It is of great significance to design epoxy coatings with superior antibacterial properties and high adhesive properties, as well as excellent processing, superior durability, and high transparency. However, it is still a challenge because of the common complex design and synthesis. Herein, the bio-based monomer protocatechuic acid(PCA) was used as raw material, the catechol structure with high bonding and antibacterial properties was introduced into the flexible alkane segment of ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(EGDE) through an efficient, and green method, and it was cured with isophorone diamine(IPDA) to prepare corresponding thermosets. The cured resins exhibited excellent allaround qualities, particularly in bonding and antibacterial. When 30% PCA was added to pure epoxy resin, the adhesion between substrate and coating increased from 4.40 MPa to 13.60 MPa and the antibacterial rate of coating against E. coli and S. aureus could approach 100%. All of this is due to the fact that the catechol structure present in PCA has the ability to interact with various substrates and alter the permeability of bacterial cell membranes. The architecture of this method offers a fresh approach to dealing with the issues of challenging raw material selection and complex synthesis techniques.

The construction of major marine infrastructure projects and the exploration and development of deep-sea mineral resources require fine imaging of seabed strata and *** highresolution marine seismic exploration based on a high broadband sparker source is an important approach to reveal seabed stratum and reservoir structure,and identify *** optimize the performance of sparker seismic source,we investigated the electro-acoustic characteristics of spark discharge under conditions of different charging voltages and electrode *** show that the sound source level increased with the increase of the charging voltage,whereas the main frequency decreased when the charging voltage *** addition,it was found that the charging capacitance had more obvious influence on the main frequency than the sound source level *** the load energy decreased with increasing electrode number,the sound source level still increased but the main frequency ***,the primary to bubble(P/B)ratio increased with the increase of the electrode *** gain a deeper insight into the electro-acoustic characteristics,we investigate the relationship between sound source level and power peak,from which a good correlation was observed.A more practical statistical analysis on the rise rate of current was processed,and a perfect logarithmic function was ***,we found that the main frequency was most possibly subjected to the electrical energy,especially the charging energy per *** results indicate that the charging energy per electrode less than 10 J could increase the main frequency to above 300 *** last,the main frequency could be reduced to 20 Hz when the charging energy of a single-electrode discharge was enhanced to over 4 *** study shall be helpful in developing a sparker seismic source and improving the performance for marine engineering exploration and geohazard assessment.

The near-seabed multichannel seismic exploration systems have yielded remarkable successes in marine geological disaster assessment,marine gas hydrate investigation,and deep-sea mineral exploration owing to their high vertical and horizontal ***,the quality of deep-towed seismic imaging hinges on accurate source-receiver positioning *** light of existing technical problems,we propose a novel array geometry inversion method tailored for high-resolution deep-towed multichannel seismic exploration *** method is independent of the attitude and depth sensors along a deep-towed seismic streamer,accounting for variations in seawater velocity and seabed slope *** approach decomposes the towed line array into multiline segments and characterizes its geometric shape using the line segment distance and pitch *** optimization parameters for seawater velocity and seabed slope angle,we establish an objective function based on the model,yielding results that align with objective *** the particle swarm optimization algorithm enables synchronous acquisition of optimized inversion results for array geometry and seawater *** validation using theoretical models and practical data verifies that our approach effectively enhances source and receiver positioning inversion *** algorithm exhibits robust stability and reliability,addressing uncertainties in seismic traveltime picking and complex seabed topography conditions.

Serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D Level Might Be a Useful Indicator of Disease Severity in Obese Children With Atopic Dermatitis:A Case-Control Study

Objective:To assess the relationship between the severity of atopic dermatitis(AD)in children of varying weight categories and their serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]***:The study population comprised 899 patients with AD and 854 age-and sex-matched *** Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H tests were used to assess differences between groups,and Spearman correlation analysis was used to test ***:The 25(OH)D level in the AD group was M(Q_(25),Q_(75)),24.0(19.7,28.4)ng/mL,which was significantly lower than the control group(26.4[23.6,29.9]ng/mL;Z=-3.34,P=0.001).25(OH)D levels in children with AD were negatively correlated with body mass index(r=-0.30,P<0.001),Severity scoring of Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD;r=-0.14,P<0.001),total immunoglobulin E(r=-0.13,P<0.001),and eosinophil(r=-0.08,P=0.017).There were statistically significant differences in 25(OH)D(H=18.46,P<0.001),total immunoglobulin E(H=9.13,P=0.010),eosinophil(H=67.17,P<0.001),and SCORAD(H=10.49,P=0.005)among groups with different body mass index *** 25(OH)D levels were 22.3(17.5,27.1)ng/mL in the overweight AD group and 22.3(17.6,25.7)ng/mL in the obese AD group,which were significantly lower than those in the normal-weight AD group(24.7[20.4,25.5]ng/mL;P=0.003,P=0.004).25(OH)D levels were negatively correlated with SCORAD in obese AD patients(r=-0.25,P=0.010).Conclusion:Vitamin D insufficient or deficient is obvious in children AD *** 25(OH)D levels in the overweight/obese AD group are significantly lower than those in the normal-weight AD *** D level is negatively correlated with SCORAD in obese children with AD.

To improve the nitriding resistance of Zr_(2)Fe alloy,the Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(1-x)Ni_(x))(x=0,0.15,0.3,0.5)alloys were prepared by magnetic levitation melting *** effects of Ni substitution for Fe on the phase structure,hydrogen and nitrogen absorption properties of the alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and p-c isotherm *** experimental results show that Ni substitution can effectively inhibit the formation of both α-Zr and ZrFe_(2) phases and promote the formation of C16 structure Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,causing Ni-substituted alloys to exhibit low nitrogen absorption rate and *** 623 K under 0.5 MPa nitrogen pressure,the nitrogen absorption capacity of Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy reaches to 0.8 mL/g,much lower than that of Zr_(2)Fe alloy(1.5 mL/g).Ni substitution decreases the crystal cell volume of the C_(16)Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,resulting in an increase in the hydrogen absorption equilibrium *** 623 K under 0.05 MPa hydrogen pressure,the hydrogen absorption capacity decreases from 1.46 wt%of Zr_(2)Fe alloy to 1.41 wt%of Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy.

Cancer stem cells(CSCs)play a crucial role in tumor initiation,recurrence,metastasis,and drug ***,the current understanding of CSCs in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remains *** a comprehensive analysis of the database,it has been observed that 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase(HMGCR),a critical enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis,is up-regulated in HCC tissues and liver ***,high expression of HMGCR is associated with a poor prognosis in patients with ***,HMGCR promotes the stemness and metastasis of HCC both in vitro and in *** screening various signaling pathway inhibitors,we have determined that HMGCR regulates stemness and metastasis by activating the Hedgehog signaling in ***,HMGCR positively correlates with the expression of the Smoothened receptor and facilitates the nuclear translocation of the transcriptional activator GLI family zinc finger *** of the Hedgehog pathway can reverse the stimulatory effects of HMGCR on stemness and metastasis in ***,simvastatin,an FDA-approved cholesterol-lowering drug,has been shown to inhibit stemness and metastasis of HCC by targeting *** together,our findings suggest that HMGCR promotes the regeneration and metastasis of HCC through the activation of Hedgehog signaling,and simvastatin holds the potential for clinical suppression of HCC metastasis.

An ultrafast framing camera with a pulse-dilation device,a microchannel plate(MCP)imager,and an electronic imaging system were *** camera achieved a temporal resolution of 10 ps by using a pulse-dilation device and gated MCP imager,and a spatial resolution of 100μm by using an electronic imaging system comprising combined magnetic *** spatial resolution characteristics of the camera were studied both theoretically and *** results showed that the camera with combined magnetic lenses reduced the field curvature and acquired a larger working area.A working area with a diameter of 53 mm was created by applying four magnetic lenses to the ***,the camera was used to detect the X-rays produced by the laser-targeting *** diagnostic results indicated that the width of the X-ray pulse was approximately 18 ps.

Background: Glycine dehydrogenase(GLDC) plays an important role in the initiation and proliferation of several human cancers. In this study, we aimed to detect the methylation status of GLDC promoter and its diagnostic value for hepatitis B virus-associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HBV-HCC). Methods: We enrolled 197 patients, 111 with HBV-HCC, 51 with chronic hepatitis B(CHB), and 35 healthy controls(HCs). The methylation status of GLDC promoter in peripheral mononuclear cells(PBMCs) was identified by methylation specific polymerase chain reaction(MSP). The mRNA expression was examined using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q PCR). Results: The methylation frequency of the GLDC promoter was significantly lower in HBV-HCC patients(27.0%) compared to that in CHB patients(68.6%) and HCs(74.3%)( P < 0.001). The methylated group had lower alanine aminotransferase level( P = 0.035) and lower rates of tumor node metastasis(TNM) Ⅲ/Ⅳ( P = 0.043) and T3/T4( P = 0.026). TNM stage was identified to be an independent factor for GLDC promoter methylation. GLDC mRNA levels in CHB patients and HCs were significantly lower than those in HBV-HCC patients( P = 0.022 and P < 0.001, respectively). GLDC mRNA levels were significantly higher in HBV-HCC patients with unmethylated GLDC promoters than those with methylated GLDC promoters( P = 0.003). The diagnostic accuracy of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) combined with GLDC promoter methylation for HBV-HCC was improved compared with that of AFP alone(AUC: 0.782 vs. 0.630, P < 0.001). In addition, GLDC promoter methylation was an independent predictor for overall survival of HBV-HCC patients( P = 0.038). Conclusions: The methylation frequency of GLDC promoter was lower in PBMCs from HBV-HCC patients than that from patients with CHB and HCs. The combination of AFP and GLDC promoter hypomethylation significantly improved the diagnostic accuracy of HBV-HCC.

The particle gradation of sand has a significant influence on its shear strength,yet the similarities and differences between the effects of continuous and gap grading have yet to be fully *** this study,the discrete element method(DEM)was used to simulate biaxial tests on granular samples that were both continuously graded and *** macroscopic analysis revealed that the shear strength of continuously graded sands increases initially and then decreases as the uniformity of particle size distribution *** the other hand,the lack of medium particles in gap-graded sands amplifies the difference in particle size between coarse and fine particles,leading to a decrease in shear ***,both continuous and gap gradings affect the internal packing structure of the particle assembly,which consequently affects particle stress distributions,contact forces,coordination numbers,stress-induced anisotropies,and contact force networks,thus having an impact on the macroscopic shear *** global uniformity of particle size distribution was unidirectionally affected by continuous grading,while gap grading had a locally bidirectional *** findings provide a better understanding of the effects of particle grading on the macroscopic shear strength of sands.
