Emphasizing Essential Words for Sentiment Classification Based onRecurrent Neural Networks

With the explosion of online communication and publication, texts become obtainable via forums, chat messages, blogs, book reviews and movie reviews. Usually, these texts are much short and noisy without sufficient statistical signals and enough information for a good semantic analysis. Traditional natural language processing methods such as Bow-of-Word (BOW) based probabilistic latent semantic models fail to achieve high performance due to the short text environment. Recent researches have focused on the correlations between words, i.e., term dependencies, which could be helpful for mining latent semantics hidden in short texts and help people to understand them. Long short-term memory (LSTM) network can capture term dependencies and is able to remember the information for long periods of time. LSTM has been widely used and has obtained promising results in variants of problems of understanding latent semantics of texts. At the same time, by analyzing the texts, we find that a number of keywords contribute greatly to the semantics of the texts. In this paper, we establish a keyword vocabulary and propose an LSTM-based model that is sensitive to the words in the vocabulary; hence, the keywords leverage the semantics of the full document. The proposed model is evaluated in a short-text sentiment analysis task on two datasets: IMDB and SemEval-2016, respectively. Experimental results demonstrate that our model outperforms the baseline LSTM by 1%similar to 2% in terms of accuracy and is effective with significant performance enhancement over several non-recurrent neural network latent semantic models (especially in dealing with short texts). We also incorporate the idea into a variant of LSTM named the gated recurrent unit (GRU) model and achieve good performance, which proves that our method is general enough to improve different deep learning models.

Determination of urine-derived odorous compounds in a source separation sanitation system

Source separation sanitation systems have attracted more and more attention ***, separate urine collection and treatment could induce odor issues, especially in large scale application. In order to avoid such issues, it is necessary to monitor the odor related compounds that might be generated during urine storage. This study investigated the odorous compounds that emitted from source-separated human urine under different hydrolysis conditions. Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of temperature, stale/fresh urine ratio and urine dilution on odor emissions. It was found that ammonia, dimethyl disulfide, allyl methyl sulfide and 4-heptanone were the main odorous compounds generated from human urine, with headspace concentrations hundreds of times higher than their respective odor thresholds. Furthermore, the high temperature accelerated urine hydrolysis and liquid–gas mass transfer, resulting a remarkable increase of odor emissions from the urine solution. The addition of stale urine enhanced urine hydrolysis and expedited odor emissions. On the contrary, diluted urine emitted less odorous compounds ascribed to reduced concentrations of odorant precursors. In addition,this study quantified the odor emissions and revealed the constraints of urine source separation in real-world applications. To address the odor issue, several control strategies are recommended for odor mitigation or elimination from an engineering perspective.

Prevalence of sensitization to weed pollens of Humulus scandens,Artemisia vulgaris,and Ambrosia artemisiifolia in northern China

Objective:Weed pollens are common sources of allergens *** prevalence of weed pollen sensitization is not yet fully known in *** purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of sensitization to weed allergens from Artemisia,Ambrosia,and Humulus in northern ***:A total of 1144 subjects(aged from 5 to 68 years) visiting our clinic from June to October 2011 underwent intradermal testing using a panel of 25 allergen *** with positive skin responses to any pollen were further tested for their serum concentrations of IgE antibodies against Artemisia vulgaris,Ambrosia artemisiifolia,and Humulus scandens,and against the purified allergens,Art v 1 and Amb a ***:Of 1144 subjects,170 had positive intradermal reactions to pollen and 144 donated serum for IgE *** prevalence of positive intradermal responses to pollens of Artemisia sieversiana,Artemisia annua,***,and *** was 11.0%,10.2%,3.7%,and 6.6%,*** the intradermal positive subjects,the prevalence of specific IgE antigens to *** was 58.3%,to *** 14.7%,and to *** 41.0%.The prevalence of specific IgE antigens to the allergen Art v 1 was 46.9%,and to Amb a 1 was 11.2%.The correlation between the presence of IgE antibodies specific to *** and to the Art v 1 antigen was very *** with *** specific IgE also had *** specific IgE,but with relatively high levels of *** IgE *** were no correlations between the presence of IgE antibodies to *** and *** or to *** and ***:The intradermal prevalence of weed pollen sensitization among allergic subjects in northern China is about 13.5%.Correlations of specific IgE antibodies suggest that pollen allergens from Artemisia and Humulus are independent sources for primary sensitization.

Effect of embryo quality on pregnancy outcomes for women completing biochemical pregnancy in in vitro fertilizationembryo transfer(IVF-ET)

Objective To analyze the effect of the numbers of transferred good-quality embryos on pregnancy outcomes in in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer （IVF-ET）, supplying a reference for selection of transferred embryos.Methods Five hundreds and one infertile patients who underwent IVF-ET were retrospectively analyzed. All cycles were divided into 3 groups by the number of transferred good-quality embryos （group A： two good-quality embryos, group B： one good-quality embryo, group C： no good-quality embryo）, with no significant difference in general condition such as age, infertility duration and infertility types. The pregnancy outcomes were compared and analyzed among the three groups.Results 1） Live-birth rate was improved with increasing good-quality transferred embryo numbers. Groups A （70.3%） and B （69.8%） had no significant difference （P=0. 409）, whereas it was significantly greater in groups A and B than in group C （57. 7%）（P=0.009, P=0.036）. 2） The loss of single gestational sacs rate, which have no significant difference among 3 groups （P=0.221, P=0.539, P=0.226）, reduced with increasing good-quality transferred embryos numbers. 3） Biochemical pregnancy abortion rate in groups A （10.9%） and B （10.1%） was significantly lower than that in group C （18.3%）（P=0.049, P=0.049）. 4） There was no significant difference among 3 groups in ectopic pregnancy rate （P=0.174, P=0.129, P=0.404）. 5）Multiple-birth rate was improved with increasing good-quality transferred embryos numbers, it was significantly greater in group A （31.6%） than in group C （15.0%）（P=0.020）, while groups B and A had no significant difference （P=0.489, P=0.126）.Conclusion Two good-quality transferred embryos have no significantly difference to 1 good-quality embryo in all pregnancy outcomes. In clinic treatment, we can select 1 good-quality embryo and 1 poor-quality embryo when patients only have few goodquality embryos. Application of machine learning algorithm for predicting gestational diabetes mellitus in early pregnancy

Tungsten and its oxides are highly versatile catalysts with unique properties that hold great promise for a wide array of applications,including biological pathways and chemical *** chemo-catalysis of cellulose to ethanol presents a promising avenue for ethanol synthesis with the potential for enhanced efficiency compared to conventional methods,offering a sustainable and carbon-neutral alternative to existing petrochemical and biological ***,Ir/WOxcatalysts enriched with oxygen vacancies were meticulously prepared and demonstrated remarkable catalytic performance in converting cellulose to ethanol directly in the presence of tungstic *** catalyst achieved a high ethanol yield of 66.5%under optimal reaction conditions,approaching the theoretical yield limit of traditional ethanol *** results revealed the presence of oxygen defects,Bronsted/Lewis acidity,and Ir nanoclusters on the catalyst surface,working synergistically to facilitate the cascade catalysis of cellulose hydrolysis,sugar retro-aldol condensation reaction,and C2 intermediate hydrodeoxygenation to *** situ Fourier transform infrared spectrometer analysis confirmed the catalyst's ability to enhance the adsorption and activation of ethylene glycol for ethanol *** manipulating subtle structural features,this study offers a fresh perspective on tungsten group catalyst design and underscores the importance of synergistic effects among catalytic sites for the efficient production of ethanol from cellulose.
