Background Microbial communities are crucial for ecosystems. A central goal of microbial ecological research is to simplify the biodiversity in natural environments and quantify the functional roles to explore how the ecosystems respond under different environmental conditions. However, the research on the stability and dynamics of lake microbes in response to repeated warming stress is *** To exclude confounding environmental factors, we conducted a 20-day repeated warming simulation experiment to examine the composition and function dynamics of lake microbial *** Experimental warming significantly altered the community structure of bacteria instead of fungi. Microbial community structure, together with microbial biomass, jointly regulated the function of microbial communities. The plummeting of aerobic denitrifiers Pseudomonadaceae decreased by 99%(P < 0.001) after high temperature, leading to reduced microbial nitrogen metabolism on nitrogen respiration and nitrate respiration. Under warming conditions, the microbial community with higher adaptability showed more positive correlations and less competitive relationships in co-occurrence networks to acclimate to *** Microbiome composition controlled carbon and nitrogen metabolism, thus determining lake microbial communities' adaptability to heat stress. This study extended our insights on the lake microbial community response and adaptability under warming drivers.

EmotionIC: emotional inertia and contagion-driven dependency modeling for emotion recognition in conversation

Emotion recognition in conversation(ERC) has attracted growing attention in recent years as a result of the advancement and implementation of human-computer interface technologies. In this paper,we propose an emotional inertia and contagion-driven dependency modeling approach(EmotionIC) for ERC tasks. Our EmotionIC consists of three main components, i.e., identity masked multi-head attention(IMMHA), dialogue-based gated recurrent unit(DiaGRU), and skip-chain conditional random field(SkipCRF).Compared to previous ERC models, EmotionIC can model a conversation more thoroughly at both the feature-extraction and classification levels. The proposed model attempts to integrate the advantages of attention-and recurrence-based methods at the feature-extraction level. Specifically, IMMHA is applied to capture identity-based global contextual dependencies, while Dia GRU is utilized to extract speaker-and temporal-aware local contextual information. At the classification level, SkipCRF can explicitly mine complex emotional flows from higher-order neighboring utterances in the conversation. Experimental results show that our method can significantly outperform the state-of-the-art models on four benchmark *** ablation studies confirm that our modules can effectively model emotional inertia and contagion.

Background:Cochlear hair cell injury is a common pathological feature of hearing *** basic helix-loop-helix family,member e40(Bhlhe40),a gene belonging to the basic helix-loop-helix(bHLH)family,exhibits strong transcriptional repression ***:Oxidative damage,in House Ear Institute-Organ of Corti 1(HEI-OC1)cells,was caused using hydrogen peroxide(H2O2).The Ad-Bhlhe40 particles were constructed to overexpress Bhlhe40 in HEI-OC1 *** assays including cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end-labeling assay(TUNEL),ﬂow cytometry,immunoﬂuorescence,and corresponding commercial kits were employed to investigate the impacts of Bhlhe40 on cell viability,apoptosis,oxidative stress levels,mitochondrial membrane potential and cellular ***,a dual-luciferase reporter assay was performed to conﬁrm the targeting of the histone deacetylases 2(Hdac2)by ***:The results revealed that Bhlhe40 was downregulated in H_(2)O_(2)-treated HEI-OC1 cells,but its overexpression improved cell viability and mitigated H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative injury in HEI-OC1 cells with increase of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)activities and decrease of reactive oxygen species(ROS)***,overexpression of Bhlhe40 suppressed H_(2)O_(2)-triggered cell senescence,as evidenced by the fact that the upregulation of P53,P21,and P16 in HEI-OC1 cells treated with H2O2 were all alleviated by Bhlhe40 *** we further veriﬁed that overexpression of Bhlhe40 could inhibit the expression of Hdac2,which may be related to the repression of Hdac2 ***:This study suggests that Bhlhe40 plays a protective role against senescence and oxidative damage in cochlear hair cells exposed to H2O2.

In this research,a method employing micro-extrusion was designed to produce the micro-scaled barrel-shaped parts with complex geometrical features to study the feasibility of the proposed microforming method and its grain size effect on the formability of the complicated internal features in terms of deformation behavior,material evolution,accuracy of dimensions and final components *** results reveal that the deformation behavior is highly affected by grain size and becomes unpredictable with increased grain *** addition,assembly parameters including feature dimension,tolerance and coaxiality also vary with grain size,and the variation of grain size needs to be accommodated by different assembly types,viz.,clearance fit or transition *** the microstructural evolution aspect,it was identified there were two dead zones and four shear bands,and the formation of these deformation zones was barely affected by the variation in grain *** bulges,cracks,and fracture induced voids were observed on the surface of the final components,tailoring the microstructure of the working material with finer grains could significantly avoid these *** study advances the understanding of forming microparts by extrusion processes and provides guidance for microforming of similar microparts.
