The role of glutathione-mediated triacylglycerol synthesis in the response to ultra-high cadmium stress in Auxenochlorella protothecoides

Under ultra-high cadmium(Cd)stress,large amounts of glutathione are produced in Auxenochlorella protothecoides UTEX 2341,and the lipid content increases *** is the best reductant that can effectively remove Cd,but the relationship between lipid accumulation and the cellular response to Cd stress has not been *** analyses of the transcriptomes and lipidomes,the mechanism of lipid accumulation to Cd tolerance were studied from the perspectives of metabolism,transcriptional regulation and protein *** Cd stress,basic metabolic pathways,such as purine metabolism,translation and pre-m RNA splicing process,were inhibited,while the lipid accumulation pathway was significantly *** analysis revealed that the transcription factors(TFs)and genes related to lipid accumulation were also *** of the TF interaction sites showed that ABI5,MYBrel and NF-YB could further regulate the expression of diacylglycerol acyltransferase through glutathionylation/deglutathionylation,which led to increase of the triacylglycerol(TAG)*** analysis showed that TAG could help maintain lipid homeostasis by adjusting its saturation/unsaturation *** study for the first time indicated that glutathione could activate TAG synthesis in microalga ***,leading to TAG accumulation and glutathione accumulation under Cd ***,the accumulation of TAG and glutathione can confer resistance to high Cd *** study provided insights into a new operation mode of TAG accumulation under heavy metal stress.

The DC fault characteristics of voltage source converter based high voltage direct current(VSC-HVDC)systems are analyzed in this *** phenomenon whereby the capacitor on DC side discharges quickly during a DC fault contributes to a large short-circuit fault *** traditional DC breakers nor DC switches can cut off the fault current under this condition.A fast solid state DC breaker design method is proposed in this *** method is based on the fault current characteristics of the inverter in multi-terminal HVDC systems(MTDC),where a fault current appears at the natural zerocrossing point near the *** this point,by coordinating the AC breakers near the rectifier,the DC breaker could reliably cut off the DC fault current and protect the system.A detailed model for this fast solid state DC breaker and its operation sequence are studied,based on this design *** modeling a five-terminal meshed DC grid and a fast DC breaker were carried out with PSCAD/EMTDC using this design *** results from the simulations confirmed the validity of the design method.

Effect of reactor pressure on the growth rate and structural properties of GaN films

The effect of reactor pressure on the growth rate, surface morphology and crystalline quality of GaN films grown on sapphire by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition is studied. The results show that as the reactor pressure increases from 2500 to 20000 Pa, the GaN surface becomes rough and the growth rate of GaN films decreases. The rough surface morphology is associated with the initial high temperature GaN islands, which are large with low density due to low adatom surface diffusion under high reactor pressure. These islands prolong the occurrence of 2D growth mode and decrease the growth rate of GaN film. Meanwhile, the large GaN islands with low density lead to the reduction of threading dislocation density during subsequent island growth and coalescence, and consequently decrease the full width at half maximum of X-ray rocking curve of the GaN film.

Process and Modeling of Unsafe Behaviors Early Warning in Metro Construction

Safety accidents occure frequently during metro construction, which are mainly caused by human factors, and the incidence of accidents can be increased due to the overlap of human factors and physical factors. The human factors are taken as breakthrough to make early warning for the human insecurity factors in the metro construction, which can effectively reduce the occurrence of safety accidents. This paper proposes the principle of total monitoring and early-warning management. The unsafe behaviors in metro construction when approaching the hazardous area and non-standard safety prevention measures are analyzed to design and model the early warning process of unsafe behaviors in metro construction. Finally, the model is analyzed and verified using actual examples.

A hierarchical enhanced data-driven battery pack capacity estimation framework for real-world operating conditions with fewer labeled data

Battery pack capacity estimation under real-world operating conditions is important for battery performance optimization and health management,contributing to the reliability and longevity of batterypowered ***,complex operating conditions,coupling cell-to-cell inconsistency,and limited labeled data pose great challenges to accurate and robust battery pack capacity *** address these issues,this paper proposes a hierarchical data-driven framework aimed at enhancing the training of machine learning models with fewer labeled *** traditional data-driven methods that lack interpretability,the hierarchical data-driven framework unveils the“mechanism”of the black box inside the data-driven framework by splitting the final estimation target into cell-level and pack-level intermediate targets.A generalized feature matrix is devised without requiring all cell voltages,significantly reducing the computational cost and memory *** generated intermediate target labels and the corresponding features are hierarchically employed to enhance the training of two machine learning models,effectively alleviating the difficulty of learning the relationship from all features due to fewer labeled data and addressing the dilemma of requiring extensive labeled data for accurate *** only 10%of degradation data,the proposed framework outperforms the state-of-the-art battery pack capacity estimation methods,achieving mean absolute percentage errors of 0.608%,0.601%,and 1.128%for three battery packs whose degradation load profiles represent real-world operating *** high accuracy,adaptability,and robustness indicate the potential in different application scenarios,which is promising for reducing laborious and expensive aging experiments at the pack level and facilitating the development of battery technology.

A Simple Method for Preparing CuCl/Activated Carbon for Selective CO Adsorption from Hydrogen

Carbon monoxide(CO)is an impurity gas that can poison the precious metal catalysts of hydrogen fuel cells,so it is necessary to separate CO from *** this paper,an isovolumetric impregnation method was developed to prepare Cu(I)-supported activated carbon(AC),which is simple and easy to *** prepared cuprous chloride CuCl/AC adsorbent displayed a high CO adsorption capacity of 82.1 cm^(3)/g and a high CO/H_(2) separation factor of 20 at 20 bar and 298 *** material can adsorb and remove CO from CO/H_(2) mixed gas(5μL/L CO-balanced H_(2))to less than 0.2μL/L under dynamic flow conditions,and showed excellent regeneration *** results show that CuCl/AC is an effective adsorbent for separating trace CO in high-purity hydrogen.

Corrosion resistance and anti-soiling performance of micro-arc oxidation/graphene oxide/stearic acid superhydrophobic composite coating on magnesium alloys

Magnesium(Mg)alloys,the lightest metal construction material used in industry,play a vital role in future ***,the poor corrosion resistance of Mg alloys in corrosion environments largely limits their potential wide ***,a micro-arc oxidation/graphene oxide/stearic acid(MAO/GO/SA)superhydrophobic composite coating with superior corrosion resistance was fabricated on a Mg alloy AZ91D through micro-arc oxidation(MAO)technology,electrodeposition technique,and self-assembly *** composition and microstructure of the coating were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,energy dispersive spectroscopy,and Raman *** effective protection of the MAO/GO/SA composite coating applied to a substrate was evaluated using potentiodynamic polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests,and salt spray *** results showed that the MAO/GO/SA composite coating with a petal spherical structure had the best superhydrophobicity,and it attained a contact angle of 159.53°±2°.The MAO/GO/SA composite coating exhibited high resistance to corrosion,according to electrochemical and salt spray tests.

Bedding rock slopes are common geological features in nature that are prone to failure under strong earthquakes. Their failures induce catastrophic landslides and form barrier lakes, posing severe threats to people’s lives and property. Based on the similarity criteria, a bedding rock slope model with a length of3 m, a width of 0.8 m, and a height of 1.6 m was constructed to facilitate large-scale shaking table *** results showed that with the increase of vibration time, the natural frequency of the model slope decreased, but the damping ratio increased. Damage to the rock mass structure altered the dynamic characteristics of the slope;therefore, amplification of the acceleration was found to be nonlinear and uneven. Furthermore, the acceleration was amplified nonlinearly with the increase of slope elevation along the slope surface and the vertical section, and the maximum acceleration amplification factor(AAF) occurred at the slope crest. Before visible deformation, the AAF increased with increasing shaking intensity;however, it decreased with increasing shaking intensity after obvious deformation. The slope was likely to slide along the bedding planes at a shallow depth below the slope surface. The upper part of the slope mainly experienced a tensile-shear effect, whereas the lower part suffered a compressive-shear force. The progressive failure process of the model slope can be divided into four stages, and the dislocated rock mass can be summarized into three zones. The testing data provide a good explanation of the dynamic behavior of the rock slope when subjected to an earthquake and may serve as a helpful reference in implementing antiseismic measures for earthquake-induced landslides.

A UWB communication system based on dechirp pulse compression and OOK modulation

In this paper,a novel UWB communication system structure is *** transmitted signal uses OOK modulation and chirp spread *** received signal first goes through a dechirp pulse compression process,and then is processed with a two-level sliding correlation algorithm for coarse timing synchronization and fine timing *** the SNR estimation,the signal is demodulated by an energy detection *** integrated system level simulation model is established,and the performance of this system is evaluated over the AWGN channel,IEEE 802.15.3a CM1 and CM4 *** theoretical analysis and simulation results show that this UWB communication system can effectively reduce the sampling rate and signal processing speed at the receiver,and it is more suitable for long-distance and low-rate UWB communications with high spreading gain.
