Rheological Behaviors of Polymers with Nanoparticles Tethered at Each End

The polymer with nanoparticles tethered at each end is a unique model for unraveling the effect of chain ends on the polymer dynamics. We investigated the rheological behavior of this kind of polymer by using nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulation. The effect of polymer lengths and nanoparticle radii on the complex moduli and viscosity was examined. The dependence of complex moduli on the frequency becomes less pronounced as the polymer is short or the nanoparticle is large. The shear thinning behavior was revealed for these systems, and the scaling exponent of complex viscosity with respect to the frequency was found to change from-1/2 to-3/4 as the polymer shortens or the nanoparticle enlarges. The rheological behavior was further explained by analyzing the mean square distance of nanoparticles. The simulation results were compared with the existing experimental finding, showing an agreement. The work provides information for understanding the chain end effect on polymer rheology.

We explore the possibility that domain wall networks generate the stochastic gravitational wave background（SGWB） observed as a strong common power-law process in the Data Release-2 of Parkes Pulsar Timing Array. We find that a broad range of parameters, specifically wall tension around σDW～（29-414 TeV）3and wall-decay temperature within Td～ 20-257 MeV, can explain this phenomenon at a 68% credible level. Meanwhile, the same parameters could ease the Hubble tension if particles from these domain wall networks decay into dark radiation. We establish a direct analytical relationship, ?GW（fp, T0）h2～ ?radh2(?ν?Neff)2,to illustrate this coincidence, underlining its importance in the underlying physics and potential applicability to a wider range of models and data. Conversely, if the common power-law process is not attributed to domain wall networks, our findings impose tight limits on the wall tension and decay temperature.

Multi-Agent Path Planning Method Based on Improved Deep Q-Network in Dynamic Environments

The multi-agent path planning problem presents significant challenges in dynamic environments,primarily due to the ever-changing positions of obstacles and the complex interactions between agents’*** factors contribute to a tendency for the solution to converge slowly,and in some cases,diverge *** addressing this issue,this paper introduces a novel approach utilizing a double dueling deep Q-network(D3QN),tailored for dynamic multi-agent environments.A novel reward function based on multi-agent positional constraints is designed,and a training strategy based on incremental learning is performed to achieve collaborative path planning of multiple ***,the greedy and Boltzmann probability selection policy is introduced for action selection and avoiding convergence to local *** match radar and image sensors,a convolutional neural network-long short-term memory(CNN-LSTM)architecture is constructed to extract the feature of multi-source measurement as the input of the *** algorithm’s efficacy and reliability are validated in a simulated environment,utilizing robot operating system and *** simulation results show that the proposed algorithm provides a real-time solution for path planning tasks in dynamic *** terms of the average success rate and accuracy,the proposed method is superior to other deep learning algorithms,and the convergence speed is also improved.

BACKGROUND Ultrasound guide technology,which can provide real-time visualization of the needle tip and tissues and avoid many adverse events,is widely used in mini-mally invasive ***,the studies on ultrasound-guided Lateral recess block(LRB)are limited,this is probably because there is no recognized standard method for ultrasound *** study aimed to evaluate the effect of ultrasound-guided LRB in patients with lateral recess stenosis(LRS).CASE SUMMARY A 65-year-old patient complained of low back pain accompanied occasionally by pain and numbness in the left lower *** examination showed ten-derness on the spinous process and paraspinal muscles from L1 to S1,extensor hallucis longus and tibialis anterior weakness(muscle strength:4-),and a positive straight leg raising test in the left lower limb(60°).Magnetic resonance imaging showed L4–L5 disc degeneration with left LRS and nerve root ***,the patient was diagnosed with *** patient was treated with a novel ultrasound-guided LRB *** patient’s symptoms significantly improved without any complications at 1 wk postoperatively and at the 3-month *** This is the first report on the LRS treatment with ultrasound-guided LRB from the contralateral spinous process along the inner side of the articular process by out-plane *** studies are expected to investigate the efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided LRB for patients with LRS.

Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)are promising substitutes for current flammable liquid electrolytes to achieve high-safety and high-energy-density lithium metal *** oxide(PEO)based solid polymer electrolytes have attracted increasing attention because of their excellent flexibility,manufacturability,light weight,and low-cost processing,while they often suffer from low ionic con-ductivity at room temperature,low lithium transference number and unsatisfactory interfacial resis-tance,which largely restrain their practical ***,two-dimensional holey silica nanosheets(2D-HSN)as the fillers,together with liNO_(3) as the electrolyte additive,are introduced in a PEO/poly(-vinylidene fiuoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(PVDF-HFP)blended polymer matrix to obtain a *** incorporation of HSN filler creates supplementary channels for lithium ion migration and lowers the crystallinity of the polymer,thereby facilitating the movement of lithium *** HSN-based SPE demonstrates higher ionic conductivity up to 3.7 x 10-4 S cm-1 at 30℃,larger li+transference number close to 0.34,and more stable lithium plating/stripping than that without the fillers,and HSN can promote the formation of more stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)*** as-assembled liFePO4||li batteries deliver a high specific capacity of 159 mA h g-1 with the capacity retention of 95.5%after 200 cycles at 30℃,as well as superior rate performance and cycling stability compared to that using the blank SPE.

Objective: Placental dysfunction is a major contributor to miscarriages in humans. We observed elevated expression of Kruppel-like factor 12 (KLF12) in placental villi of women who experienced miscarriage compared to that in women with healthy pregnancies. This study aimed to elucidate the role of KLF12 in maintaining a successful pregnancy. Methods: To investigate the role of KLF12 in placentation, we employed a model of forskolin-induced syncytialization in BeWo cells. Results: Our findings revealed that KLF12 expression is downregulated during normal syncytialization. Conversely, we observed that abnormally high KLF12 levels directly suppressed glial cells missing-1 (GCM1) expression. This suppression of GCM1 expression subsequently impaired BeWo cell syncytialization. Furthermore, we observed placental deformities in KLF12-overexpressing mouse fetuses. Conclusion(s): This study demonstrated that elevated levels of KLF12 disrupt trophoblast syncytialization by downregulating GCM1 expression. These findings suggest that KLF12 may be a novel candidate gene contributing to unexplained miscarriages.

Temporal assembly patterns of microbial communities in three parallel bioreactors treating low-concentration coking wastewater with differing carbon source concentrations

Carbon source is an important factor of biological treatment systems, the effects of which on their temporal community assembly patterns are not sufficiently understood *** this study, the temporal dynamics and driving mechanisms of the communities in three parallel bioreactors for low-concentration coking wastewater(CWW) treatment with differing carbon source concentrations(S0 with no glucose addition, S1 with 200 mg/L glucose addition and S2 with 400 mg/L glucose addition) were comprehensively studied. Highthroughput sequencing and bioinformatics analyses including network analysis and Infer Community Assembly Mechanisms by Phylogenetic bin-based null model(iCAMP) were used. The communities of three systems showed turnover rates of 0.0029~0.0034 every 15days. Network analysis results showed that the S0 network showed higher positive correlation proportion(71.43%) and clustering coefficient(0.33), suggesting that carbon source shortage in S0 promoted interactions and cooperation of microbes. The neutral community model analysis showed that the immigration rate increased from 0.5247 in S0 to 0.6478in S2. The iCAMP analysis results showed that drift(45.89%) and homogeneous selection(31.68%) dominated in driving the assembly of all the investigated microbial *** contribution of homogeneous selection increased with the increase of carbon source concentrations, from 27.92% in S0 to 36.08% in S2. The OTUs participating in aerobic respiration and tricarboxylic acid(TCA) cycle were abundant among the bins mainly affected by deterministic processes, while those related to the metabolism of refractory organic pollutants in CWW such as alkanes, benzenes and phenols were abundant in the bins dominated by stochastic processes.
