The wetting-drying(W-D)cycle is a type of water–rock *** pore structure of rock,such as shape,size,distribution and pore throat,affects fluid storage and *** theory and experimental research on the evolution characteristics of pore damage during the wet-dry erosion process are highly important for determining W-D *** mass and velocity of liquid migration are related to the pore size,porosity,fluid properties,*** data show that the water absorption quality and velocity in rocks decrease with the number of wet-dry *** the same test time,the mass and velocity of the SI water absorption method are smaller than those of the FI *** these two conditions,the amount and rate of water absorption represent the degree of water–rock *** the pore evolution during the wet-dry cycling,an equation describing the motion of liquid in porous media was derived based on the imbibition-type separation *** experimental data are in excellent agreement with the calculated values of the *** characteristics can affect the area and degree of rock deterioration as well as the development rate of pores and *** on the interaction between permeability and pores,quantitative analysis of the weakening process(local damage)of rocks under W-D cycles can provide good reference indicators for evaluating the stability of geotechnical engineering.

The fracture toughness of rocks is a critical fracturing parameter in geo-energy exploitation playing a significant role in fracture mechanics and hydraulic *** edge-notched disk bending(ENDB)specimens are employed to measure the entire range of mixed-modeⅠ/Ⅲfracture toughness of Longmaxi *** theoretically interpret the fracture mechanisms,this research first introduces the detailed derivations of three established fracture *** distinguishing the volumetric and distortional strain energy densities,an improved three-dimensional mean strain energy density(MSED)criterion is *** the critical volumetric to distortional MSED ratio decreases,the transition from tensiondominated fracture to shear-dominated fracture is *** results indicate that both peak load and applied energy increase significantly with the transition from pure mode I(i.e.,tension)to pure modeⅢ(i.e.,torsion or tearing)since mode-Ⅲcracking happens in a twisted manner and mode-Ⅰcracking occurs in a coplanar *** macroscopic fracture signatures are consistent with those of triaxial hydraulic *** average ratio of pure mode-Ⅲfracture toughness to pure mode-Ⅰfracture toughness is 0.68,indicating that the obtained mode-Ⅲfracture resistance for a tensionbased loading system is apparent rather than *** to the three mainstream fracture criteria,the present fracture criterion exhibits greater competitiveness and can successfully evaluate and predict mixed-modeⅠ/Ⅲfracture toughness of distinct materials and loading methods.

High-energy gas fracturing of shale is a novel,high efficacy and eco-friendly mining technique,which is a typical dynamic perturbing *** effectively extract shale gas,it is important to understand the dynamic mechanical properties of *** experiments on shale subjected to true triaxial compression at different strain rates are first conducted in this *** dynamic stress-strain curves,peak strain,peak stress and failure modes of shale are *** results of the study indicate that the intermediate principal stress and the minor principal stress have the significant influence on the dynamic mechanical behaviors,although this effect decreases as the strain rate *** characteristics of compression-shear failure primarily occur in shale subjected to triaxial compression at high strain rates,which distinguishes it from the fragmentation characteristics observed in shale under dynamic uniaxial ***,a numerical three-dimensional Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(3D-SHPB),which is established by coupling PFC3D and FLAC3D methods,is validated to replicate the laboratory characteristics of *** dynamic mechanical characteristics of shale subjected to different confining stresses are systematically investigated by the coupling PFC3D and FLAC3D *** numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental data.

BACKGROUND The incidence of patients with early-onset pancreatic cancer(EOPC;age≤50 years at diagnosis)is on the rise,placing a heavy burden on individuals,families,and *** role of combination therapy including surgery,radiotherapy,and chemotherapy in non-metastatic EOPC is not *** To investigate the treatment patterns and survival outcomes in patients with non-metastatic *** A total of 277 patients with non-metastatic EOPC who were treated at our institution between 2017 and 2021 were investigated *** survival(OS),disease-free survival,and progression-free survival were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier *** and multivariate analyses with the Cox proportional hazards model were used to identify prognostic *** With a median follow-up time of 34.6 months,the 1-year,2-year,and 3-year OS rates for the entire cohort were 84.3%,51.5%,and 27.6%,*** median OS of patients with localized disease who received surgery alone and adjuvant therapy(AT)were 21.2 months and 28.8 months,respectively(P=0.007).The median OS of patients with locally advanced disease who received radiotherapy-based combination therapy(RCT),surgery after neoadjuvant therapy(NAT),and chemotherapy were 28.5 months,25.6 months,and 14.0 months,respectively(P=0.002).The median OS after regional recurrence were 16.0 months,13.4 months,and 8.9 months in the RCT,chemotherapy,and supportive therapy groups,respectively(P=0.035).Multivariate analysis demonstrated that carbohydrate antigen 19-9 level,pathological grade,T-stage,N-stage,and resection were independent prognostic factors for non-metastatic *** AT improves postoperative survival in localized *** after NAT and RCT are the preferred therapeutic options for patients with locally advanced EOPC.

One key strategy to enhance photocatalytic performance is to improve the transfer and separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers by building optimized ***,novel bi_(4)O_5Br_(2)/NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)Z-scheme heterojunctions are fabricated and used as photocatalysts for organic pollutant *** NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)nanosheets are exfoliated via a self-developed alkali solution stripping approach and then uniformly decorated on bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2).The as-prepared bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)/NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)presents more than 90%degradation of various pollutants,outperforming the counterpart individual *** various characterization results suggest that the enhanced degradation rate is due to the more intimate face-to-face interfacial contact of the lamellar Z-scheme heterojunction materials,in which the migration path of carriers from the material's interior to the surface can be reduced,in turn enhancing migration efficiency and separation capability significantly.A possible photocatalytic reaction mechanism is proposed based on the photoelectric behaviors,radical trapping experiments and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry *** work promotes the development of new photocatalytic materials for heterojunctions with face-to-face interfacial contacts,as well as the effective purification of wastewater in environmental remediation.

Advances in regional nodal management of early-stage breast cancer

With the continuous improvement of systemic treatment, reasonable local regional control of early-stage breast cancer can be translated into survival benefits. The optimization of regional nodal management in patients with limited sentinel lymph node(SLN) metastasis needs to be weighed by surgical complications, regional recurrence risk, and lymph node status, as well as other escalating treatment(systemic/radiotherapy) that may result from deescalating surgery. With the effective support and supplementation of systemic therapy and radiotherapy, the management of axillary surgery is developing in a de-escalating trend. The widespread application of neoadjuvant therapy has contributed to optimizing the management of patients with clinically node-negative/imaging nodepositive disease. In clinical practice, it is necessary to consider the residual tumor burden of regional lymph nodes when formulating the optimal irradiation fields in patients with limited positive SLN without axillary lymph node dissection. The combined application of genomic tests and American College of Surgeons Oncology Group Z0011/AMAROS criteria could provide patients with a better strategy of dual de-escalation treatment, which includes the de-escalation of both axillary surgery and systemic treatment. In the era of sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB), the regional nodal management of breast cancer should adhere to the concept of “updating ideas, making bold assumptions, and carefully seeking proof”, make full use of the benefits of systemic therapy and radiotherapy to reduce the scope of surgery and complications, and expand the “net benefit” of efficacy and quality of life. This review discusses the optimization of regional nodal management in the era of SLNB, in order to provide reference information for clinicians.

Self-powered full-spectrum photodetectors(PDs)offer numerous advantages,such as broad application fields,high precision,efficiency,and multi-functionality,which represent a highly promising and potentially valuable class of detectors for future ***,insensitive response to solar-blind ultraviolet(UV)and complex and expensive preparation processes greatly limit their performance and practical *** this study,a self-powered full-spectrum bi_(2)Se_(3)/a-Ga_(2)O_(3)/p-Si heterojunction PD with high sensitivity for solar-blind UV band prepared by a simple and low-cost two-step synthesis method is *** results reveal that the developed PD has an excellent performance,such as high sensitivity from 200 to 850 nm,and a responsivity of 1.38 mA/W as well as a detectivity of 3.22×10^(10) Jones under 254 nm light at zero ***,the unencapsulated device displays exceptional stability and imaging *** is expected that bi_(2)Se_(3)/a-Ga_(2)O_(3)/p-Si heterojunction PD with a simple and low-cost synthesis method has great potential for self-powered full-spectrum photodetectors.
