Effect of droplet characteristics on liquid-phase distribution in spray zone of internal mixing air-mist nozzle

In continuous casting production,droplet characteristics are important parameters for evaluating the nozzle atomization quality,and have a significant impact on the secondary cooling effect and the slab *** order to study the behavior of atomized droplets after reaching the slab surface and to optimize the spray cooling effect,the influence of droplet diameter and droplet velocity on the migration behavior of droplets in the secondary cooling zone was analyzed by FLUENT *** show that the droplets in the spray zone and on the slab surface are mainly concentrated in the center,thus,the liquid volume fraction in the center is higher than that of either *** the droplet diameter increases,the region of high liquid volume fraction on the slab surface becomes wider,and the liquid phase distribution in the slab width direction becomes *** increasing the droplet velocity at the nozzle exit has little effect on droplet diffusion in the spray zone,the distribution becomes more uneven due to more liquid reaches the slab surface per unit time.A prediction formula of the maximum water flow rate on the slab surface for specific droplet characteristics was proposed based on dimensionless analysis and validated by simulated data.A nozzle spacing of 210 mm was recommended under the working conditions in this study,which ensures effective coverage of the spray water over the slab surface and enhances the distribution uniformity of water flow rate in the transverse direction.

Transferring healthy and functional mitochondria to the lateral ventricles confers neuroprotection in a rat model of ischemia-reperfusion *** mitochondrial transplantation is also beneficial in pediatric patients with cardiac ischemia-reperfusion ***,transplantation of functional exogenous mitochondria may be a promising therapeutic approach for ischemic *** explore the neuroprotective effect of mitochondria transplantation and determine the underlying mechanism in ischemic stroke,in this study we established a photo-thrombosis-induced mouse model of focal ischemia and administered freshly isolated mitochondria via the tail vein or to the injury site(in situ).Animal behavior tests,immunofluorescence staining,2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC)staining,mRNA-seq,and western blotting were used to assess mouse anxiety and memory,cortical infarct area,pyroptosis,and neurogenesis,*** bioinformatics analysis,western blotting,co-immunoprecipitation,and mass spectroscopy,we identified S100 calcium binding protein A9(S100A9)as a potential regulator of mitochondrial function and determined its possible interacting *** between exogenous and endogenous mitochondria,as well as the effect of exogenous mitochondria on recipient microglia,were assessed in *** data showed that:(1)mitochondrial transplantation markedly reduced mortality and improved emotional and cognitive function,as well as reducing infarct area,inhibiting pyroptosis,and promoting cortical neurogenesis;(2)microglial expression of S100A9 was markedly increased by ischemic injury and regulated mitochondrial function;(3)in vitro,exogenous mitochondria enhanced mitochondrial function,reduced redox stress,and regulated microglial polarization and pyroptosis by fusing with endogenous mitochondria;and(4)S100A9 promoted internalization of exogenous mitochondria by the microglia,thereby amplifying their pro-proliferation and anti-inflammatory ***

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)h ave attracted widespread attention due to their large surface area and porous *** designing the nanostructures of MOFs to promote their application in ethanol electrooxidation is still a ***,a novel Cu-NCNs(Cu-nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes)support was synthesized by pyrolysis of melamine(MEL)and Cu-ZIF-8 together,and then,Pd-Au nanoalloys were loaded by sodium borohydride reduction method to prepare PdAu@Cu-NCNs *** generating mesoporous carbon with high specific surface area and favorable electron and mass transport can be used as a potential excellent carrier for PdAu *** addition,the balance of catalyst composition and surface structure was tuned by controlling the content of Pd and ***,the best-performed Pd_(2)Au_(2)@Cu-NCN-1000-2(where 1000 means the carrier calcination temperature,and 2 means the calcination constant temperature time)catalyst exhibits better long-term stability and electrochemical activity for ethanol oxidation in alkaline media(4.80 A·mg^(-1)),which is 5.05 times higher than that of commercial Pd/C(0.95 A·mg^(-1)).Therefore,this work is beneficial to further promoting the application of MOFs in direct ethanol fuel cells(DEFCs)and can be used as inspiration for the design of more efficient catalyst support structures.

Antarctic trace metal records provide important information for grasping the influence of human activities on the environment over the last *** CA2016-75 ice core is located along the East Antarctic Zhongshan Station-Dome A,enhances the record of metals research in the East Antarctic region,and its high-resolution supplies data support for the study of high-frequency climatic drivers and the effect of human activities on the Antarctic environment.A thorough dataset on seven trace metals(Al,Fe,Mn,Cu,Zn,Ba and Pb)in a coastal ice core in eastern Antarctica during the previous 102 years(1915-2016)is presented in this *** has the lowest concentration(9.51±20.95 pg g^(-1)),and Ba has the highest concentration(36.57±51.35 ng g^(-1)).Notable variations are observed between the pre-1968 AD and post-1968 AD phases for Mn,Zn and *** abrupt,remarkable increase in the concentrations coincided with the change of metal smelting production in the southern *** addition to this,it may also be related to local Antarctic scientific research *** and Fe,the primary crustal elements,are essentially obtained from soil dust;Cu shows high crustal enrichment factors(EFc,>10),indicating that it is notably affected by anthropogenic ***,the anthropogenic activities in the Southern Hemisphere have had an impact on lead deposition in *** study not only enriches the trace metal historical record along the Zhongshan Station-Dome A but also provides a high-resolution ice core record,which is very crucial for the reconstruction of trace metal concentration changes in the last 100 years.

The utilization of solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)presents a promising solution to the issues of safety concern and shuttle effect in li–S batteries,which has garnered significant interest ***,the high interfacial impedances existing between the SSEs and the electrodes(both lithium anodes and sulfur cathodes)hinder the charge transfer and intensify the uneven deposition of lithium,which ultimately result in insufficient capacity utilization and poor cycling ***,the reduction of interfacial resistance between SSEs and electrodes is of paramount importance in the pursuit of efficacious solid-state *** this review,we focus on the experimental strategies employed to enhance the interfacial contact between SSEs and electrodes,and summarize recent progresses of their applications in solidstate li–S ***,the challenges and perspectives of rational interfacial design in practical solid-state li–S batteries are outlined as *** expect that this review will provide new insights into the further technique development and practical applications of solid-state lithium batteries.

Anther dehiscence is a crucial event in plant reproduction,tightly regulated and dependent on the lignification of the anther *** this study,we investigated the rapid lignification process that ensures timely anther dehiscence in *** findings reveal that endothecium lignification can be divided into two distinct *** Phase Ⅰ,lignin precursors are synthesized without polymerization,while Phase Ⅱ involves simultaneous synthesis of lignin precursors and *** transcription factors MYB26,NST1/2,and ARF17 specifically regulate the pathway responsible for the synthesis and polymerization of lignin monomers in Phase Ⅱ.MYB26-NST1/2 is the key regulatory pathway responsible for endothecium lignification,while ARF17 facilitates this process by interacting with ***,our results demonstrate that the lignification of the endothecium,which occurs within approximately 26 h,is much faster than that of the vascular *** findings provide valuable insights into the regulation mechanism of rapid lignification in the endothecium,which enables timely anther dehiscence and successful pollen release during plant reproduction.

BACKGROUND Glucose and lipid metabolic disorder in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is associated with the levels of serum tumor markers of the digestive tract,such as cancer antigen(CA)***,tumor markers in T2DM are *** To evaluate the expression of serum tumor markers[CA199,CA242,and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)]and the clinical implications of the expression in *** For this observational study conducted at Hefei BOE Hospital,China,we enrolled 82 patients with first-onset T2DM and 51 controls between April 2019 and December *** of fasting blood glucose(FBG),tumor markers(CA199,CEA,and CA242),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),*** measured and group index levels were ***,FBG and HbA1c levels were correlated with tumor marker *** markers were tested for diagnostic accuracy in patients with>9%HbA1c using the receiver operating curve(ROC)*** The T2DM group had high serum FBG,HbA1c,CA199,and CEA levels(P9%)revealed significant differences in CEA and CA199 levels(P<0.05).The areas under the ROC curve for CEA and CA199 were 0.853 and 0.809,***199,CEA,and CA242 levels positively correlated with HbA1c(r=0.308,0.426,and 0.551,respectively)and FBG levels(r=0.236,0.231,and 0.298,respectively).CONCLUSION As compared to controls,serum CEA and CA199 levels were higher in patients with ***1c and FBG levels correlated with CA199,CEA,and CA242 *** with poorly controlled blood sugar must be screened for tumor markers.
