Scheduling Framework Using Dynamic Optimal Power Flow for Battery Energy Storage Systems

Battery energy storage systems(BESS)are instrumental in the transition to a low carbon electrical network with enhanced flexibility,however,the set objective can be accomplished only through suitable scheduling of their operation.This paper develops a dynamic optimal power flow(DOPF)-based scheduling framework to optimize the day(s)-ahead operation of a grid-scale BESS aiming to mitigate the predicted limits on the renewable energy generation as well as smooth out the network demand to be supplied by conventional generators.In DOPF,all the generating units,including the ones that model the exports and imports of the BESS,across the entire network and the complete time horizon are integrated on to a single network.Subsequently,an AC-OPF is applied to dispatch their power outputs to minimize the total generation cost,while satisfying the power balance equations,and handling the unit and network constraints at each time step coupled with intertemporal constraints associated with the state of charge(SOC).Furthermore,the DOPF developed here entails the frequently applied constant current-constant voltage charging profile,which is represented in the SOC domain.Considering the practical application of a 1 MW BESS on a particular 33 kV network,the scheduling framework is designed to meet the pragmatic requirements of the optimum utilization of the available energy capacity of BESS in each cycle,while completing up to one cycle per day.

An Agent-based Simulation Model of Wheat Market Operation:The Benefit of Support Price

Grain security is one of the most important issues worldwide.Many developing countries,including China,have adopted the Agriculture Support Price(ASP)program to stimulate farmers’enthusiasm for growing grain,to ensure self-sufficiency in grain and the stable development of the grain market.To propose decision support for the government in designing a more reasonable support price in the ASP program,we formulate an agent-based model to simulate the operation of the wheat market in the harvest period.To formulate the formation process of the market price influenced by farmers’expected sale price,processors’expected purchase price,and the ASP,the time series and regression methods are adopted.Based on the proposed market price model,to quantitatively analyze the grain transaction process and the ASP program’s impacts on market agents,we develop an agent-based simulation model to describe the adaptive evolution and interaction among market agents.Furthermore,we validate and implement the simulation model with public wheat market data.Finally,insights and suggestions about the decision of the ASP program are provided.

Hydrological and sediment connectivity under freeze-thaw meltwater compound erosion conditions on a loessal slope

Freeze-thaw processes can influence hydrology,soil erosion,and morphological development by altering the connectivity between active pathways of water and sediment transport.Concentrated flow experi-ments were conducted involving frozen,shallow thawed,and unfrozen soil slopes under 1,2,and 4 L/min runoff rates at a temperature of approximately 5℃.In this study,hydrological connectivity was analysed via the simplified hydrological curve and relative surface connection function.Sediment con-nectivity was analysed via the sediment structure connectivity and sediment functional connectivity.Results indicated that hydrological connectivity was greatest on frozen slopes(FS),followed by shallow thawed slopes(STS),and unfrozen slopes(UFS)given a constant flow rate.Hydrological connectivity increased with increasing runoff rate for each freeze-thaw condition.Freezing condition and runoff rate exhibited a positive response to the hydrological connectivity.Sediment structure connectivity increased with increasing runoff rate for each slope condition.The ordering of sediment structure connectivity across freeze-thaw condition was that FS was greater than STS while STS was greater than UFS inde-pendent of flow rate.Sediment functional connectivity included longitudinal,lateral,and vertical con-nectivity components.Sediment longitudinal and vertical connectivity indicated a trend of first increasing and then decreasing under the different runoff rates and freeze-thaw conditions.For a given runoff rate,the ordering of sediment longitudinal and vertical connectivity across freeze-thaw condition was that FS was greater than STS while STS was greater than UFS.Sediment lateral connectivity exhibited a trend of first decreasing and then stabilizing.The ordering of sediment lateral connectivity across freeze-thaw condition was that UFS was greater than STS while STS was greater than FS.FS could more easily reach longitudinal and vertical penetration.Sediment longitudinal and vertical connectivity rates demonstrated increasing trends

Establishment of a sediment transport capacity equation on loessal slope via experimental investigation

Areliable sediment transport capacity function provides response against challenges of soil erosion prediction on the Loess Plateau of China. The popular sediment transport capacity functions are questionable on loess slopes because the experimental conditions from which they were derived, like bed materials, gentle slopes,and surface roughness, are different from soil erosion processes on the loess slopes. Due to the foregoing uncertainty, a suitable sediment transport capacity function was developed based on a flume experiment investigation. The erodible bed experiment was implemented for five unit width discharges(1.3 × 10-4-3.3 × 10-4m2/s) and ten slopes(5.2%-57.7%). The selected sediment transport capacity equations were tested in an applicability evaluation. The results of this evaluation found that the Govers(1990) function had the best performance(P.O.0.5-2.0= 76%, R2= 0.93, RMSE = 0.03 kg/(m·s)), followed by the Yalin(1963) function(P.O.0.5-2.0= 80%, R2= 0.81, RMSE = 0.05 kg/(m·s)), and finally by the Low(1989) function(P.O.0.5-2.0= 72%,R2= 0.79, RMSE = 0.04 kg/(m·s)), where P.O.0.5-2.0is the percentage of estimated values with logarithmic discrepancies with the measured value between 0.5 and 2.0; R2is the coefficient of determination and RMSE is the roof mean squares error. The cohesive sediment incipient motion velocity is introduced into the Govers(1990) function, and the sediment particle parameter is determined from measured experimental data. The developed sediment transport capacity equation has good performance with predicted values corresponding to measured values(P.O.0.5-2.0= 98%, R2= 0.98, RMSE = 0.006 kg/(m·s)). The research results provide an improved sediment transport capacity function on the basis of experiments for steep loessal slopes.

Sin1-mediated mTOR signaling in cell growth, metabolism and immune response

The mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR) is an evolutionarily conserved Ser/Thr protein kinase with essential cellular function via processing various extracellular and intracellular inputs. Two distinct multi-protein m TOR complexes(mTORC), m TORC1 and m TORC2, have been identified and well characterized in eukaryotic cells from yeast to human. Sin1, which stands for ■,also known as mitogen-activated protein kinase■ (MAPKAP)1, is an evolutionarily conserved adaptor protein. Mammalian Sin1 interacts with many cellular proteins, but it has been widely studied as an essential component of m TORC2, and it is crucial not only for the assembly of m TORC2 but also for the regulation of its substrate specificity. In this review, we summarize our current knowledge of the structure and functions of Sin1, focusing specifically on its protein interaction network and its roles in the m TOR pathway that could account for various cellular functions of m TOR in growth,metabolism, immunity and cancer.

立足国际货币竞争的数字化特征,建立货币数字化与货币国际化关系的函数,并据此构建国际货币竞争模型,仿真模拟央行数字货币同私人加密数字货币的竞合关系。研究发现:数字货币潜在的网络外部性是决定其国际化收益的主要因素。提升货币数字化水平的能力会构成数字货币国际化的先发优势,但无法长期维持甚至产生负作用。因此,数字货币的职能拓展不可一蹴而就,降低货币数字化风险、审慎利用货币数字化推动货币国际化将成为最优策略。此外,与强势国际货币挂钩的央行数字货币将在与私人加密数字货币的竞争中占据绝对优势,而弱势央行数字货币则面临来自私人加密数字货币的激烈竞争甚至可能被替代。

Recovery of lithium using H_(4)Mn_(3.5)Ti_(1.5)O_(12)/reduced graphene oxide/polyacrylamide composite hydrogel from brine by Ads-ESIX process

Powdery li^(+)-imprinted manganese oxides adsorbent was widely used to the recovery of li^(+),but there are some difficulties,such as poor stability in acid solution,inconvenience of operation and separation.In this work,a useful hydrogel composite based H_(4)Mn_(3.5)Ti_(1.5)O_(12)/reduced graphene oxide/polyacrylamide(HMTO-rGO/PAM)was fabricated by thermal initiation method with promising stable,conductive and selective properties.The resulting materials were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope,infrared absorption spectrum,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical techniques.The recovery of li^(+)was investigated using HMTO-rGO/PAM from brine by a separated two-stage sorption statically and electrically switched ion exchange desorption process.The adsorption capacity of 51.5 mg·g^(-1)could be achieved with an initial li^(+)concentration of 200 mg·L^(-1)in pH 10,at 45℃ for 12 h.li^(+)ions could be quickly desorbed by cyclic voltammetry(CV)in pH 3,0.1 mol·L^(-1)HCl/NH;Cl accompanying the exchange of li^(+)and H+(NH;)and the transfer of LMTO-rGO/PAM to HMTO-rGO/PAM.

Ubiquitin-propargylamide(Ub-PA) is one of the most widely used activity-based probe to measure the activity of deubiquitinases(DUBs) and help validate DUBs targeting inhibitors. However, current synthetic route of Ub-PA is cumbersome. In this work, we report a novel semi-synthetic strategy to prepare Ub-PA in large-scale. Biochemical assays prove that semi-synthetic Ub-PA is an effective probe in identifying DUBs targeting inhibitors.

央行数字货币(CBDC)是数字经济时代下货币演化的必然趋势。文章利用一个关于CBDC的非对称净收益函数,用于刻画CBDC未来潜在不可精确计量的收益、成本和风险,并以此建立CBDC两国博弈模型,对其在CBDC领域的不计息与计息策略进行理论分析和仿真模拟。结果显示:在信息不对称条件下,双方在一次博弈后就将达到计息均衡。而在完全信息条件下,双方在短期内进入计息均衡,但面临“囚徒困境”,此时风险水平相对较高国家的净收益下降会更快;长期而言,双方可能重新回到不计息均衡。此外,虽然计息可能导致未来净收益大幅下降,但一国有必要具备对CBDC进行计息的能力。

Background:High salt-diets have become significant threats to human health,resulting in hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy are complicated,since the maternal cardiovascular system undergoes extensive physiological changes during pregnancy.High-salt diets during pregnancy can disturb the intrauterine environment and negatively affect fetal development.Therefore,we explored how high-salt diets during pregnancy could affect the offspring.Methods:Rats were divided into three groups and fed with low,normal,and high salt diets.The offspring were separated into three groups after weaning based on dietary salt concentration.The blood pressure and urine protein content of both dams and offspring were measured.To evaluate cardiac function,we used Masson staining and immunodetection to confirm the fibrosis status.Finally,we extracted protein from cardiac tissue to test the expression levels of the Nitric Oxide(NO)/cGMP-dependent protein kinase I(PKGI)pathway and the angiotensin receptor.Results:High-salt diets increased blood pressure,and offspring previously exposed to high-salt environments were predisposed to hypertension.High-salt diets were also found to induce cardiac fibrosis and exacerbate fibrosis in offspring and alter the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT).Under these conditions,the NO/PKGI pathway was activated in cardiac tissue and the type-1angiotensin II receptor(AT1R)was upregulated,though the type-2 angiotensin II receptor(AT2R)had the opposite effect.Conclusion:High-salt diets induce high blood pressure and increase predisposition to hypertension in offspring.They are accompanied by cardiac fibrosis,which could be caused by the activation of NO/PKGI and upregulation of AT1R.
