High-pressure minerals and new lunar mineral changesite-(Y) in Chang’e-5 regolith

Forty-five years after the Apollo and Luna missions, China’s Chang’e-5 (CE-5) mission collected ∼1.73 kg of new lunar materials from one ofthe youngest basalt units on the Moon. The CE-5 lunar samples provide opportunities to address some key scientific questions related to theMoon, including the discovery of high-pressure silica polymorphs (seifertite and stishovite) and a new lunar mineral, changesite-(Y). Seifertitewas found to be coexist with stishovite in a silica fragment from CE-5 lunar regolith. This is the first confirmed seifertite in returned lunarsamples. Seifertite has two space group symmetries (Pnc2 and Pbcn) and formed from an α-cristobalite-like phase during “cold” compressionduring a shock event. The aftershock heating process changes some seifertite to stishovite. Thus, this silica fragment records different stagesof an impact process, and the peak shock pressure is estimated to be ∼11 to 40 GPa, which is much lower than the pressure condition forcoexistence of seifertite and stishovite on the phase diagram. Changesite-(Y), with ideal formula (Ca_(8)Y)◻Fe^(2+)(PO_(4))_(7) (where ◻ denotes avacancy) is the first new lunar mineral to be discovered in CE-5 regolith samples. This newly identified phosphate mineral is in the form ofcolumnar crystals and was found in CE-5 basalt fragments. It contains high concentrations of Y and rare earth elements (REE), reaching upto ∼14 wt. % (Y,REE)2O3. The occurrence of changesite-(Y) marks the late-stage fractional crystallization processes of CE-5 basalts combinedwith silicate liquid immiscibility. These new findings demonstrate the significance of studies on high-pressure minerals in lunar materials andthe special nature of lunar magmatic evolution.

Subnanometer metal clusters play an increasingly important role in heterogeneous catalysis due to their high catalytic activity and *** this work,by means of the density functional theory(DFT) calculations,the catalytic activities of transition metal clusters with precise numbers of atoms supported on graphdiyne(TM_(1-4)@GDY,TM=V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Ru,Rh,Pd,Ir,Pt) were investigated for oxygen evolution reactions(OER),oxygen reduction reactions(ORR) and hydrogen evolution reactions(HER).The computed results reveal that the Pd_(2),Pd_(4) and Pt_(1) anchored graphdiyne can serve as trifunctional catalysts for OER/ORR/HER with the overpotentials of 0.49/0.37/0.06,0.45/0.33/0.12 and 0.37/0.43/0.01 V,respectively,while Pd_(1) and Pt_(2)@graphdiyne can exhibit excellent catalytic performance for water splitting(OER/HER) with the overpotentials of 0.55/0.17 and 0.43/0.03 *** addition,Ni_(1) and Pd_(3) anchored GDY can perform as bifunctional catalysts for metal-air cells(OER/ORR) and fuels cells(ORR/HER) with the overpotentials of 0.34/0.32 and 0.42/0.04 V,***,by precisely controlling the numbers of atoms in clusters,the TM_(1-4) anchored graphdiyne can serve as promising multifunctional electrocatalysts for OER/ORR/HER,which may provide an instructive strategy to design catalysts for the energy conversation and storage devices.

Objective Lidamycin, an enediyne antibiotic, leads to apoptosis and mitotic cell death of human tumor cells at high and low concentrations. The reason why tumor cells have distinct responses to lidamycin remains elusive. This study was to elucidate if cellular prosurvival molecules are involved in these responses. Methods Cleavage of chromatin and DNA was observed by chromatin condensation and agarose gel electrophoresis. Accumulation of rhodamine 123 in lidamycin-treated cells was assayed by flow cytometry. Cell multinucleation was detected by staining with Hoechst 33342. Western blot and senescence-associated β-galactosidase （SA-β-gal） staining were used to analyze protein expression and senescence-like phenotype, respectively. Results SIRT1 deacetylase remained unchanged in 0.5 nmol/L lidamycin whereas cleavage occurred when apoptosis was induced by lidamycin. Increased FOXO3a, SOD-1 and SOD-2 expression and transient phosphorylation of ERK were detected after exposure of human hepatoma BEL-7402 cells to 0.5 nmol/L lidamycin. High expressions of SIRT1 and Akt were found in colon carcinoma HCT116 p53 knock-out cells exposed to lidamycin. Degradation of PARP and p53 by lidamycin as a substitute for SIRT1 and Akt was confirmed with caspase inhibitor Q-VD-OPh and proteasome inhibitor MG132. Resistance to lidamycin-induced DNA cleavage was observed in breast cancer doxorubicin-resistant MCF-7 cells. This was not induced by P-glycoprotein as no accumulation of rhodamine 123 was detected in the resistant cells following exposure to lidamycin. In contrast to sensitive MCF-7 cells, a lower multinucleation rate for the resistant cells was measured following exposure to equal concentrations of lidamycin. Conclusions Cellular prosurvival molecules, such as SIRTI, Akt, SOD-1, SOD-2 and other unknown factors can influence the action of lidamycin on human tumor cells.

Aim:To examine whether isoliquiritigenin(ISL)can attenuate myocardial ischemia-reperfusion(MI/R)injury in rats by inducing metallothionein(MT)through acti-vation of janus kinase 2(JAK 2)/signal transducers and activators of transcription3(STAT 3)***:The experimental model of MI/R in rats was gener-ated by 30 min of ischemia and reperfusion for 2 *** mRNA expression of MT,COX-2,and iNOS were measured by *** protein expressions of MT,JAK/STAT,extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK),and Akt were determinedby Western blotting in the absence or presence of a JAK kinase inhibitor,tyrphostinAG490(1.0 mg/kg,iv,1h before ischemia).Results:Pretreatment with ISL mark-edly decreased the severity of reperfusion-induced arrhythmias and myocardialinfarct *** the ISL 20 mg/kg group,the activities of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and creatinine phosphokinase(CPK)were reduced by 38.4% and 51.3%when compared with the vehicle *** JAK 2/STAT 3 phosphoryla-tion was accompanied by increased synthesis of MT but not of COX-2 or iNOS inISL-treated ***490 can significantly weaken ISL-induced cardioprotectionand prevent the increase of MT expression and JAK 2/STAT 3 ***:ISL protected MI/R injury through activation of JAK 2/STAT 3 sig-nal transduction pathway,which might be involved in mediating the upregulationof MT expression.

The recently discovered ATi_(3)Bi_(5)(A=Cs,Rb)exhibit intriguing quantum phenomena including superconductivity,electronic nematicity,and abundant topological ***_(3)Bi_(5)present promising platforms for studying kagome superconductivity,band topology,and charge orders in parallel with *** this work,we comprehensively analyze various properties of ATi_(3)Bi_(5)covering superconductivity under pressure and doping,band topology under pressure,thermal conductivity,heat capacity,electrical resistance,and spin Hall conductivity(SHC)using first-principles *** superconducting transition temperature(Tc)of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5)and RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)at ambient pressure are about 1.85 and 1.92 *** subject to pressure,Tc of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5)exhibits a special valley and dome shape,which arises from quasi-two-dimensional compression to three-dimensional isotropic compression within the context of an overall decreasing ***,Tc of RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)can be effectively enhanced up to 3.09 K by tuning the kagome van Hove singularities(VHSs)and flat band through *** can also induce abundant topological surface states at the Fermi energy(EF)and tune VHSs across ***,our transport calculations are in excellent agreement with recent experiments,confirming the absence of charge density ***,SHC of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5)can reach up to 226h·(e·Ω·cm)^(-1)at *** work provides a timely and detailed analysis of the rich physical properties for ATi_(3)Bi_(5),offering valuable insights for further experimental verifications and investigations in this field.

A series of zinc silylamido complexes based upon NNO tridentate enolic Schiff base framework have been synthesized and characterized. These complexes were tested for the ring opening polymerization of lactide and e-caprolactone, exhibiting notably high activity at ambient temperature, The influence of imine bridge length and substituents of diketone over the course of polymerization was investigated in details. Remarkably, 4a was confirmed to be a rare example of exceedingly active and robust zinc catalysts, achieving major transformation of lactide under extremely low loading （0.025 mol%） within 18 rain. The influence of various monomers as well as the polymerization mechanism have also been discussed.

Due to the thermal depolarization effect,adequate piezoelectric performance with high operating temperature is regarded to be challenging to accomplish concurrently in piezoceramics for applications in specific piezoelectric *** this work,we synthesized(0.8−x)BiFeO_(3)-x PbTi_(3)-0.2Ba(Zr_(0.25)Ti_(0.75))O_(3)(abbreviated as BFO-x PT-BZT)ternary solid solutions with 0.15≤x≤0.30 by conventional solid-state reaction *** MPB composition with a coexisting state of rhombohedral-tetragonal phases exhibits enhanced electromechanical properties,including Curie temperature of 380℃,large-signal equivalent piezoelectric coefficient d^(∗)_(33)of 395 pm V^(-1),small-signal piezoelectric coefficient d_(33)of 302 pC N^(-1),and electromechanical coupling factor k_(p)of 50.2%,which is comparable to commercial PZT-5A ceramics,indicating potential in high-temperature ***,in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD)and piezoelectric force microscopic(PFM)techniques demonstrate that multiphase coexistence and complex nanodomains promote piezoelectric response via *** x=0.24 composition exhibits the highest in-situ d_(33)of 577 pC N^(-1)and good temperature stability in 30−280℃,indicating that BZT-modified BFO-PT ceramics are promising candidates for high-temperature piezoelectric devices.
