Geiger mode avalanche photodiode detector （Gm-APD） possesses the ultra-high sensitivity. Photon counting chirped amplitude modulation （PCCAM） light detection and ranging （lidar） uses the counting results of the returned signal detected by Gm-APD to mix with the reference signal, which makes PCCAM lidar capable of realizing the ultra-high sensitivity, and this is very important for detecting the remote and weak signal. However, Gm-APD is a nonlinear device, different from traditional linear detectors. Due to the nonlinear response of Gm-APD, the counting results of the returned signal detected by Gm-APD are different from those of both the original modulation signal and the reference signal. This will affect the mixing effect and thus degrade the detection performance of PCCAM lidar. In this paper, we propose a response probability correction method. First, the response probability correction model is established on the basis of Gm-APD Poisson prob- ability response model. Then, the response probability correction model is used to adjust the original modulation signal that is used to drive laser, in order to make the counting results of the returned signal detected by Gm-APD better mix with the local reference signal in the same form. Through this method, the detection performance of PCCAM lidar is enhanced efficiently.

BACKGROUND Single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)are universally present in nucleotide excision repair(NER)pathway genes,which could make impacts on colorectal carcinogenesis and *** To explore the association of all tagSNPs in NER pathway genes with colorectal cancer(CRC)risk and prognosis in a northern Chinese population by a two-stage case-control design composed of a discovery and validation *** Genotyping for NER SNPs was performed using kompetitive allele specific *** the discovery stage,39 tagSNPs in eight genes were genotyped in 368 subjects,including 184 CRC cases and 184 individual-matched *** the validation stage,13 SNPs in six genes were analyzed in a total of 1712 subjects,including 854 CRC cases and 858 CRC-free *** Two SNPs(XPA rs10817938 and XPC rs2607775)were associated with an increased CRC risk in overall and stratification *** cumulative and interaction effects were also demonstrated in the studied SNPs on CRC *** two SNPs(ERCC2 rs1052555 and ERCC5 rs2228959)were newly found to be associated with a poor overall survival of CRC *** Our findings suggest novel SNPs in NER pathway genes that can be predictive for CRC risk and prognosis in a large-scale Chinese *** present study has referential values for the identification of all-round NER-based genetic biomarkers in predicting the susceptibility and clinical outcome of CRC.

Researchers have recently achieved significant advances in deep learning techniques, which in turn has substantially advanced other research disciplines, such as natural language processing, image processing, speech recognition, and software engineering. Various deep learning techniques have been successfully employed to facilitate software engineering tasks, including code generation, software refactoring, and fault localization. Many studies have also been presented in top conferences and journals, demonstrating the applications of deep learning techniques in resolving various software engineering tasks. However,although several surveys have provided overall pictures of the application of deep learning techniques in software engineering,they focus more on learning techniques, that is, what kind of deep learning techniques are employed and how deep models are trained or fine-tuned for software engineering tasks. We still lack surveys explaining the advances of subareas in software engineering driven by deep learning techniques, as well as challenges and opportunities in each subarea. To this end, in this study, we present the first task-oriented survey on deep learning-based software engineering. It covers twelve major software engineering subareas significantly impacted by deep learning techniques. Such subareas spread out through the whole lifecycle of software development and maintenance, including requirements engineering, software development, testing, maintenance, and developer collaboration. As we believe that deep learning may provide an opportunity to revolutionize the whole discipline of software engineering, providing one survey covering as many subareas as possible in software engineering can help future research push forward the frontier of deep learning-based software engineering more systematically. In order to find novel synthetic antitumor agents with superior cytotoxicity and overcoming multidrug resistance, a novel series of 4β-N-substituted podophyllotoxin derivatives were synthesized and evaluated as potential antitumor agents. Seven novel podophyllotoxin derivatives were synthesized by linking 4β-amino-4-deoxypodophyllotoxin with N-substituted 5-methylindol-3- yl-glyoxyl chlorides and tested against K562 and K562/A02 using SRB methods in vitro, KB and KBVusing MTT methods in vitro.

A nanocomposite photocatalyst composed of AlFeO3 and TiO2 is prepared, and charac-terized through X-ray diffraction. Application of the nanocomposite for the photodegradations of eosin dye and methyl orange gives an improved photoactivity compared with TiO2-only nanomaterials. The optimal concentration of AlFeO3 in the composite is about 1.0 wt% under UV excitation, and 9.0 wt% under sunlight excitation for the improved photoactivity. Furthermore, this nanocomposite is more active for eosin photodegradation if natural sunlight rather than UV is used. This may be due to the reason that adding AlFeO3 nanoparticles into TiO2 matrix can promote the separation of photogener-ated charge carriers, and extend the photoresponse of TiO2 toward visible region, which results in an increase in the solar energy utilization efficiency.

Conjugated aromatic azomethines containing a carbazole group were synthesized. Their structures have been confirmed by IR, MS and UV spectrometries. When iodine was used as the dope to the conjugated compounds, the electrical conductivities （EC） of the doped conjugated compounds were increased by several orders of magnitude. The thermal stability of these two compounds investigated by TGA shows a good result, which guarantees the correct result of EC when the compounds are heated. As can be seen from the CV characterization of the electrochemical properties of these two compounds, the azomethine diamine and p-aminophenyl-9-ethylcarbazolyl azomethine possess electrochemical activity, which arises from the heteroatom of molecules.
