Multiple-input multiple-output（MIMO） technology can provide high data rate and substantial *** time block code（STBC） provides diversity gain and obtains signal of better quality even under bad channel ***,it has no contribution to system average ***-bell laboratory layered space-time（VBLAST） improves peak data rate but leads to higher packet error rate（PER） at cell edge when the channel condition is *** get both higher system average throughput and cell edge throughput,an adaptive STBC-VBLAST transmission for downlink mobile WiMAX system is proposed and analyzed through system-level simulation in this *** proposed approach compares the effective capacity of two candidate MIMO modes（STBC or VBLAST） and reports its decision to the base station with only one extra signaling *** simulation results show that the proposed approach can attain a balance between STBC and ***,the cell throughput approximates that of pure VBLAST and the cell edge throughput is close to that of pure STBC.

BACKGROUND MicroRNA 34c(miR-34c)has been reported to be associated with malignant types of cancer,however,it remains unknown whether miR-34c is involved in chemoresistance in gastric cancer(GC).AIM To investigate the effect of miR-34c and its upstream transcription factor E2F1 on paclitaxel combined with cisplatin resistance in GC *** Paired GC tissues and adjacent normal tissues were randomly sampled from 74 GC ***-34c and E2F1 were detected by real-time quantitative PCR(qPCR)and Western *** addition,the drug resistance of GC cells to paclitaxel and cisplatin was induced by concentration gradient increasing methods,and changes in miR-34c and E2F1 during this process were ***,E2F1 and miR-34c overexpression or underexpression vectors were constructed and transfected into drug-resistant GC *** was employed to test the sensitivity of cells to paclitaxel combined with cisplatin,qPCR was adopted to detect the expression of miR-34c,Western blot was applied to detect the expression levels of E2F1,drug resistance-related proteins and apoptosis-related proteins,and flow cytometry was used for the determination of cell apoptosis and cell cycle *** E2F1 was overexpressed while miR-34c was underexpressed in *** inducing GC cells to be resistant to paclitaxel and cisplatin,E2F1 expression increased while miR-34c expression *** silencing E2F1 and overexpressing miR-34c could increase the sensitivity of drug-resistant GC cells to paclitaxel combined with cisplatin,promote cell apoptosis and inhibit cell *** which,silencing E2F1 could reduce the expression of drug resistance-related proteins and apoptosis-related proteins,while over-expression of miR-34c could upregulate the expression of apoptosis-related proteins without affecting the expression of MDR-1,MRP and other drug resistance-related *** experiments demonstrated that inhibiting miR-34c could significantly weaken the sensi

BACKGROUND Lung endometriosis is an extremely rare gynecological *** literature reports suggest that the majority of patients will present with only generic symptoms,such as hemoptysis,pneumothorax,and hemopneumothorax,which often leads to *** date,there are 18 case reports of lung endometriosis that describe the clinical manifestation,imaging changes,treatment,and prognosis of the *** provide further insights into this rare disease,we present a new case report and a brief review of pulmonary *** SUMMARY We report here about a 19-year-old woman who was admitted to the hospital for repeated catamenial hemoptysis over a 3-mo *** tomography(CT)imaging during menstruation revealed patchy high-density shadows,approximately 0.5 cm3 in size,in the right middle lobe of the *** patient’s hemoptysis and changes in the CT scans resolved after *** right middle lobectomy,right lower lung repair,and closed thoracic drainage were *** histopathology confirmed lung *** was no recurrence of symptoms at the 6 mo *** We propose diagnosing lung endometriosis by thoroughly taking reproductive history,clinical details,imaging,and histopathology followed by treatment with surgical resection.

Background The effective orifice area(EOA)is utilized to characterize the hemodynamic performance of the transcatheter heart valve(THV).However,there is no consensus on EOA measurement of self-expanding *** aimed to compare two echocardiographic methods for EOA measurement following transcatheter self-expanding aortic valve *** EOA was calculated according to the continuity *** methods were *** Method 1 and Method 2,the left ventricular outflow tract diameter(LVOTd)was measured at the entry of the prosthesis(from trailing-to-leading edge)and proximal to the prosthetic valve leaflets(from trailing-toleading edge),*** velocity-time integral(VTI)of the LVOT(VTILVOT)was recorded by pulsed-wave Doppler(PW)from apical *** region of the PW sampling should match that of the LVOTd measurement with precise *** mean transvalvular pressure gradient(MG)and VTI of THV was measured by Continuous wave *** A total of 113 consecutive patients were *** mean age was 77.2±5.5 years,and 72 patients(63.7%)were ***1 with the use of Method 1 was larger than EOA2(1.56±0.39 cm2 vs.1.48±0.41 cm2,P=0.001).MG correlated better with the indexed EOA1(EOAI1)(r=-0.701,P<0.001)than EOAI2(r=-0.645,P<0.001).According to EOAI(EOAI≤0.65 cm2/m2,respectively),the proportion of sever prosthesis-patient mismatch with the use of EOA1 was lower than EOA2(12.4%vs.21.2%,P<0.05).Compared with EOA2,EOA1 had lower interobserver and intra-observer variability(intra:0.5%±17%vs.3.8%±22%,P<0.001;inter:1.0%±9%vs.3.5%±11%,P<0.001).Conclusions For transcatheter self-expanding valve EOA measurement,LVOTd should be measured in the entry of the prosthesis stent(from trailing-to-leading edge),and VTILVOT should match that of the LVOTd measurement with precise localization.

A three-dimensional(3D)thermomechanical vibration model is developed for rotating pre-twisted functionally graded(FG)microbeams according to the refined shear deformation theory(RSDT)and the modified couple stress theory(MCST).The material properties are assumed to follow a power-law distribution along the chordwise *** model introduces one axial stretching variable and four transverse deflection variables including two pure bending components and two pure shear *** complex modal analysis and assumed mode methods are used to solve the governing equations of motion under different boundary conditions(BCs).Several examples are presented to verify the effectiveness of the developed *** coupling the slenderness ratio,gradient index,rotation speed,and size effect with the pre-twisted angle,the effects of these factors on the thermomechanical vibration of the microbeam with different BCs are *** is found that with the increase in the pre-twisted angle,the critical slenderness ratio and gradient index corresponding to the thermal instability of the microbeam increase,while the critical material length scale parameter(MLSP)and rotation speed *** sensitivity of the fundamental frequency to temperature increases with the increasing slenderness ratio and gradient index,and decreases with the other increasing ***,the size effect can suppress the dynamic stiffening effect and enhance the Coriolis ***,the mode transition is quantitatively demonstrated by a modal assurance criterion(MAC).

Cardiac resident macrophages (CRMs) are the main population of cardiac immune cells. The role of these cells in regeneration, functional remodeling, and repair after cardiac injury is always the focus of research. However, in recent years, their dynamic changes and contributions in physiological states have a significant attention. CRMs have specific phenotypes and functions in different cardiac chambers or locations of the heart and at different stages. They further show specific differentiation and development processes. The present review will summarize the new progress about the spatiotemporal distribution, potential developmental regulation, and their roles in cardiac development and aging as well as the translational potential of CRMs on cardiac diseases. Of course, the research tools for CRMs, their respective advantages and disadvantages, and key issues on CRMs will further be discussed.

There are lots of researches on fixture layout optimization for large thin-walled *** researches focus on the positioning problem,i.e.,optimizing the positions of a constant number of ***,how to determine the number of fixtures is *** most cases,the number of fixtures located on large thin-walled parts is determined based on engineering experience,which leads to huge fixture number and extra ***,this paper constructs an optimization model to minimize the number of *** constraints are set in the optimization model to ensure that the part deformation is within the surface profile *** addition,the assembly gap between two parts is also *** conduct the optimization,this paper develops an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)algorithm by integrating the shrinkage factor and adaptive inertia *** the algorithm,particles are encoded according to the fixture *** dimension of the particle is assigned to a sub-region by constraining the optional position range of each fixture to improve the optimization ***,a case study on ship curved panel assembly is provided to prove that our method can optimize the number of fixtures while meeting the assembly quality *** research proposes a method to optimize the number of fixtures,which can reduce the number of fixtures and achieve deformation control at the same time.
