Application of silk fibroin coatings for biomaterial surface modification:a silk road for biomedicine

Silk fibroin(SF)as a natural biopolymer has become a popular material for biomedical applications due to its minimal immunogenicity,tunable biodegradability,and high biocompatibility.Nowadays,various techniques have been developed for the applications of SF in bioengineering.Most of the literature reviews focus on the SF-based biomaterials and their different forms of applications such as films,hydrogels,and scaffolds.SF is also valuable as a coating on other substrate materials for biomedicine;however,there are few reviews related to SF-coated biomaterials.Thus,in this review,we focused on the surface modification of biomaterials using SF coatings,demonstrated their various preparation methods on substrate materials,and introduced the latest procedures.The diverse applications of SF coatings for biomedicine are discussed,including bone,ligament,skin,mucosa,and nerve regeneration,and dental implant surface modification.SF coating is conducive to inducing cell adhesion and migration,promoting hydroxyapatite(HA)deposition and matrix mineralization,and inhibiting the Notch signaling pathway,making it a promising strategy for bone regeneration.In addition,SF-coated composite scaffolds can be considered prospective candidates for ligament regeneration after injury.SF coating has been proven to enhance the mechanical properties of the substrate material,and render integral stability to the dressing material during the regeneration of skin and mucosa.Moreover,SF coating is a potential strategy to accelerate nerve regeneration due to its dielectric properties,mechanical flexibility,and angiogenesis promotion effect.In addition,SF coating is an effective and popular means for dental implant surface modification to promote osteogenesis around implants made of different materials.Thus,this review can be of great benefit for further improvements in SF-coated biomaterials,and will undoubtedly contribute to clinical transformation in the future.

Intelligent fire information system based on 3D GIS

Background This work aims to build a comprehensive and effective fire emergency management system based on the Internet of Things(IoT)and achieve an actual intelligent fire rescue.A smart fire protection information system was designed based on the IoT.A detailed analysis was conducted on the problem of rescue vehicle scheduling and the evacuation of trapped persons in the process of fire rescue.Methods The intelligent fire visualization platform based on the three-dimensional(3D)Geographic Information Science(GIS)covers project overview,equipment status,equipment classification,equipment alarm information,alarm classification,alarm statistics,equipment account information,and other modules.The live video accessed through the visual interface can clearly identify the stage of the fire,which facilitates the arrangement of rescue equipment and personnel.The vehicle scheduling model in the system primarily used two objective functions to solve the Pareto Non-Dominated Solution Set Optimization:emergency rescue time and the number of vehicles.In addition,an evacuation path optimization method based on the Improved Ant Colony(IAC)algorithm was designed to realize the dynamic optimization of building fire evacuation paths.Results The experimental results indicate that all the values of detection signals were significantly larger in the smoldering fire scene at t=17s than the initial value.In addition,the probability of smoldering fire and the probability of open fire were relatively large according to the probability function of the corresponding fire situation,demonstrating that this model could detect fire.Conclusions The IAC algorithm reported here avoided the passages near the fire and spreading areas as much as possible and took the safety of the trapped persons as the premise when planning the evacuation route.Therefore,the IoT-based fire information system has important value for ensuring fire safety and carrying out emergency rescue and is worthy of popularization and application.

A spatiotemporal intelligent framework and experimental platform for urban digital twins

Backgrounds This work emphasizes the current research status of the urban Digital Twins to establish an intelligent spatiotemporal framework.A Geospatial Artificial Intelligent(GeoAI)system is developed based on the Geographic Information System and Artificial Intelligence.It integrates multi-video technology and Virtual City in urban Digital Twins.Methods Besides,an improved small object detection model is proposed:YOLOv5-Pyramid,and Siamese network video tracking models,namely MPSiam and FSSiamese,are established.Finally,an experimental platform is built to verify the georeferencing correction scheme of video images.Result The MultiplyAccumulate value of MPSiam is 0.5B,and that of ResNet50-Siam is 4.5B.Besides,the model is compressed by 4.8times.The inference speed has increased by 3.3 times,reaching 83 Frames Per Second.3%of the Average Expectation Overlap is lost.Therefore,the urban Digital Twins-oriented GeoAI framework established here has excellent performance for video georeferencing and target detection problems.

亚洲分枝杆菌肺病一例并文献复习

目的:报道1例亚洲分枝杆菌肺病患者临床诊治过程,并结合文献分析该病临床特征、影像特点及预后。方法:以1971年1月至2019年9月为检索时间,分别从PubMed数据库中以“Mycobacterium asiaticum”为检索词检索到27篇相关文献,其中仅有7例为亚洲分枝杆菌肺病患者报道;而以“亚洲分枝杆菌,肺病”为检索词在万方数据库和中国知网数据库中均未检索到相关文献。总结本例患者特征并进行入选患者文献复习。结果:本例亚洲分枝杆菌肺病患者为中老年女性,且合并结构性肺病,以咳嗽、咳痰为主诉,以支气管扩张、空洞为主要影像表现,痰液及肺泡灌洗液抗酸杆菌涂片及快速分枝杆菌培养均为阳性,DNA微阵列芯片法菌种鉴定均为结核分枝杆菌复合群,药物敏感性试验(液体法)提示对利福平、异烟肼、左氧氟沙星、贝达喹啉均耐药,血γ-干扰素释放试验、痰液及肺泡灌洗液TB-RNA和TB-DNA、探针熔解曲线法检测结核分枝杆菌对利福平和异烟肼耐药均为阴性,经肺泡灌洗液多种病原体靶向测序(tNGS)提示为亚洲分枝杆菌而临床确诊。抗非结核分枝杆菌药物治疗8个月后,患者呼吸道症状缓解、病灶好转,痰液及肺泡灌洗液分枝杆菌培养阴转,治疗有效。另7例报道患者中,合并结构性肺病4例,合并肿瘤1例(未启动治疗),5例肺部病灶以结节和空洞形成为主;治疗方案存在差异,其中3例接受1年以上治疗后实现临床治愈,2例临床症状及影像学有好转(包括1例实现细菌学阴转),1例复发。结论:亚洲分枝杆菌肺病相关报道较少,临床表现不典型,易误诊,对抗酸杆菌涂片及分枝杆菌培养阳性且菌种鉴定提示为结核分枝杆菌复合群但TB-RNA和TB-DNA阴性的患者,应注意排除非结核分枝杆菌肺病,tNGS检测有助于临床诊断,值得临床医生重视。

目的旨在分析肺癌合并肺结核(LC-PTB)患者的外周血蛋白组学特征,寻找其与肺癌(LC)患者的差异蛋白并对差异蛋白进行功能分析。方法研究共纳入8例LC-PTB患者和10例LC患者,LC均为经病理确诊且未接受任何治疗的初诊患者,PTB均为采样时结核杆菌病原性阳性。应用液相色谱-质谱串联技术对上述患者的外周血样本进行蛋白质组学检测,并评估其间的差异蛋白,进而通过生物信息学进行功能分析。结果两组共检测到5185种蛋白质,识别出190种差异蛋白,其中58种表达上调,132种表达下调。亚细胞定位分析显示,差异蛋白主要集中在细胞质、细胞核和细胞外基质。KEGG通路及GO分析进一步揭示了差异蛋白在免疫反应、新陈代谢和分泌调控等生物过程中的作用。蛋白质互作网络分析指出SORT1、SAR1B、RPS6KB1、VWF、SHC1、SRPRB、CTSD、TARDBP、RPLP0、PSMA2、RPS6、XPO1、PRKACB、HLA-DRB1等可能在LC-PTB发生发展中发挥重要作用。此外,ADA2、MAP3K1、GLS2等蛋白的表达变化也可能与LC-PTB的发展密切相关。结论蛋白组学图谱全面描述了LC-PTB的蛋白组学特征并发现众多表达差异蛋白,有望为LC-PTB生物学机制研究提供进一步的线索。

目的探讨影响结核性胸腔积液并发胸膜增厚的相关危险因素。方法回顾性分析2019年1月至2021年3月广州市胸科医院呼吸内科收治的123例结核性胸腔积液患者的临床资料,统计患者胸膜增厚情况,采用单因素及非条件Logistic回归法分析患者胸膜增厚的影响因素。结果胸膜未增厚与胸膜增厚患者性别、年龄、肺结核、胸水分布、用力肺活量(FVC)、第1秒用力呼气容积(FVE1)/FVC、胸水腺苷脱氨酶(ADA)、血清ADA、胸水白细胞、胸水淋巴细胞、胸水中性粒细胞和淋巴细胞比例比较差异无统计学意义;胸膜未增厚与胸膜增厚患者胸水量、胸水吸收时间、FVE1、胸水乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)、血清LDH、胸水蛋白、血清蛋白比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。Logistic回归分析结果显示,胸水量(中大量)、FVE1、胸水LDH、血清LDH、胸水蛋白及血清蛋白是胸膜增厚发生的危险因素(P<0.05)。结论结核性胸腔积液并发胸膜增厚是多因素作用的结果,胸水量、FVE1、胸水吸收时间、胸水LDH、血清LDH、胸水蛋白和血清蛋白与胸膜增厚的发生密切相关,建议临床予以密切监测并积极采取针对性干预措施。

Freeze-drying-assisted Synthesis of Mesoporous CoMoO4 Nanosheets as Anode Electrode Material for Enhanced Lithium Batteries

A facile and green freeze-drying-assisted method was proposed to synthesize C0MoO4 mesoporous nano-sheets(MPNSs).The resulting product exhibits a Mgh specific capacity and good rate perfomance when evalimte an anode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).The reversible specific capacity can be kept at 1105.2 mA·h·g^-1 after 100 cycles at a current density of 0.2 A/g.Even at the current densities of 1 and 4 A/gs the CoMoO4 MPNSs electrode can still retain the reversible capacities of 1148.7 and 540 mA·h·g^-1,respectively.Furthermore,the full cell(LiPePO4 catliode/CoMoO4 MPNSs anode)displays a stable discharge capacity of 146.7 mA·h·g^-1 at 0.1 C(1 C=170 mA/g)together with an initial coulombic efficiency of 98.2%.In addition,the CoMoO4 crystal structure is destroyed and reduced into Co^0 and Mo^0 in the first discharge process.In the subsequent cycles,the attractive Li storage properties come from the reversible conversions between Co/Co^2+and Mo/Mo^6+.The improved electroche-mical performance of CoMoO4 MPNSs is mainly attributed to their unique porous structures,which not only possess a good ion diffusion and electronic conduction pathway,but also provide many cavities to alleviate the volume changes during repeated cycling.This work offers a new perspective to the design of other porous electrode materials with a good energy storage performance.

Relationship between stomatal density and the changes of atmospheric CO_2 concentrations

The relationship between the stomatal density of five woody plants endemic to China, i.e. Eucommia ulmoides, Quercus liaotungensis, Q. glandulifera var. brevipetiolata, Cyclocarya paliurus and Ficus heteromorpha, and the atmospheric CO-2 concentrations was studied by observations on leaves of the herbarium-stored specimens(1920s-1990s). The results showed that the stomatal density in Eucommia ulmoides, Quercus liaotungensis and Q. glandulifera% var. brevipetiolata decreased significantly in response to the elevated atmospheric CO-2 concentrations, while in Cyclocarya paliurus it decreased slightly and in Ficus heteromorpha there were no responses.
