Parity-dependent skin effects and topological properties in the multilayer nonreciprocal Su−Schrieffer−Heeger structures

We concentrate on the skin effects and topological properties in the multilayer non-Hermitian Su−Schrieffer−Heeger (SSH) structure, by taking into account the nonreciprocal couplings between the different sublattices in the unit cells. Following the detailed demonstration of the theoretical method, we find that in this system, the skin effects and topological phase transitions induced by nonreciprocal couplings display the apparent parity effect, following the increase of the layer number of this SSH structure. On the one hand, the skin effect is determined by the parity of the layer number of this SSH system, as well as the parity of the band index of the bulk states. On the other hand, for the topological edge modes, such an interesting parity effect can also be observed clearly. Next, when the parameter disorders are taken into account, the zero-energy edge modes in the odd-layer structures tend to be more robust, whereas the other edge modes are easy to be destroyed. In view of these results, it can be ascertained that the findings in this work promote to understand the influences of nonreciprocal couplings on the skin effects and topological properties in the multilayer SSH lattices.

目的探讨不同程度初级膝内翻对前交叉韧带(anterior cruciate ligament,ACL)重建术后早期膝关节功能和稳定性的影响。方法回顾性分析2020年1月—2021年12月收治且符合选择标准的160例合并初级膝内翻患者临床资料,均采用自体单束腘绳肌初次重建ACL。根据髋-膝-踝角(hip-knee-ankle angle,HKA)将患者分为3组,A组(0°~3°)64例、B组(3°~6°)55例、C组(6°~9°)41例。3组患者除HKA差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。末次随访时,通过前抽屉试验、Lachman试验、轴移试验和SSD评估关节稳定性;使用Tegner评分、Lysholm评分和IKDC客观评分评估关节功能。结果3组术后切口均Ⅰ期愈合。患者均获随访,随访时间24~31个月,平均26个月;A、B、C组随访时间差异无统计学意义(Z=0.675,P=0.714)。末次随访时,各组膝关节稳定性以及功能检测指标均较术前改善,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。3组患者Kellgren-Lawrence分级、HKA与术前一致。结论初级膝内翻不会影响ACL重建术后早期膝关节稳定性和功能恢复,且不同程度膝内翻间疗效无明显差异。

Solar active regions(ARs) are formed by the emergence of current-carrying magnetic flux tubes from below the photosphere. Although for an isolated flux tube the direct and return currents flowing along the tube should balance with each other, it remains controversial whether such a neutralization of currents is also maintained during the emergence process. Here we present a systematic survey of the degrees of the current neutralization in a large sample of flux-emerging ARs which appeared on the solar disk around the central meridian from 2010 to *** vector magnetograms taken by Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager onboard Solar Dynamic Observatory are employed to calculate the distributions of the vertical current density at the photosphere. Focusing on the main phase of flux emergence, i.e., the phase in which the total unsigned magnetic flux is continuously increased, we statistically examined the ratios of direct to return currents in all the ARs. Such a large-sample statistical study suggests that most of the ARs were born with currents close to neutralization. The degree of current neutralization seems to be not affected by the active-region size, the active-region growing rate, and the total unsigned *** only correlation of significance as found is that the stronger the magnetic field nonpotentiality is, the further the AR deviates from current neutrality, which supports previous event studies that eruption-productive ARs often have non-neutralized currents.

Neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1) is one of the most common genetic disorders that predisposes patients to benign and malignant tumors of the peripheral nervous system. Plexiform and cutaneous neurofibromas are NF1-associated benign tumors. Despite their benign nature, they can cause tremendous morbidity in patients with NF1. Therapeutic drug options are limited to the MEK inhibitor, selumetinib, which is the only approved drug for pediatric patients with plexiform neurofibromas. Antifibrotic strategies have substantial therapeutic potential for NF1-associated neurofibromas. This review discusses the fibrotic features of plexiform and cutaneous neurofibromas focusing on the pathological composition of the extracellular matrix. It also highlights the core pathways implicated in the biochemical and biophysical regulation of the extracellular matrix remodeling in tumor imitation and progression. Finally, this review provides a brief outlook on how exploring novel vulnerabilities residing in the aberrant extracellular matrix and their underlying pathways can benefit the treatment of NF1-associated neurofibromas.

Performance Prediction Based Workload Scheduling in Co-Located Cluster

Cloud service providers generally co-locate online services and batch jobs onto the same computer cluster,where the resources can be pooled in order to maximize data center resource *** to resource competition between batch jobs and online services,co-location frequently impairs the performance of online *** study presents a quality of service(QoS)prediction-based schedulingmodel(QPSM)for *** performance prediction of QPSM consists of two parts:the prediction of an online service’s QoS anomaly based on XGBoost and the prediction of the completion time of an offline batch job based on ***-line service QoS anomaly prediction is used to evaluate the influence of batch jobmix on on-line service performance,and batch job completion time prediction is utilized to reduce the total waiting time of batch *** the same number of batch jobs are scheduled in experiments using typical test sets such as CloudSuite,the scheduling time required by QPSM is reduced by about 6 h on average compared with the first-come,first-served strategy and by about 11 h compared with the random scheduling *** with the non-co-located situation,QPSM can improve CPU resource utilization by 12.15% and memory resource utilization by 5.7% on *** show that the QPSM scheduling strategy proposed in this study can effectively guarantee the quality of online services and further improve cluster resource utilization.
