Preparation of 2D square-like Bi2S3-BiOCl heterostructures with enhanced visible light-driven photocatalytic performance for dye pollutant degradation

A series of Bi2 S3-BiOCI composites with two-dimensional(2 D) square-like structures were prepared via a two-step anion exchange route.X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), and diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS)were used to investigate the properties of the as-prepared Bi_2 S_3-BiOCI heterostructures. The coupling of BiOCl and Bi_2 S_3 induced enhanced photoabsorption efficiency and bandgap narrowing. A reactive brilliant red X-3 B dye was used as a contaminant to test the photocatalytic activity of the obtained Bi_2 S_3-BiOCl samples under visible light irradiation. The sample Bi_2 S_3-BiOCl with a mass ratio of 8:4 exhibited the highest photodegradation efficiency, which was six times higher than that of pure BiOCl. In addition, a mechanism for the enhancement of photocatalytic activity is proposed.

The improvement of mechanical properties of ZK60 processed by asymmetric reduction rolling （ARR） was investigated in this paper. The grain refinement and basal texture intensity decrease were attributed to the introduction of shear stress produced by ARR process. Compared to conventional symmetrical rolled （SR） ZK60 alloys, ARRed ZK60 exhibited finer, more homogeneous grains and higher mechanical properties. The intensity of basal texture of ARRed ZK60 after annealing was lower than that of SRed ZK60 after annealing. ZK60 sheet with good combination of strength and ductility could be obtained by ARR process. The yield strength （YS） and ultimate tensile strength （UTS） of the ARRed ZK60 sheet were increased 150% and 91.3%, compared to those of SRed ZK60 sheet, from 80 to 200 MPa and from 140 to 264 MPa, respectively. Simultaneously, the elongation to failure increased by 68.75% in the ARR sheet （27%） when compared to that of the SR sheet （16%）.

Transplutonium isotopes are scarce and need to be produced by irradiation in high flux ***,their production is inefficient,and optimization studies are *** study analyzes the physical nature of transplutonium isotope produc-tion using ^(252)Cf,^(244)Cm,^(242)Cm,and ^(238)Pu as *** methods based on the Monte Carlo burnup calculation have the limitations of many calculations and cannot analyze the individual energy intervals in detail;thus,they cannot sup-port the refined evaluation,screening,and optimization of the irradiation *** understanding the physical nature and simplifying the complexity of the production process,we propose a rapid diagnostic method for evaluating radiation schemes based on the concepts“single energy interval value(SEIV)”and“energy spectrum total value(ESTV)”.The rapid diagnostic method not only avoids tedious burnup calculations,but also provides a direction for *** optimal irradiation schemes for producing ^(252)Cf,^(244)Cm,^(242)Cm,and ^(238)Pu are determined based on a rapid diagnostic *** irradiation schemes can significantly improve production *** with the initial scheme,the optimal scheme improved the production efficiency of ^(238)Pu by 7.41 times;^(242)Cm,11.98 times;^(244)Cm,65.20 times;and ^(252)Cf,15.08 ***,a refined analysis of transplutonium isotope production is conducted and provides a theoretical basis for improving production efficiency.

Nickel hydroxide is widely used as cathode materials in nickel-metal secondary *** this work,Mn-substituted nickel hydroxide samples with a special α/βmixed phase structure were synthesized by chemical co-precipitation *** physical properties were char-acterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM).The results show that the structure of the samples and the amount of intercalated anions and water molecules are highly related to the content of the Mn *** electrochemical performances were characterized by charge/discharge tests and electrochemi-cal cycle *** results demonstrate that the Mn-sub-stituted samples with a α/β mixed phase structure perform a much higher discharge capacity than normal β-nickel *** specific discharge capacity reaches 330 mAh·g^(-1) after 50 cycles of charge/discharge in charging rate of 0.2C under ambient ***-while,the samples show no capacity loss in electrochem-ical cycles,which indicates that the mixed phase nickel hydroxide maintains high structure stability.

Gravity wave activity and dissipation in the height range from the low stratosphere to the low thermosphere(25–115 km)covering latitudes between 50°S and 50°N are statistically studied by using 9-year(January 22,2002–December 31,2010)SABER/TIMED temperature *** propose a method to extract realistic gravity wave fluctuations from the temperature profiles and treat square temperature fluctuations as GW ***,the gravity wave activity generally increases with *** the equator(0°–10°),the gravity wave activity shows a quasi-biennial variation in the stratosphere(below 40 km)while from 20°to 30°,it exhibits an annual variation below 40 km;in low latitudes(0°–30°)between the upper stratosphere and the low thermosphere(40–115 km),the gravity wave activity shows a semi-annual *** middle latitudes(40°–50°),the gravity wave activity has a clear annual variation below 85 *** addition,we observe a four-monthly variation with peaks occurring usually in April,August,December in the northern hemisphere and in February,June,October in the southern hemisphere,respectively,above 85 km in middle latitudes,which has been seldom reported in gravity wave *** order to study the dissipation of gravity wave propagation,we calculate the gravity wave dissipation ratio,which is defined as the ratio of the gravity wave growth scale height to the atmosphere density scale *** height variation of the dissipation ratio indicates that strong gravity wave dissipation mainly concentrates in the three height regions:the stratosphere(30–60 km),the mesopause(around 85 km)and the low thermosphere(above 100 km).Besides,gravity wave energy enhancement can be also observed in the background atmosphere.

The Wutai greenstone belt in central North China Craton(NCC) hosts a number of Precambrian gold deposits and ore occurrences. Based on the host rock association, these can be divided into Banded Iron Formation(BIF), meta-volcano-sedimentary and meta-conglomerate types. The two former types formed during ~2.5-2.3 Ga and the third one at ~1.85 Ga. The characteristics of these Precambrian gold deposits are broadly similar with those of the orogenic gold deposits. Based on available geochronological data, here we reconstruct the major tectonic events and their relationship with gold mineralization in the Wutai-Hengshan-Fuping region during Neoarchean to Paleoproterozoic as follows.(1)~2.6-2.5 Ga: widespread intrusion of tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite(TTG) magmas in the Hengshan terrane and Fuping continental arc, formation of the Wutai volcanic arc in the southern margin of Hengshan terrane with granitoids emplacement, and the Hengshan-Wutai intra-oceanic arc accretion to the Fuping arc at the end of Neoarchean.(2) ~ 2.5-2.3 Ga: the subduction of Hengshan arc from north leading to persistent magmatism and orogenic gold mineralization.(3)~2.2-2.1 Ga:extension leading to the formation of graben structure in the Wutai and Fuping region, deposition of the Hutuo and Wanzi Group sediments, formation of placer gold through erosion of the orogenic gold deposits.(4)~2.2-2.0 Ga: widespread magmatism in the Wutai-Hengshan-Fuping region.(5)~1.95-1.8 Ga: regional metamorphism associated with collision of the Western and Eastern Blocks of the NCC and associated orogenic gold deposits. The multiple subduction-accretion-collision history and subsequent deep erosion has significantly affected most of the Precambrian gold deposits in the Wutai greenstone belt.

The exotic species Spartina alterniflora(***)seriously threatens the stability and functioning of saltmarsh ecosystems in the Yangtze *** efforts have been undertaken to control this species,but subsequent re-invasion is frequent,presenting a significant barrier to *** complexity and high cost of integrated physical control programs has necessitated a shift in focus,leading to considerable attention being paid to the potential of herbicides to control *** find a strategy for emergency control of small and scattered patches of re-invading ***,an in situ field experiment using Gallant(Haloxyfop-R-methyl)herbicide was *** growth parameters of plant density and height were used to evaluate the control efficiency of different treatment dosages and times and sediment samples were taken for environmental toxicity *** results show the following:(1)the control efficacy of the maximum proposed application dose(2.70 g/m2)was 92%for continuous swards and 100%for small patches,while those of other dosages(0.45 g/m2,0.90 g/m2,and 1.35 g/m2)were lower than 40%;(2)the appropriate implementation time was July to August with 100%mortality resulting from a single application,while *** was shown to be capable of recovering rapidly after treatment in May;and(3)there were no significant differences in the community structure of meiofauna among the herbicide treatments and the control,and no herbicide residues were detected in sediment samples collected from treatment *** chemical control method was implemented in the Shanghai Chongming Dongtan National Bird Nature Reserve(CDNR).The results of this study indicate that Gallant is an environmentally friendly herbicide with high efficiency,which can be adopted for emergency control of re-invading ***.

The main purpose of this paper is to prove the well-posedness of the two-dimensional Boussinesq equations when the initial vorticity wo C L^1 （R^2）（or the finite Radon measure space）. Using the stream function form of the equations and the Schauder fixed-point theorem to get the new proof of these results, we get that when the initial vorticity is smooth, there exists a unique classical solutions for the Cauchy problem of the two dimensional Boussinesq equations.

Oilseed rape is one of the most important oil crops *** the appropriate cultivation method(planting pattern and nitrogen level)is necessary to achieve high yield,quality and resource utilization ***,the optimal method for oilseed rape varies across countries and *** objective of the present study was to determine an appropriate cultivation method,including planting pattern and nitrogen application,for winter oilseed rape in northwestern *** planting patterns:ridge film mulching and furrow planting(RFMF)and flat planting(FP),and six nitrogen(N)amounts:0(N0),60(N60),120(N120),180(N180),240(N240),and 300(N300)kg N ha–1 were applied across three growing seasons(2014–2017).Three comprehensive decision analysis methods:principal component analysis,grey correlation degree analysis and the combined entropy weight and dynamic technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution method were used to evaluate the growth and physiological indicators,nutrient uptake,yield,quality,evapotranspiration,and water use efficiency of winter oilseed *** pattern,nitrogen amount and their interaction significantly affected the indicators *** RFMF pattern significantly increased all indicators over the FP *** of N also markedly increased all the indicators except for seed oil content,but the yield,oil production and water use efficiency were decreased when N fertilizer exceeded 180 kg N ha–1 under FP and 240 kg N ha–1 under *** evaluation results of the three comprehensive decision analysis methods indicated that RFMF planting pattern with 240 kg N ha–1 is an appropriate cultivation method for winter oilseed rape in northwestern *** findings are of vital significance to maximize yield,optimize quality and improve resource use efficiencies of winter oilseed rape.
