In this study,a novel class of histidine Schiff base silver（Ⅰ） complexes derived from salicylaldehyde,1a-9a,was found to be an effective inhibitor of α-*** results of this study showed that the newly synthesized complexes inhibited α-glucosidase through noncompetitive mechanisms;the IC50values were ranging from 0.00431 μmol L ~1 to 0.492 μmol L ~*** structure-activity relationship was established as *** results demonstrated that compound 7a,5-nitro salicylaldehyde Schiff base silver complex,is the most promising α-glucosidase inhibitor with the lowest IC50 value,which could be exploited as a drug candidate to alleviate postprandial hyperglycemia in the treatment of type II diabetes *** research provided a catalyst-free,simple,and environmentally benign reaction to synthesize compounds using mechanochemistry.

Precursor decomposition was used for the preparation of VTeO/SBA-15 catalyst for the selective oxidation of propane to acrolein. The catalyst shows a better performance compared with those prepared by conventional impregnant method. A yield of 9.3% of acrolein was achieved with 2% V loadings at 500 ℃. XRD, N2-adsorption, H2-TPR, Py-IR and XPS measurements were used to unclose the relationship between the structure and performance of the catalyst.

AIM:To identify the risk factors for postoperative proliferative vitreoretinopathy(PVR)in patients with primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD)and develop a nomogram for predicting postoperative PVR-free ***:A total of 741 patients(741 eyes)diagnosed with primary RRD who underwent first surgery in the same hospital were retrospectively reviewed and randomly assigned with 521 to the training set and 220 to the validation *** and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed in the training cohort to determine risk factors to construct a nomogram for predicting the 3-,4-,5-,and 6-month postoperative PVR-free *** performance was estimated by the concordance index(C-index),calibration plot,and the area receiver operating characteristic(ROC)***:A nomogram was constructed based on the preoperative PVR,silicone oil tamponade time(SOTT),photocoagulation energy(PE),retinal tear size(RTS),and *** the training set,the C-index of the nomogram was 0.896,0.936,0.961,and 0.972 at 3,4,5,and 6mo,*** C-index values in the validation set were 0.860,0.936,0.951,and 0.965 at 3,4,5,and 6mo,***-curve analysis indicated that only the 4-,5-,and 6-month nomograms had significant net benefits over a large threshold probabilities ***:Preoperative PVR,SOTT,PE,RTS,and hypertension are significant risk factors for postoperative PVR formation in patients with primary *** proposed nomogram can effectively predict the 4-,5-,and 6-month PVR-free probabilities after surgery and assist in making clinical decisions during follow-up.

Purpose:To investigate the effect of proparacaine hydrochloride eye drops on emergence agitation after general anaesthesia for paediatric strabismus ***:Paediatric patients(3-12 years-old)receiving strabismus surgery were randomly assigned to receive 1-2 drops of isotonic saline(n=129)or proparacaine hydrochloride(n=129)after *** incidence and degree of emergence agitation were recorded and compared between ***:A significantly lower occurrence of emergence agitation was observed with proparacaine hydrochloride drops compared to isotonic saline(12.4% vs.31.8%;p<0.05).Conclusion:Proparacaine hydrochloride eye drops reduce the incidence of emergence agitation after general anaesthesia for paediatric strabismus surgery.

Carbon fibre,steel fibre and graphite were used as conductive fillers to prepare cementitious materials with excellent electrothermal *** electrically conductive cementitious materials with different volume dosages were analysed through compressive and flexural strength,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and temperature rise *** equivalent circuit model was established to study the electrically conductive heat generation mechanism in the electrically conductive cementitious *** results indicate that the mechanical properties of cementitious composite materials with a ternary conductive phase are better than those of pristine cementitious materials because the fibrous filler improves their mechanical ***,the incorporation of graphite in the material reduces its *** fibrous and point-like conductive phase materials into the cementitious material enhances the overall conductive pathway and considerably reduces the electrical resistance of the cementitious material,enhancing its conductive *** volume ratios of carbon fibre,steel fibre and graphite that achieve an optimal complex doping in the cementitious material were 0.35%,0.6%and 6%,*** was determined using the mutation point of each circuit element parameter as the percolation *** addition,at a certain safety voltage,there is a uniform change between the internal and surface temperatures of the conductive cementitious material,and the heating effect in this materialis is considerably better than that in the pristine cementitious material.

Studying molecular recognition in aqueous environments is crucial for understanding biological processes. Herein, we present a series of N-doped endo-functionalized anthracene-based cavities by introducing inward-directed pyridine units. The subtle modifications can significantly affect the binding properties of these receptors, which is similar to the mutations in biological systems. Combining theoretical calculations and molecular recognition experiments demonstrated that these “mutations” have an impact on the hydrophobicity and charge distribution of the hosts, consequently significantly influencing molecular *** is crucial for understanding the intricate mechanisms of molecular-level interactions in biological receptors.

Mixed matrix membranes(MMMs)have demonstrated significant promise in energy-intensive gas separations by amalgamating the unique properties of fillers with the facile processability of ***,achieving a simultaneous enhancement of permeability and selectivity remains a formidable challenge,due to the difficulty of achieving an optimal match between polymers and *** this study,we incorporate a porous carbon-based zinc oxide composite(C@ZnO)into high-permeability polymers of intrinsic microporosity(PIMs)to fabricate *** dipole–dipole interaction between C@ZnO and PIMs ensures their exceptional compatibility,mitigating the formation of non-selective voids in the resulting ***,C@ZnO with abundant interconnected pores can provide additional low-resistance pathways for gas transport in *** a result,the CO_(2) permeability of the optimized C@ZnO/PIM-1 MMMs is elevated to 13,215 barrer,while the CO_(2)/N_(2) and CO_(2)/CH4 selectivity reached 21.5 and 14.4,respectively,substantially surpassing the 2008 Robeson upper ***,molecular simulation results further corroborate that the augmented membrane gas selectivity is attributed to the superior CO_(2) affinity of C@*** summary,we believe that this work not only expands the application of MMMs for gas separation but also heralds a paradigm shift in the application of porous carbon materials.
