Simultaneous thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis （TG-DTA） was used to study the kinetics and the degradation of magnesium salicylate（ C14H10MgO6 ） in air. The results show that the decomposition proceeds through two steps. The kinetics of the first decomposition step was studied. The activation energies were calculated by using the Friedman and Flynn Wall Ozawa（FWO） methods, and the most probable kinetic model function was estimated using the multiple linear regression method. The values of the correlated kinetic parameters for the first decomposition step are E = 152.97 kJ/mol, lg（A/S^-1 ） = 10. 78, f（α） = （ 1 - α）^n（ 1 ＋Kcatα）, n =0. 691, and Kcat = 1. 3048.

Electrochemical catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) have attracted increasing attentions. noble metal-free cocatalysts play a vital role in HER applications. Herein, a novel strategy to prepare a ni_(2)P/MoS_(2) cocatalyst through a simple hydrothermal-phosphorization method was reported, and the prepared cocatalyst was then loaded on an n-doped carbon substrate with excellent conductive performance. The large surface area of the carbon substrate provided many active sites, and the interface between ni_(2)P and MoS_(2) improved the catalytic performance for the HER. Compared with pure ni_(2)P catalyst and MoS_(2) catalyst, the prepared ni_(2)P/MoS_(2) cocatalyst exhibited enhanced catalytic performance. In addition, the results indicate that the prepared cocatalyst has a wide p H range and low onset potential values of 280, 350 and40 m V in acidic, phosphate-buffered saline and alkaline solutions, respectively, and the corresponding Tafel slopes are 75, 121 and 95 mV dec^(-1),respectively. Density functional theory(DFT) was adopted to calculate the hydrogen adsorption free energy(ΔG_(H)^(*)). The results showed that the interface between ni_(2)P and MoS_(2) reduced ΔG_H^(*), which was beneficial to the adsorption of hydrogen. Present preparation of cocatalysts with unique interfaces provides a new strategy for improving the catalytic performance of HER.

Evolution of Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Zr-Containing Y-CLAM During Thermal Aging

The thermal stability and mechanical properties of China low activation martensitic steel with Zr and Y were investigated via thermal aging at 550 °C for 8000 h. The Laves phase content monotonically increased with thermal aging, and the volume fraction of the Laves phases stabilized in the alloy after 3000 h of thermal aging. The observed degradation in mechanical properties was because of the coarsening of M23C6 carbides and matrix grains during the earlier stages of thermal aging. The precipitation of Laves phases and V3Zr3C particles increased the strength and hardness of the alloy. Grain coarsening was the primary reason for the decrease in impact properties, and the ductile-to-brittle transition temperature increased from-71 to -48 °C after 8000 h of thermal aging.

A kind of novel electroluminescence polymer has been prepared by oxidative-coupling polymerization of n-alkyl carbazole and trans-stilbene. The structure of the copolymers was characterized by elemental analysis, UV-vis and FTIR spectra. The copolymers have good solubility in chloroform and acetone. Fluorescence spectra showed that these polymers are blue-light emitting materials.

Bismuth sulfide(Bi_(2)S_(3))has attracted particular interest as a potential anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).However,the low electrical conductivity and dramatic volumetric change greatly restrict its practical *** view of the apparent structural and compositional advantages of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)derived carbon-based composite,herein,as a proof of concept,Bi_(2)S_(3) spheres coated with the MOF-derived Co_(9)S_(8) and n-doped carbon composite layer(Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/nC composite spheres)have been rational designed and *** expected,the core-shell Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/nC composite spheres exhibit remarkable electrochemical performance in terms of high reversible capacity(597 m Ah g^(-1) after 100 cycles at 0.1 A g^(-1)),good rate capability(341 m Ah g^(-1) at 8 A g^(-1))and long-term cycling stability(458 m Ah g^(-1) after 1000 cycles at 1 A g^(-1))when investigated as anode materials for *** analyses further reveal the favorable reaction kinetics in the Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/nC composite *** addition,the possible sodium storage mechanism has been studied by ex-situ X-ray diffraction *** importantly,a sodium-ion full cell based on na_(3) V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/r GO as cathode and Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/nC as anode is also fabricated,suggesting their potential for practical *** is anticipated that the present work could be extended to construct other advanced electrode materials using MOFs-derived carbon-based composites as surface coating materials for various energy storagerelated applications.

In this work,holey graphitic carbon nitride(HCn)was prepared by one-step thermal polymerization of hydrothermal product of melamine and then loaded with ni/MoO2(niMo)cocatalyst obtained by naBHa reduction *** obtained material was used for photocatalytic production of H2 from water reduction and H202 production from 02 *** best photocatalyst(1%niMo/HCn)exhibited a Hz evolution rate of 8.08 umolh while no H2 was detected over 1%niMo-modifed bulk g-C3n4(BCn)under visible light ***,this rate is 1.7 times higher than that of 1%Pt-modified *** 1%niMo/HCn catalyst also exhibited the highest H20z production activity with a value of 6.13 umol/*** enhancement was ascribed to the efficient charge carrier separation and migration,which were promoted by the large specific surface area and pore volume of HCn and the synergy between MoO2 and *** proposed method to obtain HCn is expected to open up new ways in development of highly-active HCn-based photocatalysts for photocatalytic reduction reactions.

PbS-based thermoelectric materials have attracted extensive attention in recent years for the advantages of earth abundancy and low cost,which is considered to be a substitute for traditional PbTe ***,their high thermal conductivity restricts its ***,in order to improve their thermoelectric performance from reducing the thermal conductivity,a kind of dendritic PbS with controlled crystal grain and morphology are obtained by solution *** adjusting the amount of surfactant(CTAB),the specific formation process of dendrites is *** sintering,the dendritic PbS nanoparticles are easy to form porous structure due to the overlapping and staggered arrangement of dendritic *** comparison,we also prepare a kind of regular octahedral PbS and a dense packing arrangement is formed because of the integrity of the octahedral ***-based Boltzmann transport equation is used to prove the crucial role of porous structure in scattering ***,a maximum zT=1.0 at 773 K in n-type PbS is obtained,which still keep a high-speed growth and is expected to get higher zT value in a higher temperature *** work may shed light to other thermoelectric materials from the formation of porous structure to reduce the thermal conductivity.

Fabricating a hollow cuboctahedral structure for n-doped carbon coated p-n heterojunctions towards high-performance photocatalytic organic transformation

The application of semiconductors-based photocatalysts in organic transformation has been limited by the low light utilization efficiency and the rapid recombination of photo-induced charge *** this paper,we have successfully fabricated a hollow cuboctahedral nanostructure(CnnCH),which is composed of n-doped carbon layer and CuO/niO p-n *** hollow structure in CnnCH can effectively favor the light utilization through the multiple light reflection and *** separation of photo-induced charge carriers can be highly improved by the exitence of charge transfer pathways between the p-n heterojunctions and semiconductor/n-doped carbon layer *** to the above advantages,hollow cuboctahedral CnnCH as the photocatalyst has behaved high performance towards the photocatalytic cross-dehydrogenative coupling reaction.
