Black carbon(BC)aerosol can lead to adverse health effects and drive climate change;therefore,the characteristic research and identification of BC sources are essential for lowering *** this study,equivalent black carbon(eBC)measurement was performed using a seven-wavelength Aethalometer(AE33)at an urban site in a typical industrial city(Zibo)of Northern China for the first *** monitoring was performed from February 2021 to January *** mass absorption cross-section(MAC)of AE33 was optimised using the online elemental carbon(EC)data,and eBC was corrected using the *** corrected annual BC concentration was 1.72±1.18μg/m^(3).The diurnal variation of BC depicted a bimodal ***,the BC concentration on weekends was 18%lower than on *** diurnal variation and weekend effect reflect the critical contributions of traffic emission to BC *** source apportionment of BC was calculated by a constraining Aethalometer model,which restricted theÅngstrom exponent using the online potassium *** results revealed that BC was not significantly affected by biomass burning(BC_(bb))in *** relative contribution of BC_(bb)was higher in winter than in other *** daily morning peak of BC was primarily influenced by traffic sources,whereas the contribution of biomass burning increased after 17:00 in the evening *** findings suggest that it is more important to control fossil fuel sources for BC emission reduction in Zibo,while it is necessary to strengthen the control of biomass combustion sources in winter.

Development of a nomogram for overall survival in patients with esophageal carcinoma:A prospective cohort study in China

BACKGROUND Esophageal carcinoma(EC)presents a significant public health issue in China,with its prognosis impacted by myriad *** creation of a reliable prog-nostic model for the overall survival(OS)of EC patients promises to greatly advance the customization of treatment *** To create a more systematic and practical model that incorporates clinically significant indicators to support decision-making in clinical *** This study utilized data from a prospective longitudinal cohort of 3127 EC patients treated at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital between January 1,2018,and December 12,*** the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression alongside multivariate Cox regression analyses helped pinpoint pertinent variables for constructing the *** efficacy was assessed by concordance index(C-index),area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),calibration curves,and decision curve analysis(DCA).RESULTS Nine variables were determined to be significant predictors of OS in EC patients:Body mass index(BMI),Karnofsky performance status,TNM stage,surgery,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,immunotherapy,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio,and albumin-to-globulin ratio(ALB/GLB).The model demonstrated a C-index of 0.715(95%CI:0.701-0.729)in the training cohort and 0.711(95%CI:0.689-0.732)in the validation *** the training cohort,AUCs for 1-year,3-year,and 5-year OS predictions were 0.773,0.787,and 0.750,respectively;in the validation cohort,they were 0.772,0.768,and 0.723,respectively,illustrating the model's *** curves and DCA verified the model's predictive accuracy and net *** A novel prognostic model for determining the OS of EC patients was successfully developed and validated to help clinicians in devising individualized treatment schemes for EC patients.

Multi boron-doping effects in hard carbon toward enhanced sodium ion storage

Hard carbon (HC) has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs).The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface (SEI) property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (FTIR/EIS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

Quantum instability and Ehrenfest time for an inverted harmonic oscillator

We use out-of-time order correlators(OTOCs)to investigate the quantum instability and Ehrenfest time for an inverted harmonic oscillator(IHO).For initial states located in the stable manifolds of the IHO we find that the corresponding OTOC exhibits identical evolutionary characteristics to the saddle point before the Ehrenfest *** initial states located in the unstable manifolds,the OTOCs still grow exponentially but the time to maintain exponential growth is related to the center position of its wave packet in phase ***,we use the Husimi Q function to visualize the quantum wave packets during exponential growth of the *** results show that quantum instability exists at arbitrary orbits in the IHO system,and the Ehrenfest time in the IHO system depends not only on the photon number of the initial system but also on the central positions of the initial states in phase space.

High temperature piezoelectric energy harvester(HTPEH)is an important solution to replace chemical battery to achieve independent power supply of HT wireless ***,simultaneously excellent performances,including high figure of merit(FOM),insulation resistivity(ρ)and depolarization temperature(Td)are indispensable but hard to achieve in lead-free piezoceramics,especially operating at 250°C has not been reported ***,well-balanced performances are achieved in BiFeO3–BaTiO3 ceramics via innovative defect engineering with respect to delicate manganese *** to the synergistic effect of enhancing electrostrictive coefficient by polarization configuration optimization,regulating iron ion oxidation state by high valence manganese ion and stabilizing domain orientation by defect dipole,comprehensive excellent electrical performances(Td=340°C,ρ250°C>10^(7)Ωcm and FOM_(250°C)=4905×10^(–15)m^(2)N^(−1))are realized at the solid solubility limit of manganese *** HT-PEHs assembled using the rationally designed piezoceramic can allow for fast charging of commercial electrolytic capacitor at 250°C with high energy conversion efficiency(η=11.43%).These characteristics demonstrate that defect engineering tailored BF-BT can satisfy high-end HT-PEHs requirements,paving a new way in developing selfpowered wireless sensors working in HT environments.

Efficacy of combined psychological and physical nursing in preventing peripherally inserted central catheter-related thrombosis in gastric cancer patients

BACKGROUND Long-term chemotherapy for patients with gastric cancer(GC),facilitated by peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)catheterization,reduces vascular damage and enhances drug delivery efficiency but carries risks of catheter-related complications.A combination of group psychological nursing and physical mo-vement care significantly mitigates the risk of venous thrombosis and improves psychological well-being,and enhances motor function,underscoring its clinical *** To assess group psychological and physical movement nursing in preventing venous thrombosis in patients with PICC *** Sixty-five GC patients with PICC,admitted from January 2022 to January 2023,were randomly divided into two groups using the lottery method:A control group(n=35,routine nursing)and an observation group(n=30,routine nursing plus psychological nursing and physical movement nursing).Both groups re-ceived continuous care for 2 ***-nursing and post-nursing data on psycho-logical state,physical function,chemotherapy-related thrombosis incidence,and cancer-related fatigue were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and GraphPad Prism *** After nursing,both groups showed reduced Hamilton Anxiety Scale scores and increased General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale scores,with the observation group performing better(P<0.05).The Functional Comprehensive Assessment score for the observation group after nursing was(65.42±2.35)points,lower than the control group’s(62.19±4.33)points(P<0.05).Although no significant difference was observed in the incidence of venous thrombosis between the two groups(χ2=0.815,P=0.367),the observation group had lower *** groups showed decreased Revised Piper Fatigue Scale scores,with the observation group scoring lower(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Group psychological and physical movement nursing for patients with PICC reduces venous thrombosis risk,improves psychological well-being,cancer-related fatigue,and physical function,making it highly prom
