The Alxa region, located in the southernmost part of Central Asian Orogenic Belt, is a key region for understanding the tectonic processes associated with the closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean. Issues of late Paleozoic tectonic settings and tectonic unit divisions of the Alxa region still remain controversial. In this study, we report a new ophiolitic mélange named the Tepai ophiolitic mélange in the northern Alxa region, northwest of Alxa Youqi. The tectonic blocks in the Tepai ophiolitic mélange are mainly composed of serpentinized peridotites, serpentinites, mylonitized gabbros, gabbros, basalts, and quartzites, with a matrix comprising highly deformed clastic rocks. A gabbro exhibits a zircon LA-ICP-MS Ue Pb age of278.4 ± 3.3 Ma. Gabbros exhibit high Mg O and compatible element contents, but extremely low TiO_2,totally rare earth element and high field strength element contents. These rocks exhibit light rare earth element depleted patterns, and display enriched in large-ion lithophile elements and depleted in high field strength elements. Boninite-like geochemical data show that they were formed in a subductionrelated environment, and derived from an extremely depleted mantle source infiltrated by subduction-derived fluids and/or melts. The Tepai ophiolitic mélange exhibits similar zircon U-Pb-O isotopic compositions and whole-rock geochemical characteristics to those of the Quagan Qulu ophiolite.Therefore, we propose that the Tepai ophiolitic mélange may have been the western continuation of the Quagan Qulu ophiolite. Our new finding proves the final closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean might have taken place later than the early Permian.

Energy and Parameter Analysis of SOFC System for Hydrogen Production from Methane Steam Reforming

In this paper, an integrated system of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) and methane steam reforming for hydrogen production is proposed. The mathematical model of the coupled integrated system is studied by COMSOL and Aspen software, and the energy analysis of the integrated system is carried out. The system recovers and reuses the waste heat of the SOFC stack through the heat exchanger, which can realize the cascade efficient use of energy. By adjusting the different reforming temperatures, steam-to-carbon ratio and SOFC operating temperature of methane steam reforming to produce hydrogen, the parameters that have a greater impact on the system are studied. The research results show that as the steam-to-carbon ratio and reformer operating temperature increase, the net output power and efficiency of the system increase. When the fuel cell operating temperature is 800℃, the output power and efficiency of the system reach the maximum values of 899.93 W and 52.52%, respectively. Increasing the operating temperature of SOFC helps to improve the efficiency of fuel cells, but the efficiency of the integrated system of methane steam reforming hydrogen production and SOFC first increases and then decreases. This system can realize the direct coupling between the SOFC reactor subsystem and the methane steam reforming hydrogen production system under optimized conditions, which has reference significance for the actual operating conditions of the coupled system.

What is already known about this topic?Allergic diseases have affected an estimated 40%of the population in China.However,our understanding of the full spectrum of these diseases remains insufficient.What is added by this report?Between 2018 and 2021,Yichang City documented 625,929 outpatient visits mainly related to skin and mucous membrane allergies(77.90%)and allergic respiratory conditions(19.64%).In 2021,the occurrence of outpatient visits for conditions such as allergic rhinitis,acute atopic conjunctivitis,and atopic dermatitis increased.The demographic analysis revealed that male patients comprised the majority of the under 18 age bracket(56.05%),while female patients were predominantly represented in the 18 to 65 age bracket(61.79%).What are the implications for public health practice?This constitutes the first analysis of the spectrum of allergic diseases,utilizing regional outpatient data,which has substantial implications for understanding the disease burden.

Drug resistance presents one of the major causes for the failure of cancer chemotherapy.Cancer stem-like cells(CSCs),a population of self-renewal cells with high tumorigenicity and innate chemoresistance,can survive conventional chemotherapy and generate increased resistance.Here,we develop a lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticle for co-delivery and cell-distinct release of the differentiation-inducing agent,all-trans retinoic acid and the chemotherapeutic drug,doxorubicin to overcome the CSC-associated chemoresistance.The hybrid nanoparticles achieve differential release of the combined drugs in the CSCs and bulk tumor cells by responding to their specific intracellular signal variation.In the hypoxic CSCs,ATRA is released to induce differentiation of the CSCs,and in the differentiating CSCs with decreased chemoresistance,DOX is released upon elevation of reactive oxygen species to cause subsequent cell death.In the bulk tumor cells,the drugs are released synchronously upon the hypoxic and oxidative conditions to exert potent anticancer effect.This cell-distinct drug release enhances the synergistic therapeutic efficacy of ATRA and DOX with different anticancer mechanism.We show that treatment with the hybrid nanoparticle efficiently inhibit the tumor growth and metastasis of the CSC-enriched triple negative breast cancer in the mouse models.

Summary What is already known about this topic?Skin diseases are common,affect society and individuals,and have high incidences to relapse,which reduces the quality of life.In 2019,skin diseases were the seventh leading global causes of years lived with disability(YLDs).What is added by this report?All-age disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)and YLDs from skin diseases have been steadily increasing in China from 1990 through 2019,although with a decline in the standardized rate of years of life lost(YLLs).In 2019,dermatitis was the leading cause of YLLs among people over the age of 15 years,while viral skin diseases had the greatest burden among people under 15 years.Acne vulgaris increased significantly among people aged 15–49 years,and psoriasis increased among people over 50 years.The male∶female ratio of DALYs lost due to skin disease did not change between 1990 and 2019.

In this study, the levels of soluble delta-like ligand 1 in cerebmspinal fluid and serum of 50 patients with tuberculous meningitis, 30 patients with viral meningitis, 20 patients with purulent meningitis and 40 subjects without central nervous system disease were determined using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The mean levels of soluble delta-like ligand 1 in both cerebrospinal fluid and serum from patients with tuberculous meningitis were significantly higher compared with those from patients with viral meningitis or purulent meningitis or from subjects without central nervous system disease. Meanwhile, the level of soluble delta-like ligand 1 gradually decreased as tuberculous meningitis patients recovered. If patients deteriorated after treatment, the level of soluble delta-like ligand 1 in cerebrospinal fluid gradually increased. There was no correlation between the level of soluble delta-like ligand 1 and the protein level/cell number in cerebrospinal fluid. Our findings indicate that the levels of soluble delta-like ligand 1 in cerebrospinal fluid and serum are reliable markers for the diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis and for monitoring treatment progress. At the same time, this index is not influenced by protein levels or cell numbers in cerebrospinal fluid.

Optimization of CNC Turning Machining Parameters Based on Bp-DWMOPSO Algorithm

Cutting parameters have a significant impact on the machining effect.In order to reduce the machining time and improve the machining quality,this paper proposes an optimization algorithm based on Bp neural networkImproved Multi-Objective Particle Swarm(Bp-DWMOPSO).Firstly,this paper analyzes the existing problems in the traditional multi-objective particle swarm algorithm.Secondly,the Bp neural network model and the dynamic weight multi-objective particle swarm algorithm model are established.Finally,the Bp-DWMOPSO algorithm is designed based on the established models.In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm,this paper obtains the required data through equal probability orthogonal experiments on a typical Computer Numerical Control(CNC)turning machining case and uses the Bp-DWMOPSO algorithm for optimization.The experimental results show that the Cutting speed is 69.4 mm/min,the Feed speed is 0.05 mm/r,and the Depth of cut is 0.5 mm.The results show that the Bp-DWMOPSO algorithm can find the cutting parameters with a higher material removal rate and lower spindle load while ensuring the machining quality.This method provides a new idea for the optimization of turning machining parameters.

Influence of traffic on the temperature field of tunnel in cold region:A case study on the world’s longest highway spiral tunnel

The impact of the piston wind caused by vehicle traffic on the temperature field distribution of the tunnel cannot be ignored,especially in spiral tunnels,where the temperature field distribution is more complicated than that in straight tunnels.Based on the world’s longest highway spiral tunnel,this study explores the influence of traffic on the temperature fields of spiral and straight tunnels,and proposes a new design method for laying length of insulation layer.The results show that traffic has a significant effect on the temperature field dis-tribution in the tunnel.The influence degree of different traffic elements decreases in the following order:average vehicle speed>daily traffic>morning rush hour>evening rush hour.The temperature field distribution of spiral tunnels is asymmetry on the left and right compared with straight tunnels,while the influence degree of traffic on the outside of spiral tunnels is similar to that of straight tunnels.Due to the difference of wind direction and traffic direction at different tunnel openings,an asymmetric insulation layer laying method is proposed.It is suggested that the lengths of the insulation layers of the Jinjiazhuang Tunnel should be 1200 m for the right tunnel inlet,700 m for the right tunnel outlet,700 m for the left tunnel inlet,and 1400 m for the left tunnel outlet.

Structural Traces of Secondary Faults(Fractures) along the Main Faults and Their Reliability as Kinematic Indicators

Secondary/minor structures occurring along the main fault surfaces are important indicators for judging the kinematic characteristics of faults.However,many factors can lead to the formation of these structures,which results in the difficulty for rapid judgment and application in the fields.A series of secondary faults/fractures developed due to the movement of main faults are the most important and widespread phenomena in the scope of brittle deformation.The morphology of the main fault surfaces is various,and former researchers mainly discussed the structures on the main even fault surfaces. However,the fluctuation of fault surfaces is the intrinsic character of the faults,and the intersection between the main fault and secondary faults/fractures can produce a series of kinematic indicators on the main fault surfaces.Based on previous studies and our observations,i.***.the structural traces of the P,R,R',T and X shears/faults along the main faults,some indicators which are rarely reported previously,are described in the paper.Furthermore,their reliabilities are also discussed,and more practical and reliable criteria are brought forward.We suggest that the simple application of congruous and incongruous steps without knowing their exact origins should be abandoned in the fields,and several types of indicators along one fault surface should be checked with each other as much as possible.Meanwhile,the origins of some other arcuate indicators on the fault surfaces are also discussed,and new models are brought forward.
