This study aims to analyze the coking process and propose an effective method for the reutilization of fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)coke block.herein,we analyzed the basic characteristics and chemical composition of FCC coke blocks.The results showed that the main components were carbon,oxygen,and aluminum,accounting for 60.8%,26.6%,and 11.5%,respectively.Under the conventional catalytic cracking reaction temperature from 500°C to 600°C,the formation of the first aromatic hydrocarbon was particularly important for the formation of coke.The condensation of oil-gas-entrained catalyst particles and their heavy components was the physical cause of coking,while the dehydrogenation condensation reaction of oil-gas heavy components was the chemical factor.In addition,the membrane prepared by powdered coke had excellent photothermal conversion ability,which could be heated to more than 110°C within 360 s under two fixed light intensities.The evaporation rate of photothermal water was 5.89 kg m 2 h−1,which has great industrial application potential.These works provide a novel and effective method of separation membrane for the reutilization of FCC coke blocks.

High-energy density lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)with layered high-nickel oxide cathodes(LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(1-x-y)O_(2),x≥0.8)show great promise in consumer electronics and vehicular applications.However,LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(1-x-y)O_(2)faces challenges related to capacity decay caused by residual alkalis owing to high sensitivity to air.To address this issue,we propose a hazardous substances upcycling method that fundamentally mitigates alkali content and concurrently induces the emergence of an anti-air-sensitive layer on the cathode surface.Through the neutralization of polyacrylic acid(PAA)with residual alkalis and then coupling it with 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane(KH550),a stable and ion-conductive cross-linked polymer layer is in situ integrated into the LiNi_(0.89)Co_(0.06)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)(NCM)cathode.Our characterization and measurements demonstrate its effectiveness.The NCM material exhibits impressive cycling performance,retaining 88.4%of its capacity after 200 cycles at 5 C and achieving an extraordinary specific capacity of 170.0 mA h g^(-1) at 10 C.Importantly,this layer on the NCM efficiently suppresses unfavorable phase transitions,severe electrolyte degradation,and CO_(2)gas evolution,while maintaining commendable resistance to air exposure.This surface modification strategy shows widespread potential for creating air-stable LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(1-x-y)O_(2)cathodes,thereby advancing high-performance LIBs.

Inverted perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have attracted broad research and industrial interest owing to their suppressed hysteresis,cost-effectiveness,and easy-fabrication.However,the issue of non-radiative recombination losses at the n-type interface between the perovskite and fullerene has impeded further improvement of photovoltaic performance.here,we modify the n-type interface of FAPbI_(3) perovskite films by constructing a stereochemical two-dimensional(2D) perovskite interlayer,in which the organic cations comprise both pyridine and ammonium groups.The pyridine N donor can create stable bonding with the surface-uncoordinated Pb on the perovskite,thereby passivating the shallow-level defects and enhancing the air stability of the film.Furthermore,the pyridine N donor also offers a positive polar interface to decrease the surface work function of the perovskite film,enabling n-type modification.Ultimately,we employ a p-i-n photovoltaic(PV) device with the positive dipole interlayer at perovskite/fullerene contact and achieve remarkable photoelectric conversion efficiency(PCE) of 22.0%.

Hydrothermal stability is crucial for the practical application of deNO_(x)catalyst on diesel vehicles,for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).SnO_(2)-based materials possess superior hydrothermal stability,which is attractive for the development of NH_(3)-SCR catalyst.In this work,a series of Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts,with Ce and Nb loading on SnO_(2)support,were prepared by impregnation method.It was found that,the NH_(3)-SCR activities and hydrothermal stabilities of the Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts significantly varied with the impregnation sequences,and the Ce-Nb(f)/SnO_(2) catalyst that firstly impregnated Nb and then impregnated Ce exhibited the best performance.The characterization results revealed that CeNb(f)/SnO_(2)possessed appropriate acidity and redox capability.Furthermore,the strong synergistic effect between Nb and Sn species stabilized the structure and maintained the dispersion of acid sites.This study may provide a new understanding for the effect of impregnation sequence on activity and hydrothermal stability and a new environmental-friendly NH_(3)-SCR catalyst with potential applications for NO_(x)removal from diesel and hydrogenfueled engines.

Characterization of a Novel Esterase Belonging to Family V from Marinobacter flavimaris

Lipolytic enzymes have attracted enormous attentions because of their ability in ester hydrolysis,ester synthesis,transesterification and other biochemical reactions.Bacteria are important sources of lipolytic enzymes applied in industry.here,a novel lipolytic enzyme encoded by esterase gene est1347 was identified in Marinobacter flavimaris WLL162,and was purified and characterized.The lipolytic enzyme Est1347 consisted of 312 amino acid residues and a 21-amino-acids N-terminal signal peptide with a predicted molecular weight of 34.2 kDa.It belongs to family V of bacterial lipolytic enzymes based on the amino acid sequence homology analysis.Est1347 is a mesophilic and alkali-resistant enzyme with the highest activity at 45℃and pH 8.5;it is stable at temperatures below 50℃and pH 7.5–11.0.Est1347 showed a preference for middle-length chain substrate p-NPC10 and a wide range of other substrates.The Km,Vmax,Kcat and Kcat/Km values of Est1347 for p-NPC10 in pH 8.5 at 45℃were 0.9411 mmol L^(−1),1285μmol min^(−1)mg^(−1),698.91 s^(−1)and 743.65 s^(−1)(mmol L^(−1))^(−1),respectively.It is also tolerant to the metal ions,organic solvents and detergents.In conclusion,the esterase Est1347 laid a foundation for further study of bacterial lipolytic enzyme family V.

Reasonably designing highly active,environmentally friendly,and cost-effective catalysts for efficient elimination of pollutants from water is desirable but challenging.herein,an efficient heterogeneous photo-Fenton catalyst tourmaline(TM)/tungsten oxide(WO_(3-x))(named TW10)containing tungsten/boron/iron(W/B/Fe)synergistic active centers and 90%of cheap natural tourmaline(TM)mineral rich in Fe and B elements.The TW10 catalyst can quickly activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)to generate massive active free radicals,which may induce the rapid and efficient degradation of tetracycline(TC).The TW10/PMS/Visible light system can effectively degrade up to 98.7%of tetracycline(TC)in actual waters(i.***.seawater,Yellow River,and Yangtze River water),and the catalytic degradation rates reach 1.65,5.569,and 2.38 times higher than those of TM,WO_(3-x),and commercial P25(Degussa,Germany),respectively.In addition,the catalyst can be recycled and reused multiple times.Electron spin resonance spectroscopy(EPR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometer(LC-MS)analyses confirm that the synergistic catalytic effect of W/B/Fe sites on the TW10 catalyst accelerates the electron transfer between Fe(Ⅱ)and Fe(Ⅲ),as well as between W(Ⅴ)and W(Ⅵ),and thus promotes the rapid degradation of TC.The catalytic reaction mechanism and degradation pathway of TC were explored.This work provides a feasible route for the design and development of new eco-friendly and efficient catalyst.

TiO_(2)-supported V_(2)O_(5)catalysts are commonly used in NO_(x)reduction with ammonia due to their robust catalytic performance.Over these catalysts,it is generally considered that the active species are mainly derived from the vanadia species rather than the intrinsic structure of V-O-Ti entities,namely the interface sites.To reveal the role of V-O-Ti entities in NH_(3)-SCR,herein,we prepared TiO_(2)/V_(2)O_(5)catalysts and demonstrated that V-O-Ti entities were more active for NO_(x)reduction under wet conditions than the V sites(V=O)working alone.On the V-O-Ti entities,kinetic measurements and first principles calculations revealed that NH_(3)activation exhibited a much lower energy barrier than that on V=O sites.Under wet conditions,the V-O-Ti interface significantly inhibited the transformation of V=O to V-OH sites thus benefiting NH_(3)activation.Under wet conditions,meanwhile,the migration of NH_(4)^(+)from Ti site neighboring the V-O-Ti interface to Ti site of the V-O-Ti interface was exothermic;thus,V-O-Ti entities together with neighboring Ti sites could serve as channels linking NH_(3)pool and active centers for activation of NH_(4)^(+).This finding reveals that the V-O-Ti interface sites on V-based catalysts play a crucial role in NO_(x)removal under realistic conditions,providing a new perspective on NH_(3)-SCR mechanism.

Individuals tend to move freely when there is enough room but would act collectively for their survival under external stress.In the case of living cells,for instance,when a drop of low-density flagellated bacterial solution is transferred onto the agar surface,the initially disordered movement of individual bacteria would be replaced with coordinated cell swarming after a lag phase of a few hours.here,we study how such cooperation is established while overcoming the disorder at the onset of the lag phase with single nanoparticle tracking.Upon the spreading of the droplet,the bacteria in the solution cluster and align near the almost immobilized contact line confining the drop,forming a narrow ring of cells.As individual cells move in and out of the ring continuously,certain flow patterns emerge in the inter-bacterial fluid.We reveal high-speed long-distance unidirectional flows with definite chirality along the outside of the ring,along the inside of the ring and across the ring.We speculate that these flows enable the fast and efficient transport,facilitating the communication and unification of the bacterial community.

A method for detecting two-dimensional plane stress distribution in basin-type insulator based on critically refracted longitudinal wave

Basin-type insulator often has small cracks due to stress concentration.The current method cannot accurately reflect the stress condition of the insulator to find the stress concentration areas.To solve these problems,a method for detecting two-dimensional plane stress(δ_(1) andδ_(2))within different depth ranges in a basin-type insulator is proposed based on critically refracted longitudinal(LCR)wave.First,the acoustoelastic equation characterising the relationship between the variation of LCR wave propagation time and the plane stress was derived.Next,the propagation characteristics of LCR wave in epoxy resin samples were investigated.Then,the stress distribution within different depth ranges of the insulator subjected to hydraulic load was measured using the proposed method,including direction(θ),δ_(1) andδ_(2).The results show that the magnitude of the stress alone cannot accurately characterise the stress state.Points with equal distances to the centre have similar stress magnitudes,but their directions are not the same.With increasing depth,θremains essentially unchanged at the same location,whileδ1 andδ2 decrease,and the rate of decrease varies at different locations.Comparing the measured and simulated data,the results showed that they were in good agreement,and the maximum errors of stress value andθwere 0.69 MPa and 2.97°,respectively,which confirmed the feasibility and accuracy of the stress detection in the proposed method.

As the system becomes more intelligent and embedded,the operating environment is gradually changed from closed,static,and controllable to more open,dynamic,and difficult to control.As a result,the design of complex software systems is faced with many challenges arising from the uncertainty of the environment(UoE).On the one hand,ignoring the UoE to manually describe requirements is not only a tough job,but it can also hinder the discovery of potential requirements;on the other hand,it is a challenge to integrate the representation of and reasoning of UoE into the process of modeling complex systems.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of complex systems engineering,this paper takes solving the UoE caused by stakeholders prefer-ences and complex environment context as the entry point and designs a fuzzy con-trol decision-making framework.Specifically,the framework contributes to the spiral of complex systems while solving the UoE by constructing a closed-loop intelligent sys-tem based on automatic data flow between information space and physical space for environment sensing,uncertainty analysis,requirements mining,fuzzy reasoning,deci-sion execution as well as feedback optimization.Finally,the framework is validated with a concrete example of an adaptive treadmill system based on the support tools developed.
