p-TsOH catalyzed Diels-Alder reaction of 3-(indol-3-yl)maleimides with 3-phenacylideneoxindoles in toluene at 80℃for two hours afforded cis/trans isomers of 3 a’,4’,6’,10 c’-tetrahydrospiro[indoline-3,5’-pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazoles]in nearly comparable yields,which could be easily converted to the corresponding 4’,6’-dihydrospiro[indoline-3,5’-pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazole]in high yields and with high diastereoselectivity by further DDQ oxidation.Additionally,the similar reaction of 3-(indol-3-yl)maleimides with 2-arylidene-1,3-indanediones in toluene 80℃and sequential DDQ oxidation afforded functionalized dihydrospiro[indene-2,5’-pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazoles]as major products.

Independence among leaf economics,leaf hydraulics and leaf size confers plants great capability in adapting to heterogeneous environments.However,it remains unclear whether the independence of the leaf traits revealed across species still holds within species,especially under stressed conditions.Here,a suite of traits in these dimensions were measured in leaves and roots of a typical mangrove species,Ceriops tagal,which grows in habitats with a similar sunny and hot environment but different soil salinity in southern China.Compared with C.tagal under low soil salinity,C.tagal under high soil salinity had lower photosynthetic capacity,as indicated directly by a lower leaf nitrogen concentration and higher water use efficiency,and indirectly by a higher investment in defense function and thinner palisade tissue;had lower water transport capacity,as evidenced by thinner leaf minor veins and thinner root vessels;and also had much smaller single leaf area.Leaf economics,hydraulics and leaf size of the mangrove species appear to be coordinated as one trait dimension,which likely stemmed from covariation of soil water and nutrient availability along the salinity gradient.The intraspecific leaf trait relationship under a stressful environment is insightful for our understanding of plant adaption to the multifarious environments.

Buffer overflow poses a serious threat to the memory security of modern operating systems.It overwrites the con-tents of other memory areas by breaking through the buffer capacity limit,destroys the system execution environ-ment,and provides implementation space for various system attacks such as program control flow hijacking.That makes it a wide range of harms.A variety of security technologies have been proposed to deal with system security problems including buffer overflow.For example,No eXecute(NX for short)is a memory management technology commonly used in Harvard architecture.It can refuse the execution of code which residing in a specific memory,and can effectively suppress the abnormal impact of buffer overflow on control flow.Therefore,in recent years,it has also been used in the field of system security,deriving a series of solutions based on NX technology,such as ExecShield,DEP,StackGuard,etc.However,these security solutions often rely too much on the processor archi-tecture so that the protection coverage is insufficient and the accuracy is limited.Especially in the emerging system architecture field represented by RiSC-V,there is still a lack of effective solutions for buffer overflow vulnerabilities.With the continuous rapid development of the system architecture,it is urgent to develop defense methods that are applicable to different system application environments and oriented to all executable memory spaces to meet the needs of system security development.Therefore,we propose BOP,A new system memory security design method based on RISC-V extended instructions,to build a RISC-V buffer overflow detection and defense system and deal with the buffer overflow threat in RIsC-V.According to this method,NX technology can be combined with program control flow analysis,and Nx bit mechanism can be used to manage the executability of memory space,so as to achieve a more granular detection and defense of buffer overflow attacks that may occur in RISC-V system environment.In addition,The memory management an

Presented herein is an experimental study on the combustion of B4C/KNO3 binary pyrotechnic system.Combustion products were tested using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS).According to the results of tests and CEA calculation,the combustion reaction equation was established.The flames and burning rates were recorded by a high speed camera and a spectrophotometer.The effect of B4C particle size on the thermal sensitivity of B4C/KNO3 was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)techniques.In addition,a reliable method for calculating the flame temperature was proposed.Based on the results of experiments,the combustion reaction mechanism was briefly analyzed.The burning rate,flame temperature and thermal sensitivity of B4C/KNO3 increase with the decrease of B4C particle size.The mass ratio of B4C/KNO3 has a great effect on combustion properties.Oxidizer-rich compositions have low flame temperatures,low burning rates,and provide green light emission.The combustion reactions of fuel-rich compositions are vigorous,and the B4C/KNO3 with mass ratio of 25:75 has the highest burning rate and the highest flame temperature.

Celiac disease (CD),once considered a gastrointestinal condition,is now known as a systemic autoimmune disease initiated by exposure to dietary gluten mainly in human leukocyte antigen DQ2 (HLA-DQ2) or HLA-DQ8 carriers.The classic presentations of CD include intestinal manifestations such as chronic diarrhea,bloating,abdominal pain,constipation,weight loss,or poor growth in children.Iron-deficiency,osteoporosis,and neuropathy attributable to vitamin B12 deficiency is also frequently seen in celiac patients.Immune responses spreading to tissues apart from the intestine cause dermatologic conditions such as dermatitis herpetiformis,and even increased risk of miscarriage in women.

The in-core self-powered neutron detector(SPND)acts as a key measuring device for the monitoring of parameters and evaluation of the operating conditions of nuclear reactors.Prompt detection and tolerance of faulty SPNDs are indispensable for reliable reactor management.To completely extract the correlated state information of SPNDs,we constructed a twin model based on a generalized regression neural network(GRNN)that represents the common relationships among overall signals.Faulty SPNDs were determined because of the functional concordance of the twin model and real monitoring sys-tems,which calculated the error probability distribution between the model outputs and real values.Fault detection follows a tolerance phase to reinforce the stability of the twin model in the case of massive failures.A weighted K-nearest neighbor model was employed to reasonably reconstruct the values of the faulty signals and guarantee data purity.The experimental evaluation of the proposed method showed promising results,with excellent output consistency and high detection accuracy for both single-and multiple-point faulty SPNDs.For unexpected excessive failures,the proposed tolerance approach can efficiently repair fault behaviors and enhance the prediction performance of the twin model.

Triclosan(TCS)is widely used in personal-care products because of its bactericidal and antibacterial properties.However,TCS and its toxic byproducts have been detected in aquatic environments,animals,and plants worldwide.TCS is a common phenolic environmental endocrine disruptor,and TCS in the environment enters the body mainly through diet and water.Most of the absorbed TCS is metabolized by the human kidneys and is eliminated in the urine[1].Some epidemiological studies have suggested a positive correlation between the TCS exposure level in urine and albumin(a biomarker of renal function),which could cause renal dysfunction[2].However,the potential effects of TCS on the mammalian kidney and its mechanisms are currently unknown.Consequently,we initiated an in vitro trial to study the molecular mechanism of cytotoxicity of TCS to glomeruli.

Predicting the Activity of Oral Lichen Planus with Glycolysis-related Molecules:A Scikit-learn-based Function

Objective Oral lichen planus(OLP)is one of the most common oral mucosa diseases,and is mainly mediated by T lymphocytes.The metabolic reprogramming of activated T cells has been shown to transform from oxidative phosphorylation to aerobic glycolysis.The present study investigated the serum levels of glycolysis-related molecules(lactate dehydrogenase,LDH;pyruvic acid,PA;lactic acid,LAC)in OLP,and the correlation with OLP activity was assessed using the reticular,atrophic and erosive lesion(RAE)scoring system.Methods Univariate and multivariate linear regression functions based on scikit-learn were designed to predict the RAE scores in OLP patients,and the performance of these two machine learning functions was compared.Results The results revealed that the serum levels of PA and LAC were upregulated in erosive OLP(EOLP)patients,when compared to healthy volunteers.Furthermore,the LDH and LAC levels were significantly higher in the EOLP group than in the nonerosive OLP(NEOLP)group.All glycolysis-related molecules were positively correlated to the RAE scores.Among these,LAC had a strong correlation.The univariate function that involved the LAC level and the multivariate function that involved all glycolysis-related molecules presented comparable prediction accuracy and stability,but the latter was more time-consuming.Conclusion It can be concluded that the serum LAC level can be a user-friendly biomarker to monitor the OLP activity,based on the univariate function developed in the present study.The intervention of the glycolytic pathway may provide a potential therapeutic strategy.

Nowadays,tungsten oxides,as a typical transition metal oxide,are widely and intensively investigated owing to their excellent material properties and device properties.Controlling oxygen defi ciency in tungsten oxides is typically the key to enhance their performances for a variety of critical technological applications.With a gradual increase of oxygen defi ciency,various non-stoichiometric tungsten oxides can be formed by re-adjustment of the atomic arrangement,which exhibits superior performances than their traditional stoichiometric counterparts.This review mainly focuses on the recent advances in oxygen-defi cient tungsten oxides from the point of atomic structures,including the forming mechanism of non-stoichiometric tungsten oxides and the superiority of these oxygen-defi cient tungsten oxides in energy-related devices.Finally,the challenge and perspective of oxygen-defi cient tungsten oxides are also discussed.

BACKGROUND BCR-ABL1 fusion gene is associated with a poor prognosis and a high incidence in central nervous system(CNS)leukemia.CNS invasion which detected at the initial diagnosis is commonly with bone marrow infiltration.It is uncommon for the leukemia cells to be located primarily in the CNS without bone marrow involvement.CASE SUMMARY We here report the rare initial presentation of CNS-restricted BCR-ABL-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia in a 30-year-old female patient who clinically manifested with leukemic meningitis,with no involvement in peripheral blood or bone marrow.Identification of abnormal phenotypes of blast cells,and BCR-ABL1 rearrangement in the cerebrospinal fluid alone established the diagnosis of primary CNS-isolated acute lymphocytic leukemia.The patient received a combination of intrathecal therapy and high-dose chemotherapy.But the benefits of the treatments were short-lived and she experienced recurrence.CONCLUSION Flow cytometry in combination with molecular genetic analysis improved diagnostic accuracy.New approaches that may enhance the efficacy of the existing therapies and cure CNS leukemia are required.
