This paper discusses the special situation when a shaft-tunnel junction is subject to vertically propagating P *** a complicated system like the shaft-tunnel junction,it is necessary to investigate the most basic cases firstly,and the responses induced by uniform P waves are one of *** this end,a closed-form solution is derived from the classical differential equation describing the forced vibration of a single degree-of-freedom *** key issue is the characterization of the coupled dynamic interactions among the shaft,the tunnel,and the *** paradigm regards the three of them as a massive rigid body,a continuous Euler-Bernoulli beam,and a set of supporting elements,*** final solution is to calculate the displacements of the shaft and the tunnel in the form of two compact equations,and the internal forces of the tunnel are therefore easily *** means of a finite element simulation,the validity as well as the accuracy of the closed-form solution is *** solution provides an explicit comprehension of the coupled dynamic interactions and thus enhances the understanding of the dynamic mechanics of the shaft-tunnel junction.

Distribution of Aluminum and Fluoride in Tea Plant and Soil of Tea Garden in Central and Southwest China

The distribution of Al and F contents and the relationship between Al and F in tea plants and soils of 12 tea gardens in Central and Southwest China were investigated from October 31 to November 14, 2006. The results show that there were differences in pH, CEC, the contents of organic matter （OM）, Al and F in the different soils of the tea gardens. The Al content ranged from 1196 to 7976mg/kg for old leaf, 370 to 2681mg/kg for young leaf and 285 to 525mg/kg for stem, whereas the content of F ranged from 221 to 1504mg/kg for old leaf, 49 to 602mg/kg for young leaf and 13.5 to 77.5mg/kg for stem. The concentrations of labile Al varied obviously in the different soils, but the distribution law of labile Al content for the same garden was Alexchangeable≈*** oxide〉Alorganic〉***. The contents of different labile F fractions varied slightly in the different soils and the different soil layers, though the exchangeable F content was lowest among the labile F in the soils. The concentrations of Al and F in tea plants increased with increasing amount of water-soluble Al or F, especially the amount of water-soluble fractions in the soil layer of 0-20cm. The correlation between Al content and F content in the tea leaf was more significant than that in the tea stem. Furthermore, the correlation between Al content and F content in whole tea plant was strongly significant （r=0.8763, p〈0.01, n=36）. There were evident tendency that Al concentration increased with the increase of F concentration in different soil layers. The correlation of water-soluble Al with water-soluble F in all soils was also strongly significant （r=0.7029, p〈0.01, n=34）. The results may provide a proof that Al and F are jointly taken up by tea plants to some extent in natural tea gardens.

目的:检测一例痣样基底细胞癌综合征患者的PTCH1基因突变。方法:收集患者临床资料,提取患者及其3位相关亲属(患者的父母及妹妹)外周血DNA,采用PCR扩增PTCH1基因编码区的全部外显子及其侧翼序列。同时以200名无关健康者外周血基因组DNA作对照。结果:患者的PTCH1基因发生c.590G>A杂合突变,导致氨基酸发生p.W197X改变。患者的父母、妹妹及200名健康对照未见该基因突变位点。结论:PTCH1基因p.W197X突变很可能是本例患者Gorlin综合征的病因。

Mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)cascades regulate a myriad of plant biological processes,including disease *** genomes encode a large number of MAPK kinase kinases(MAPKKKs)that can be divided into two subfamilies,namely MEKK-like kinases and Raf-like *** far,the func-tions of MEKK-like MAPKKKs have been relatively well characterized,but the roles of Raf-like MAPKKKs *** MAPK cascades remain less ***,we report the role of OsEDR1,a Raf-like MAPKKK,in the regulation of the MAPK cascade in rice response tp the bacterial pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoc).We found that OsEDR1 inhibits OsMPKK10.2(a MAPK kinase)activity through physical *** Xoc infection,OsMPKK10.2 is phosphorylated at S304 to activate OsMPK6(a MAPK).Interestingly,activated OsMPK6 phosphorylates OsEDR1 at S861,which destabilizes OsEDR1 and thus releases the inhibition of OsMPKK10.2,leading to increased OsMPKK10.2 activity and enhanced resistance of rice plants to *** together,these results provide new insights into the functions of Raf-like ki-nases in the regulation of the MAPK cascade in plant immunity.

Global warming has altered the thermodynamic and dynamic environments of the climate system, thus affecting the energy budget and water cycle process of the land-atmosphere system. Under changes in key hydrological elements such as precipitation, runoff, and terrestrial water storage, future drought variation remains a complex question. Existing studies have utilized terrestrial water storage anomaly(TWSA) in drought monitoring and assessment, but they usually focused on either drought duration or intensity, overlooking the multi-faced attributes of droughts as well as their socioeconomic impacts under a non-stationary condition. In this study, we first identify dry/wet conditions over China using GRACE/GRACE-FO satellite observations, and then evaluate the feedback effects of humidity and energy factors(e.g., sensible heat flux, latent heat flux,atmospheric relative humidity, and convective available potential energy) to drought events. Future changes in TWSA and dry/wet conditions are projected by eight Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6) global climate models(GCMs)under three shared socioeconomic pathways(SSPs), with their biases corrected by a trend-preserving quantile mapping *** time-varying Copula function of drought duration and intensity is constructed by a moving windows method, and future bivariate drought risks are quantified with the most likely realization method. The population and GDP affected by increasing drought risks are finally quantified based on the SSPs data. It is found that the land-atmosphere coupling effects closely interact with drought evolution, and the uneven distribution of water resources is projected to be further aggravated, with most areas of China will be threatened by continuous drying tendency. By the end of the century, the duration of moderate, severe and exceptional droughts in some regions of China will double, and the drought intensity will increase by over 80%. Somatic Embryogenesis Receptor Kinases Control Root Development Mainly via Brassinosteroid-Independent Actions in Arabidopsis thaliana

Brassinosteroids （BRs）, a group of plant steroidal hormones, play critical roles in many aspects of plant growth and development. Previous studies showed that BRI1-mediated BR signaling regulates cell division and differentiation during Arabidopsis root development via interplaying with auxin and other phytohormones. Arabidopsis somatic embryogenesis receptor-like kinases （SERKs）, as co-receptors of BRI1, were found to play a fundamental role in an early activation step of BR signaling pathway. Here we report a novel function of SERKs in regulating Arabidopsis root development. Genetic analyses indicated that SERKs control root growth mainly via a BR-independent pathway. Although BR signaling pathway is completely disrupted in the serkl bakl bkkl triple mutant, the root growth of the triple mutant is much severely damaged than the BR deficiency or signaling null mutants. More detailed analyses indicated that the triple mutant exhibited drastically reduced expression of a number of genes critical to polar auxin transport, cell cycle, endodermis development and root meristem differentiation, which were not observed in null BR biosynthesis mutant cpd and null BR signaling mutant bril-701.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the effectiveness of pediatric Tuina(PT) in preventing recurrent acute respiratory tract infections(ARTIs) in children. METHODS: This is a retrospective cohort study based on the electronic medical records of children with recurrent ARTIs in 2016. Children were divided into a PT group or a non-PT group, according to whether they had received PT or not in 2016. The primary outcome was the number of ARTI episodes in 2017 and 2018. The secondary outcomes were the number of ARTIs leading to outpatient department visits and outpatient antibiotic prescriptions due to ARTIs in the same time period. Negative binomial regressions were used to detect the association between PT and the outcomes. RESULTS: A total of 2303 children were included in the analysis, including 94 in the PT group and 2209 in the non-PT group. Children who received PT six or more times in 2016 had fewer episodes of ARTIs in 2017 [incidence rate ratio(IRR): 0.59, 95% confidence interval(CI)(0.42-0.84)] and 2018 [IRR: 0.58, 95% CI(0.36-0.94)] and fewer outpatient department visits due to ARTIs in 2017 [IRR: 0.56, 95% CI(0.38-0.83)] than children who had not received PT in 2016. There was no significant difference in the number of outpatient antibiotic prescriptions between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: Receiving PT six or more times within one year is associated with a decrease in recurrent ARTIs in children in the following two years. Randomized controlled trials are needed for effect evaluation prior to establishing PT as a method for preventing recurrent ARTIs among children.
