The traditional automotive catalytic converter using commercial ceramic honeycomb carriers has many problems such as high back pressure,low engine efficiency,and high usage of precious *** study proposes a four-channel catalytic micro-reactor based on alumina hollow fiber membrane,which uses phase inversion method for structural molding and *** to the advantages of its carrier,it can achieve lower ignition temperature under low noble metal *** Pd/CeO_(2) at a loading rate of 2.3%(mass),the result showed that the reaction ignition temperature is even less than 160℃,which is more than 90℃ lower than the data of commercial ceramic substrates under similar catalyst loading and airspeed *** technology in turn significantly reduces the energy consumption of the *** stability tests were conducted under constant conditions for 1000 h,which proved that this catalytic converter has high catalytic efficiency and stability,providing prospects for the design of innovative catalytic converters in the future.

Detection and repair of composite damage is crucial to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft structures.A novel approach to quantitatively evaluate the repair tolerance of composite structures in civil aircraft based on Bayesian updating is *** method incorporates historical damage inspection data to determine the prior distribution of damage size,which is then updated with newly collected damage size data using Bayesian *** Carlo simulation is employed to investigate the probability of failure and estimate maintenance costs,considering various factors such as the frequency and timing of damage events,damage detection,structural strength,gust loads,and maintenance expenses throughout the lifecycle of composite *** and economic factors are considered to establish a lower threshold for repairs and an upper threshold for maintenance based on the occurrence of accidental impact *** of the effectiveness and feasibility of a quantitative assessment method for repair tolerance is conducted using damage statistics data from civil aircraft routes utilizing the structural skin panels of composite outer *** results demonstrate that the method proposed in conjunction with extensive simulations and full utilization of field damage inspection data can effectively simulate unexpected impact damage situations that may occur during civil aircraft service and evaluate the reliability and economic feasibility of the repair of *** research findings hold significant theoretical and practical value for the preparation of documents for continued airworthiness of composite structures,including structural repair manuals and maintenance programs.

An in-house code,CONTHAC-3D,was developed to calculate and analyze thermal-hydraulic phenomena in containments during severe ***-3D is a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics code that can be applied to predict gas flow,diffusion,and steam condensation in a containment during a severe hypothetical accident,as well as to obtain an estimate of the local hydrogen concentration in various zones of the ***-3D was developed using multiple models to simulate the features of the proprietary systems and equipment of HPR1000 and ACP100,such as the passive cooling system,passive autocatalytic recombiners and the passive air cooling *** validate CONTHAC-3D,a GX6 test was performed at the Battelle Model Containment *** hydrogen concentration and temperature monitored by the GX6 test are accurately predicted by ***,the hydrogen distribution in the HPR1000 containment during a severe accident was *** results show that the hydrogen removal rates calculated using CONTHAC-3D for different types of PARs agree well with the theoretical values,with an error of less than 1%.As the accident progresses,the hydrogen concentration in the lower compartment becomes higher than that in the large space,which implies that the lower compartment has a higher hydrogen risk than the dome and large space at a later stage of the *** amount of hydrogen removed by the PARs placed on the floor of the compartment is small;therefore,raising the installation height of these recombiners appropriately is ***,we do not recommend installing all autocatalytic recombiners at high *** study findings in regard to the hydrogen distribution in the HPR1000 containment indicate that CONTHAC-3D can be applied to the study of hydrogen risk containment.

Efficient continuous synthesis of 2-hydroxycarbazole and 4-hydroxycarbazole in a millimeter scale photoreactor

2-Hydroxycarbazole and 4-hydroxycarbazole are important chemicals with extensive applications in optoelectronic materials and pharmaceutical *** of the art yield of 2-hydroxycarbazole is~30%and the reaction time is typically in hours or ***,we developed a green route for the continuous and high-throughput synthesis of 2-hydroxycarbazole and 4-hydroxycarbazole via photochemical intramolecular cyclization of 3–hydroxy-2–chloro-diphenylamine using a self-designed millimeter scale photoreactor,which was designed based on sizing-up and numbering-up strategies for a decent liquid holdup(6.8 m L)and fabricated via femtosecond laser engraving *** photochemical synthesis was carried out continuously under the illumination of 365 nm UV-LED with dimethyl sulfoxide as solvent and potassium t-butoxide as *** was found that under optimized conditions a 2-hydroxycarbazole yield of 31.6%and a 4-hydroxycarbazole yield of 11.1%were obtained with a residence time of 1 *** to semibatch operations,the reaction time was shortened by 1–2 orders of *** a result,a throughput of 11.3 g/day 2-hydroxycarbazole and 4.0 g/day 4-hydroxycarbazole can be achieved from the *** was proposed that the short reaction time and high product yield are resulted from higher photon transfer rates and more uniform photon distribution provided by the millimeter scale photoreactor,which enhances the reaction rates and mitigates overreaction.

Aging has a profound impact on the gingiva and significantly increases its susceptibility to periodontitis,a worldwide prevalent inflammatory ***,a systematic characterization and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory mechanism underlying gingival aging is still ***,we systematically dissected the phenotypic characteristics of gingiva during aging in primates and constructed the first single-nucleus transcriptomic landscape of gingival aging,by which a panel of cell type-specific signatures were *** cells were identified as the most affected cell types by aging in the *** analyses pinpointed the crucial role of YAP in epithelial self-renew and homeostasis,which declined during aging in epithelial cells,especially in basal *** decline of YAP activity during aging was confrmed in the human gingival tissues,and downregulation of YAP in human primary gingival keratinocytes recapitulated the major phenotypic defects observed in the aged primate gingiva while overexpression of YAP showed rejuvenation *** work provides an in-depth understanding of gingival aging and serves as a rich resource for developing novel strategies to combat aging-associated gingival diseases,with the ultimate goal of advancing periodontal health and promoting healthy aging.

The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River,a primary region for freshwater lakes in China,have undergone significant transformations throughout the *** changes,driven by factors such as sea-level rise,climate change,and human activities,have led to the progressive elevation of water levels in this *** a result,a floodplain has emerged,characterized by the formation of numerous shallow lakes along the river ***,the pattern of water-level changes in the main channel of the Yangtze River during the Holocene remains *** gap in knowledge poses challenges for understanding sediment transport dynamics,the interactions between the river and its adjacent lakes,and the prevention and control of flood disasters in the Yangtze River *** shed light on these issues,our study compiled data on the surface elevation and water depth of 81 lakes in the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze River ***,we analyzed historical water-level records from the 1900s to the 1970s at eight gauging stations from Shashi to Jiangyin along the river’s main *** findings reveal that,particularly along the jingjiang section,the basal elevation of most lakes is lower than the Yangtze River’s water level during the dry ***,the water level of the main stream exceeds that of both the floodplain and the lakes enclosed by the jingjiang *** the tidal reach,especially within the Taihu Lake basin,the basal elevation of lakes typically falls below sea ***,lakes located along the section from Chenglingji to Wuhu exhibit basal elevations that correspond with the Yangtze River’s annual average and dry season water *** the widespread presence of lakes along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River,our study introduces a new proxy for reconstructing the mean water level of the mid-lower Yangtze River in the *** analyzing sediments from Nanyi Lake and Chenyao Lake in the lower Yangtze River,we a
