The growth characteristic of primary faceted Al_(2)Cu intermetallic compounds(IMCs)during solidification was observed directly by synchrotron *** formation and transition mechanisms of Al_(2)Cu IMCs with diverse morphologies were elucidated by first-principle calculations combined with electron backscatter diffraction *** Al_(2)Cu crystals preferred to grow along the[001]direction and were bounded by{110}planes with the lowest surface *** faceted Al_(2)Cu rod-like clusters consisted of multiple crystals with complete rod,hollowness and partial sides,which was attributed to the increase in strain energy and solute redistribution during *** faceted Al_(2)Cu with branches was characteristic with the perpendicular relationship between the main branches and side steps and partial coalescence at the junction,which was ascribed to the continuous propagation and growth of newly formed crystals along the diagonal direction.

In order to understand the rate-controlling process for the interfacial layer growth of brazing joints brazed with active composite filler materials, the thickness of brazing joints brazed with conventional active filler metal and active composite filler materials with different volume fraction of AI2O3 participate was studied. The experimental results indicate although there are Al2O3 particulates added into active filler metals, the time dependence of interfacial layer growth is t2 as described by Fickian law for the joints brazed with conventional active filler metal. It also shows that the key factor affecting the interfacial layer growth is the volume fraction of alumina in the composite filler material compared with the titanium weight fraction in the filler material.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM)is the most common inherited heart disease and is characterized by primary left ventricular hypertrophy usually caused by mutations in sarcomere *** mechanism underlying cardiac remodeling in HCM remains incompletely *** investigation of HCM through integrative analysis at multi-omics levels will be helpful for treating *** methylation and chromatin accessibility,as well as gene expression,were assessed by nucleosome occupancy and methylome sequencing(NOMe-seq)and RNA-seq,respectively,using the cardiac tissues of HCM *** with those of the controls,the transcriptome,DNA methylome,and chromatin accessibility of the HCM myocardium showed multifaceted *** the transcriptome level,HCM hearts returned to the fetal gene program through decreased sarcomeric and metabolic gene expression and increased extracellular matrix gene *** the DNA methylome,hypermethylated and hypomethylated differentially methylated regions were identified in *** the chromatin accessibility level,HCM hearts showed changes in different genome *** transcription factors,including SP1 and EGR1,exhibited a fetal-like pattern of binding motifs in nucleosome-depleted regions in *** particular,the inhibition of SP1 or EGR1 in an HCM mouse model harboring sarcomere mutations markedly alleviated the HCM phenotype of the mutant mice and reversed fetal gene ***,this study not only provides a high-precision multi-omics map of HCM heart tissue but also sheds light on the therapeutic strategy by intervening in the fetal gene reprogramming in HCM.
