Two allyldimethylalkyl quaternary ammonium salt(AQAS)monomers,N,N-dimethylallylphenylpropylammonium bromide(AQAS1)and N,N-dimethylallylnonylammonium bromide(AQAS2),were synthesized and used to prepare modified polyacrylamide *** new drag reducers were synthesized from acrylamide(AM),sodium acrylate(Na AA)and a cationic modified monomer(AQAS1 or AQAS2)via aqueous solution polymerization,and the copolymers were named P(AM/Na AA/AQAS1)and P(AM/Na AA/AQAS2),*** structures of the drag reduction agents were confirmed by IR and1H NMR *** molecular weight(Mw)of P(AM/Na AA/AQAS1)was 1.79×10^(6)g/*** the copolymer concentration was 1000 mg/L and the flow rate was 45 L/min,in fresh water the highest drag reduction rate was 75.8%,in 10,000 mg/L Na Cl solution the drag reduction rate decreased to 72.9%.The molecular weight of P(AM/Na AA/AQAS2)was 3.17×10^(6)g/*** the copolymer concentration was500 mg/L and the flow rate was 45 L/min,the drag reduction rate reached 75.2%,and in 10,000 mg/L Na Cl solution the drag reduction rate was 73.3%,decreased by approximately 1.9%.The drag reduction rate for partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM)was also investigated,and the results showed that the drag reduction rates for 500 and 1000 mg/L HPAM solutions were merely 43.2%and 49.0%in brine,*** with HPAM,both of the above copolymers presented better drag reduction capacities.

Variational Analysis Based on Proximal Subdifferential on Smooth Banach Spaces

This paper first shows that for any p∈(1,2)there exists a continuously differentiable function f on l^(p)(and L^(p))such that the proximal subdifferential of f is empty everywhere,and hence it is not suitable to develop theory on proximal subdifferential in the classical Banach spaces l^(P)and L^(P) with p∈(1,2).On the other hand,this paper establishes variational analysis based on the proximal subdifferential in the framework of smooth Banach spaces of power type 2,which conclude all Hilbert spaces and all the classical spaces l^(P)and L^(P)with p∈(2,+∞).In particular,in such a smooth space,we provide the proximal subdifferential rules for sum functions,product functions,composite functions and supremum functions,which extend the basic results on the proximal subdifferential established in the framework of Hilbert *** of our main results are new even in the Hilbert space *** applications,we provide KKT-like conditions for nonsmooth optimization problems in terms of proximal subdifferential.

The High-energy Fragment Separator(HFRS),which is currently under construction,is a leading international radioactive beam *** sets of position-sensitive twin time projection chamber(TPC)detectors are distributed on HFRS for particle identification and beam *** twin TPCs'readout electronics system operates in a trigger-less mode due to its high counting rate,leading to a challenge of handling large amounts of *** address this problem,we introduced an event-building *** algorithm employs a hierarchical processing strategy to compress data during transmission and *** addition,it reconstructs twin TPCs'events online and stores only the reconstructed particle information,which significantly reduces the burden on data transmission and storage *** studies demonstrated that the algorithm accurately matches twin TPCs'events and reduces more than 98%of the data volume at a counting rate of 500 kHz/channel.

Liquid metal biomaterials: translational medicines,challenges and perspectives

Until now, significant healthcare challenges and growing urgent clinical requirements remain incompletely addressed by presently available biomedical materials. This is due to their inadequate mechanical compatibility, suboptimal physical and chemical properties, susceptibility to immune rejection, and concerns about long-term biological safety. As an alternative, liquid metal(LM) opens up a promising class of biomaterials with unique advantages like biocompatibility, flexibility, excellent electrical conductivity,and ease of functionalization. However, despite the unique advantages and successful explorations of LM in biomedical fields, widespread clinical translations and applications of LM-based medical products remain limited. This article summarizes the current status and future prospects of LM biomaterials, interprets their applications in healthcare, medical imaging, bone repair, nerve interface, and tumor therapy, *** to translate LM materials into medicine and obstacles encountered in practices are *** that, we outline a blueprint for LM clinics, emphasizing their potential in making new-generation artificial organs. Last, the core challenges of LM biomaterials in clinical translation, including bio-safety,material stability, and ethical concerns are also discussed. Overall, the current progress, translational medicine bottlenecks, and perspectives of LM biomaterials signify their immense potential to drive future medical breakthroughs and thus open up novel avenues for upcoming clinical practices.

Atorvastatin, etanercept and the nephrogenic cardiac sympathetic remodeling in chronic renal failure rats

BACKGROUND Chronic renal failure(CRF) patients are predisposed to arrhythmias, while the detailed mechanisms are unclear. We hypothesized the chronic inflammatory state of CRF patients may lead to cardiac sympathetic remodeling, increasing the incidence of ventricular arrhythmia(VA) and sudden cardiac death. And explored the role of atorvastatin and etanercept in this *** A total of 48 rats were randomly divided into sham operation group(Sham group), CRF group, CRF + atorvastatin group(CRF + statin group), and CRF + etanercept group(CRF + rhTNFR-Fcgroup). Sympathetic nerve remodeling was assessed by immunofluorescence of growth-associated protein 43(GAP-43) and tyrosine hydroxylase positive area fraction. Electrophysiological testing was performed to assess the incidence of VA by assessing the ventricular effective refractory period and ventricular fibrillation threshold. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) and interleukin-1beta were determined by Western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** Echocardiogram showed that compared with the Sham group, left ventricular end-systolic diameter and ventricular weight/body weight ratio were significantly higher in the CRF group. Hematoxylin-eosin and Masson staining indicated that myocardial fibers were broken, disordered, and fibrotic in the CRF group. Western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,immunofluorescence and electrophysiological examination suggested that compared with the Sham group, GAP-43 and TNF-α proteins were significantly upregulated, GAP-43 and tyrosine hydroxylase positive nerve fiber area was increased, and ventricular fibrillation threshold was significantly decreased in the CRF group. Effects of hot deformation and in-situ ZrB2 particle on microstructure and tensile performance of AA7085 composite sheets

To provide a new idea to reduce anisotropy for sheets in the thickness direction by microstructure modification and,mean-while,maintain or even enhance tensile performance,the in-situ ZrB2 particle/AA7085 composite sheets with thicknesses of 1,2,3,and 6 mm were *** as-cast grain size was significantly refined by the heterogeneous nucleus of the ZrB2 *** microstructure results show that severe hot deformation converts as-cast disordered microstructure into a sequential microstructure by crushing the remanent phases and matrix into a fiber *** the solid solution and aging heat treatment,the composite sheets exhibit largely recrystallized grains compared with partially recrystallized grains in the matrix sheets,and weak or even free texture exists in the *** grain size in the composite sheets decreases with the increase in thickness *** the thickness range of 1-3 mm,the composite sheets maintain a similar tensile per-formance as that in matrix sheets,while the strength and ductility in the 6-mm-thick composite sheet are improved.
