Herein,we report a condition-controlled divergent synthesis of spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones and spiro isochroman-3,1'-isoindolinones through cobalt-catalyzed formal[4+1]and[4+1+1]spirocyclization of aromatic amides with 2-diazo-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-*** the reaction is carried out under air in ethyl acetate,spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones are formed through Co(II)-catalyzed C—H/N—H[4+1]*** the reaction is run under O2 in CH3CN,on the other hand,spiro isochroman-3,1'-isoindolinones are generated through Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of the in situ formed spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones with O2 as a cheaper and environmental-friendly oxygen *** general,these protocols have advantages such as using non-precious and earth-abundant metal catalyst,no extra additive,high efficiency and regioselectivity.A gram-scale synthesis and the removal of the directing group further highlight its utility.

Environmental changes,such as ocean acidification and eutrophication,have created threats to kelp *** this study,the growth,photosynthesis,respiration and nutrient composition of Saccharina japonica were evaluated at different levels of pCO2(400 and 800μL L−1)and nutrients(nutrient-enriched and non-enriched seawater).Elevated pCO2 decreased the relative growth rate(RGR),net photosynthetic rate and contents of tissue carbon and tissue nitrogen under non-enriched nutrient conditions,but it had no significant effect on these parameters under nutrient-enriched *** dark respiration rate was positively affected by elevated pCO2 regardless of the nutrient ***,the C:N was unaffected by elevated pCO2 at both nutrient *** results implied that ocean acidification could reduce the production and nutrient contents in the tissues of ***,which was associated with nutrient conditions.

The primary cilium,an important microtubule-based organelle,protrudes from nearly all the vertebrate *** motility of cilia is necessary for various developmental and physiological ***(PIs)and its metabolite,Ptd Ins(4,5)P2,have been revealed to contribute to cilia assembly and *** an important kinase of the PI pathway and signaling,phosphatidylinositol 4-kinaseβ(PI4 KB)is the one of the most extensively studied phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase ***,its potential roles in organ development remain to be *** investigate the developmental role of Pi4 kb,especially its function on zebrafish ciliogenesis,we generated pi4 kb deletion mutants using clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 *** homozygous pi4 kb mutants exhibit an absence of primary cilia in the inner ear,neuromasts,and pronephric ducts accompanied by severe edema in the eyes and other ***,smaller otic vesicle,malformed semicircular canals,and the insensitivity on sound stimulation were characteristics of pi4 kb *** the protein level,both in vivo and in vitro analyses revealed that synthesis of Pi4 p was greatly reduced owing to the loss of Pi4 *** addition,the expression of the Pi4 kb-binding partner of neuronal calcium sensor-1,as well as the phosphorylation of phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate downstream effecter of Akt,was significantly inhibited in pi4 kb *** together,our work uncovers a novel role of Pi4 kb in zebrafish inner ear development and the functional formation of hearing ability by determining hair cell ciliogenesis.

General purpose graphic processing unit （GPU） calculation technology is gradually widely used in various fields. Its mode of single instruction, multiple threads is capable of seismic numerical simulation which has a huge quantity of data and calculation steps. In this study, we introduce a GPU-based parallel calculation method of a precise integration method （PIM） for seismic forward modeling. Compared with CPU single-core calculation, GPU parallel calculating perfectly keeps the features of PIM, which has small bandwidth, high accuracy and capability of modeling complex substructures, and GPU calculation brings high computational efficiency, which means that high-performing GPU parallel calculation can make seismic forward modeling closer to real seismic records.

The abnormal increase of drifting brown alga Sargassum horneri was initially documented in *** formed blooms along the coast of East China Sea and Yellow Sea in *** this study,we investigated the changes of specific growth rate and resource accumulation of drifting *** in response to temperature and nitrogen richness at different growth stages under laboratory *** investigation lasted from June 2015 to April 2016 with the observation made every two *** results showed that the life cycle consists of a few growth stages dividable with morphological *** growth can be divided into shedding and withering(August),rapid growing(October to September),slow growing(February),rapid growing(April)and maturation(June)*** the experimental condition,algal segments were found to grow at temperatures ranging from 5 to 25℃in 12 days even when nitrogen is deficient.A significant difference in the special growth rate(SGR)between nitrogen-enriched and nitrogen-removed treatments was found in most months(Plikely that the high temperature and nitrogen concentration in winter and spring lead to the high biomass accumulation of drifting ***.

The emergence of two-dimensional(2 D) materials has inspired academia in microelectronics to find a novel device structure to offer a potential technological route for increasing energy efficiency and processing speed for data storage and computing at transistor level. Devices based on 2 D materials include logic gates and memories, each with their own unique features. However, integrating logic function and memory into a single device has barely been studied. Here, we report a non-volatile AND gate based on Al2O3/HfO2/Al2O3 charge-trap stack. The device can store charges after completing logic operation. The ratio of high and low current states during logic operations can exceed 105. The output current states during the logic and memory operations still have a two orders of magnitude distinction after 800 s, indicating that this device possesses the non-volatile characteristic. The device has potential applications for insitu memory applications, which makes it a possible candidate to break the ‘‘memory wall' at transistor level.

Enhancing the tunneling magneto-Seebeck(TMS) ratio and uncovering its underlying mechanism are greatly demanded in spin *** magnitude and sign of the TMS effect depend on the type of atom and the stacking order of atoms at the ***,we demonstrate that TMS ratios can be effectively manipulated by altering heterogonous or homogeneous interface through decoration on the CoFeSi(001) surface inserted on the MgO insulating *** maximum TMS ratio of pure Co_(2)/O termination is 4565% at 800 ***,the TMS ratio of the FeSi/O termination has two peak values,of which the maximum could reach up to-3290% at 650 *** comparing two different atom arrangements at the interface,we reveal that the sign and symbol of the TMS ratio can be controlled by the temperature and different atomic configurations at the Co_(2)FeSi/MgO ***,the spin-Seebeck coefficient up to ~150 μV/K is also possible when we select suitable terminations and *** findings will provide useful insights into how to control the sign and symbol of the TMS ratio and accordingly stimulate the development field of magneto-thermoelectric power and spin caloritronic devices based on the magneto-Seebeck effect in Heusler-based metallic multilayers.

Porous silicon carbide(SiC)has a specific biomorphous microstructure similar to the trabecular microstructure of human *** with that of bioactive ceramics,such as calcium phosphate,SiC does not induce spontaneous interface bonding to living *** this study,bioactive tantalum(Ta)metal deposited on porous SiC scaffolds by chemical vapour deposition was investigated to accelerate osseointegration and improve the bonding to *** electron microscopy indicated that the Ta coating evenly covered the entire scaffold ***-dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the coating consisted of Ta *** bonding strength between the Ta coating and the SiC substrate is *** yield strength of porous SiC with a Ta coating(pTa)was 45.862.9MPa,the compressive strength was 61.463.2MPa and the elasticmodulus was*** MG-63 human osteoblasts were co-cultured with pTa,osteoblasts showed good adhesion and spreading on the surface of the pTa and its porous structure,which showed that it has excellent bioactivity and *** further study the osseointegration properties of *** and porous titanium(pTi)were implanted into the femoral neck of goats for 12weeks,*** Van-Gieson staining of histological sections results that the pTa group had better osseointegration than the pTi *** results indicate that coating bioactive Ta metal on porous SiC scaffolds could be a potential material for bone substitutes.

Fracture is one of the most common traumatic diseases in clinical practice,and metal plates have always been the first choice for fracture treatment because of their high ***,the bone plates have high elastic modulus and do not match the biomechanics of human bone,which adversely affects callus formation and fracture ***,the complex microenvironment in the human body can induce corrosion of metallic materials and release toxic ions,which reduces the biocompatibility of the bone plate,and may necessitate surgical removal of the *** this study,tantalum(Ta)was deposited on porous silicon carbide(SiC)scaffolds by chemical vapor deposition technology to prepare a novel porous tantalum(pTa)trabecular bone metal *** function of the novel bone plate was evaluated by implantation in an animal fracture *** results showed that the novel bone plate was effective in fracture fixation,without *** X-ray and microcomputed tomography analysis showed indirect healing by both pTa trabecular bone metal plates and titanium(Ti)plates;however,elastic fixation and obvious callus formation were observed after fixation with pTa trabecular bone metal plates,indicating better bone *** showed that pTa promoted the formation of new bone and integrated well with the host ***,this novel pTa trabecular bone metal plate has good prospects for application in treating fractures.
