onset and progress of the *** have profiled the serum levels of PAEs and OPFRs congeners by liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry,and its relationships with the dysregulation of lipid metabolism in asthmatic,bronchitic(acute infammation)and healthy(non-infammation)*** PAEs and nine OPFRs congeners were found in the serum of children(1–5 years old)from Shenzhen,and their total median levels were 615.16 ng/m L and 17.06 ng/m L,***,the serum levels of mono-methyl phthalate(MMP),tri-propyl phosphate(TPP)and tri-n-butyl phosphate(TNBP)were significant higher in asthmatic children than in healthy and bronchitic children as ***-one characteristic lipids and fatty acids of asthma were screened by machine-learning random forest model based on serum lipidome data,and the alterations of infammatory characteristic lipids and fatty acids including palmitic acids,12,13-Di HODE,14,21-Di HDHA,prostaglandin D2 and Lyso PA(18:2)showed significant correlated with high serum levels of MMP,TPP and *** results imply PAEs and OPFRs promote the occurrence of childhood asthma via disrupting infammatory lipid and fatty acid metabolism,and provide a novel sight for better understanding the effects of plastic additives on childhood asthma.

Evaluating serum CXCL12,sCD22,Lp-PLA2 levels and ratios as biomarkers for diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease

BACKGROUND Grasping the underlying mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease(AD)is still a work in progress,and existing diagnostic techniques encounter various ***,the discovery of dependable biomarkers is essential for early detection,tracking the disease's advancement,and steering treatment *** To explore the diagnostic potential of serum CXCL12,sCD22,Lp-PLA2,and their ratios in AD,aiming to enhance early detection and inform targeted treatment *** The study was conducted in Dongying people's Hospital from January 2021 to December *** included 60 AD patients(AD group)and 60 healthy people(control group).Using a prospective case-control design,the levels of CXCL12,sCD22 and Lp-PLA2 and their ratios were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit in the diagnosis of *** differences between the two groups were analyzed by statistical methods,and the corresponding ratio was constructed to improve the specificity and sensitivity of *** Serum CXCL12 levels were higher in the AD group(47.2±8.5 ng/mL)than the control group(32.8±5.7 ng/mL,Png/mL vs 18.9±3.4 ng/mL,Png/mL vs 89.7±15.2 ng/mL,Png characteristic analysis confirmed high sensitivity and specificity of these markers and their ratios in distinguishing AD,with area under the curves ranging from CONCLUSION Serum CXCL12 and Lp-PLA2 levels were significantly increased,while sCD22 were significantly decreased,as well as increases in the ratios of CXCL12/sCD22 and Lp-PLA2/sCD22,are closely related to the onset of *** biomarkers and their ratios can be used as potential diagnostic indicators for AD,providing an important clinical reference for early intervention and treatment.

The efficient electrocatalysts with low cost, high activity and good durability plays a crucial role in the application of direct formic acid fuel cells. Herein, Pd nanoparticles supported on N-doped hollow carbon nanospheres (NHCN) embedded in Ndoped graphene (ng) with three-dimensional (3D) layered porous configuration by a simple and economical method were investigated as direct formic acid fuel cell catalysts. Owing to the unique 3D interconnected layered porous configuration doped with nitrogen atoms, Pd/NHCN@ng catalyst with smaller Pd nanoparticle size shows large catalytic active surface area, superior electrocatalyticactivity,highsteady-statecurrentdensity,strongabilitytoresistCOpoisoning,farsurpassingthoseofconventionalPd/C,Pd/ng,andPd/***/GOratio,itisfoundthatwhenthe HCN/GO mass ratio is 1∶1, Pd/NHCN@ng catalyst has the most outstanding performance in catalytic oxidation of formic acid,with an activity 4.21 times that of Pd/C. This work has developed a superior carbon-based support material for electrocatalysts, which brings broad application prospects for the development of fuel cells.

Regulatory role of electroacupuncture on satellite glial cell activity in the colon and dorsal root ganglion of rats with irritable bowel syndrome

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the role of satellite glial cells in irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) and the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at the Tianshu(ST25) and Shangjuxu(ST37) combination. METHODS: A model for visceral hypersensitivity in IBS was induced through colorectal distension(CRD) stimulation. Clean-grade male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into four groups: a normal group(ng), a model group(MG), an electroacupuncture group(EA), and a glial cell inhibitor group(FCA). Bilateral EA(2/100 Hz, 1 mA, 30 min) was administered at the Tianshu(ST25) and Shangjuxu(ST37) in week 6. Abdominal withdrawal reflex(AWR) scores were used to assess the behavioral response associated with visceral hyperalgesia, while hematoxylin-eosin staining was employed to evaluate pathological changes in the colon. The protein and mRNA levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) in the colon and colon-related dorsal root ganglion(DRG) were analyzed using immun-ofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, real-time polymerase chain reaction. The impact of EA on electrophysiological properties of colon-related DRG neurons was observed through whole-cell patch clamp analysis. RESULTS: EA significantly reduced the visceral pain behavior scores in rats with IBS in response to graded(20, 40, 60, 80 mm Hg) CRD stimulation. Additionally, EA downregulated the protein and mRNA expression levels of GFAP in the colon and colon-related DRG of rats with IBS. EA also regulated the resting membrane potential, rheobase and action potential of colon-related DRG neurons in rats with IBS. CONCLUSIONS: EA can regulate the excitatory properties of colon-related DRG neurons by downregulating the protein and mRNA expression of GFAP in the colon and colon-related DRG, indicating a potential neurobiological mechanism by which EA relieves visceral hypersensitivity in rats with IBS.

Unveiling the existence and ecological hazards of trace organic pollutants in wastewater treatment plant effluents across China

The presence of trace organic pollutants in the effluent of wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)poses considerable risks to aquatic organisms and human health.A large-scale survey of 302 trace organic pollutants in the effluent of 46 Chinese WWTPs was conducted to gain an improved understanding of their occurrence and ecological *** survey data showed that 216 compounds in 11 chemical classes had been detected in *** sum concentrations of the trace contaminants in effluent ranged from 1,392 ng/L to 35,453 ng/L,with the maximum concentration of perfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs)recorded as the highest(30,573 ng/L),which was markedly less than the reported 185,000 ng/L for the 38 American *** concentration of bisphenol analogs(BPs)was up to 4,422 ng/L,significantly higher than those reported in France,Germany,Japan,Korea,and the *** and BPs were the major pollutants,accounting for 59%of the total ***,a total of 119 contaminants were found to have ecological risks(RQ>0.01).Among these,23 contaminants(RQ>1.0)warrant higher attention and should be prioritized for *** study lists valuable information for controlling contaminants with higher priority in WWTP effluent in China.

Non-asymptotic Error Bound for Optimal Prediction of Function-on-Function Regression by RKHS Approach

In this paper,we study and analyze the regularized least squares for function-on-function regression *** our model,both the predictors(input data)and responses(output data)are multivariate functions(with d variables andd variables respectively),and the model coefficient lies in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space(RKHS).We show under mild condition on the reproducing kernel and input data statistics that the convergence rate of excess prediction risk by the regularized least squares is minimax *** examples based on medical image analysis and atmospheric point spread function estimation are considered and tested,and the results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed model is comparable with that of other testing methods.

Garnet-type solid-state batteries(SSBs)are considered to be one of the most promising candidates to realize next-generation lithium metal batteries with high energy density and ***,the dendrite-induced short-circuit and the poor interfacial contact impeded the practical ***,interface engineering to achieve low interfacial resistance without high temperature calcination was developed,which Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZTO)was simply coated with complex hydride(Li_(4)(BH_(4))_(3)I(3L1L))in various mass ratios n(Li_(4)(BH_(4))_(3)I)-(100−n)LLZTO(10≤n≤40).The interfacial conductivity increases by more than three orders of magnitude from 8.29×10^(−6)S·cm^(−1)to 1.10×10^(−2)S·cm^(−1).Symmetric Li cells exhibit a high critical current density(CCD)of 4.0 mA·cm^(−2) and an excellent cycling stability for 200 h at 4.0 mA·cm^(−2).SSBs with polymeric sulfur-polyacrylonitrile(SPAN)cathode achieve a high discharge capacity of 1149 mAh·g^(−1) with a capacity retention of 91%after 100 cycles(0.2 C).This attempt guides a simple yet efficient strategy for obtaining a stable Li/LLZTO interface,which would promote the development of solid-state batteries.

In this paper,we propose a multiphase fuzzy region competition model for texture image *** the functional,each region is represented by a fuzzy membership function and a probability density function that is estimated by a nonparametric kernel density *** overall algorithm is very efficient as both the fuzzy membership function and the probability density function can be implemented *** apply the proposed method to synthetic and natural texture images,and synthetic aperture radar *** experimental results have shown that the proposed method is competitive with the other state-of-the-art segmentation methods.

Simultaneous optimization of phononic and electronic transport in two-dimensional Bi2O2Se by defect engineering

Defect engineering represents one degree of freedom to tune the physical and chemical properties of two-dimensional (2D)***,we demonstrate that the thermal and electronic properties of 2D Bi2O2Se can be optimized simultaneously by introducing oxygen defects.2D Bi2O2Se and its oxygendeficient counterpart (Bi2Ox Se,xng oxygen defects,the thermal conductivity of 2D Bi2O2Se is reduced by nearly three times,achieving an extremely low thermal conductivity of 0.68±0.06 W/mK at room temperature via the thermal bridge *** low thermal conductivity is enabled by the scattering of phonons by targeting of high-,mid-,and low-frequency phonons due to oxygen defects,strong anharmonicity,and nanostructure boundaries,***,the mobility is also improved to 260–500 cm2·V-1·s-1and the usual polar optical phonon scattering in 2D Bi2O2Se is weakened owing to the introduction of oxygen *** results promise potential applications for thermoelectric design,nanoelectronics,and thermal barrier coating devices based on emerging 2D materials.
