Changing Content of Translators＇ Prefaces： With Special Reference to China Yilin Press＇s Translated Publications

The current study aims at identifying the content configuration of translators＇ prefaces with special reference to China Yilin Press＇s English-Chinese （E-C） translated publications of American authors and finding the evolving tendency of the content of the translators＇ prefaces. One hundred and eight translators＇ prefaces are selected from the E-C translations published by the Press from 1988 to 2013 and classified on the basis of Genette＇s （1997） classification scheme. The Microsoft Excel as well as a human coder is used to analyze the evolving tendency and content of the translators＇ prefaces. Results indicate that translators＇ prefaces fall into 11 kinds in terms of their content, with the occurrence of three of them--genesis, the translator＇s conclusion and introduction to the translator ---on the increase, whereas that of eight of them--introduction to the author, introduction to the original, genre indication, the translator＇s opinion or analysis, statements of intent, contextual information, commentary on the title and introduction to the translated version--on the decline. It can be concluded that translators＇ prefaces play important roles in that they provide more information concerning the original and the author, such as plots, characters in the story and narrative techniques, but also give explanations for translators＇ motivation of translation, translation strategies adopted. Focus of the content of translators＇ prefaces has shifted from the original and the authors to the translators and translation process that reflect translator＇s subjectivity. This study underlines that due attention should be paid to the evolving tendency of their content configuration in recent years so as to ensure the social status of translators, and circulation and acceptance of the translated publications.

有机发光材料在过去几十年中受到了广泛的关注和研究,其高效的荧光量子产率、柔性好、易掺杂和修饰等优点使之在有机发光二极管(OLED)、激光器、光传感器等方面都得到了广泛应用.在固态形式下,大多数的有机发光材料分子之间存在较强的π-π作用,这导致了材料发光效率的降低,即“聚集导致猝灭”现象(aggregation caused quenching,ACQ).ACQ效应极大地限制了有机发光材料的实际应用范围.聚集诱导发光(aggregation-induced emission,AIE)材料很好地克服了以上问题,通过对非辐射复合过程的抑制实现了材料在固态下的高效发光,为固态发光器件的发展注入了新的活力[1].

To the Editor： Arteriovenous malformations （AVM）, also referred to as cirsoid aneurysm, arteriovenous aneurysm, arteriovenous fistula, and cavernous hemangioma, can occur in any organ in the body. Uterine AVM is a rare entity that is classified as either congenital or acquired. Congenital uterine AVM is thought to develop from a defect during embryologic differentiation leading to abnormal vascular connections, whereas acquired uterine AVM has been reported to occur due to a previous uterine trauma, such as curettage or cesarean delivery, or to be associated with neoplastic disorders, including gestational trophoblastic disease （GTD） and endometrial adenocarcinoma.

The emergence of fluorescent probes has enabled researchers to find and observe invisible matter from the investigated object without light emitting. For example, green fluorescent protein (GFP), an invention that received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2008, works as a visible fluorescent reporter to monitor the localization and movement of protein-GFP chimeras, protein-protein interactions, gene expression, and many other biological events in living cells in real time. GFP and its analogs have innovated research techniques and features in biological and life sciences.

Clusteroluminogens(CLgens),nonconjugated structures with visible luminescence at the clustering state,have recently received remarkable attention due to their great theoretical significance and practical *** carbonyl-based aliphatic polymers,(n,π*)transition of carbonyl groups and the through-space interactions have been demonstrated to play an important role in their clusteroluminescence(CL)properties,but it is still a big challenge to manipulate their CL at the molecular *** this work,six nonconjugated carbonyl-based polymers with different heteroatoms and steric hindrances were synthesized,and their photophysical properties were systematically *** polymers all showed CL but with different emission efficiency and *** and theoretical studies indicated that the CL properties could be manipulated by changing the electronic structures of carbonyl groups and the rigidity of polymer *** work not only gains further insights into the CL mechanism but also provides reliable strategies to design and manipulate non-conjugated luminescent materials.

Manometric Comparison of Anorectal Function after Posterior Vaginal Compartment Repair with and without Mesh

Background：Although repair augmented with mesh has been proved its priority in anatomical and functional recovery after anterior compartment reconstruction,the data about posterior compartment are *** aim of this study was to compare bowel functional outcome of posterior vaginal compartment repair with and without mesh in patients with pelvic organ prolapse （POP）.Methods：This was a prospective,double-blind,clinical pilot study of 22 postmenopausal women with symptomatic POP （overall POP-quantification [POP-Q] Stage Ⅲ-ⅣV） who underwent total pelvic floor *** were grouped according to the use of mesh for posterior vaginal compartment repair：A mesh group and a nonmesh ***-Q stage,the pelvic floor impact questionnaire short form-7 （PFIQ-7） and anorectal manometry were evaluated before and 3 months after *** success was defined as POP-Q Stage Ⅱ or less.A t-test was used to compare preoperative with postoperative data in the two ***：Totally,17 （71％） were available for the ***-Q measurements improved significantly compared to baseline （P ＜ 0.05） in both *** recurrence was *** in both groups reported improvement in pelvic floor symptoms,and there was no significant difference in the PFIQ-7 score between groups at follow-up （P ＞ 0.05）.Compared with baseline,the nonmesh group exhibited a statistically significant decrease in anal residual pressure,a significant increase in the anorectal pressure difference during bowel movement,and a reduced rate ofdyssynergia defecation pattern （P ＜ 0.05）.Conclusions：Provided there is sufficient support for the anterior wall and apex of vagina with mesh,posterior compartment repair without mesh may be as effective as repair with mesh for anatomical recovery while providing better anorectal motor function.

Nonconjugated clusteroluminogens(CLgens),such as proteins and polystyrene,have become increasingly important in *** show many advantages over traditional conjugated dyes with fused aromatic rings in biological ***,CLgens have historically been unheeded because of their weak visible emissions in the aggregate state,namely clusteroluminescence(CL).Changing the electronic structures of CLgens by precisely regulating the intramolecular throughspace interaction(TSI)to improve their photophysical properties remains an enormous ***,we propose a general strategy to construct a higher-level intramolecular TSI,namely secondary TSI constructed by the primary TSI and a TSI linker,in multi-aryl-substituted alkanes(MAAs).By introducing methyl and phenyl into 1,1,3,3-tetraphenylpropane,the modified MAAs show efficient CL with high luminescence quantum yield(-40%)and long emission wavelength(-530 nm).Then,comprehensive experiments and theoretical studies demonstrate that molecular rigidity and overlap of subunits play pivotal roles in improving these hierarchical *** work not only provides a feasible strategy to achieve controllable manipulation of hierarchical TSIs and CL but also establishes comprehensive TSI-based aggregate photophysics.

Combination therapy reduces the percutaneous coronary intervention acute myocardial infarction incidence of no-reflow after primary in patients with ST-segment elevation

Background No-reflow is associated with an adverse outcome and higher mortality in patients with ST-segment elevation acute myocardial infarction （STEMI） who undergo percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） and is considered a dynamic process characterized by multiple pathogenetic components. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a combination therapy for the prevention of no-reflow in patient with acute myocardial infarction （AMI） undergoing primary PCI. Methods A total of 621 patients with STEMI who underwent emergency primary PCI were enrolled in this study. Patients with high risk of no-reflow （no-flow score 〉 10, by using a no-flow risk prediction model, n = 216） were randomly divided into a controlled group （n = 108） and a combination therapy group （n = 108）. Patients in the controlled group received conventional treatment, while patients in combination therapy group received high-dose （80 mg） atorvastatin pre-treatment, intracoronary administration of adenosine （140 ~tg/min per kilogram） during PCI procedure, platelet membrane glycoprotein lib/Ilia receptor antagonist （tirofiban, ***/kg bolus followed by 0.15 ~tg/kg per minute） and thrombus aspiration. Myocardial contrast echocardiography was performed to assess the myocardial perfusion 72 h after PCI. Major adverse cardiac events （MACE） were followed up for six months. Results Incidence of no-reflow in combination therapy group was 2.8%, which was similar to that in low risk group 2.7% and was significantly lower than that in control group （35.2%, P 〈 0.01）. The myocardial perfusion （A= 13） values were higher in combination therapy group than that in control group 72 h after PCI. After 6 months, there were six （6.3%） MACE events （one death, two non-fatal MIs and three revasculafizations） in combination therapy group and 12 （13.2%）（four deaths, three non-fatal MIs and five revascularizations, P 〈 0.05） in control group.
