Interfacial water molecules are the most important participants in the hydrogen evolution reaction(heR).hence,understanding the behavior and role that interfacial water plays will ultimately reveal the heR ***,investigating interfacial water is extremely challenging owing to the interference caused by bulk water molecules and complexity of the interfacial ***,the behaviors of interfacial water in different cationic electrolytes on Pd surfaces were investigated by the electrochemistry,in situ core-shell nanostructure enhanced Raman spectroscopy and theoretical simulation *** spectral evidence reveals a red shift in the frequency and a decrease in the intensity of interfacial water as the potential is shifted in the positively *** comparing the different cation electrolyte systems at a given potential,the frequency of the interfacial water peak increases in the specified order:Li+he structure of interfacial water was optimized by adjusting the radius,valence,and concentration of cation to form the two-H down *** unique interfacial water structure will improve the charge transfer efficiency between the water and electrode further enhancing the heR ***,local cation tuning strategies can be used to improve the heR performance by optimizing the interfacial water structure.

Double bubbles near a rigid wall surface collapse to produce a significant jet impact,with potential applications in surface cleaning and ultrasonic ***,the dynamic behaviors of near-wall bubbles remain *** this study,we investigate the jetting of a near-wall bubble induced by another tandem *** define two dimensionless standoff distances,γ_(1),γ_(2),to represent the distances from the center of the near-wall bubble to the rigid wall and the center of controlling bubble to the center of the near-wall bubble,*** observations reveal three distinct jetting regimes for the near-wall bubble:transferred jetting,double jetting,and directed *** further investigate the jetting mechanism,numerical simulations are conducted using the compressibleInterFoam solver in the open-source framework of OpenFOAM.A detailed analysis shows that the transferred jet flow is caused by the pinch-off resulting from the axial contraction velocity at the lower end of the near-wall bubble being greater than the vertical contraction velocity,leading to a maximum jet velocity of 682.58 m/*** the case of double jetting,intense stretching between the controlling bubble and the wall leads to a pinch-off and a double jetting with a maximum velocity of 1096.29 m/*** directed jet flow is caused by the downward movement of the high-pressure region generated by the premature collapse of the controlling bubble,with the maximum jet velocity reaching 444.62 m/s.

Background:Urbanization in China is rapidly proceeding,but rural-to-urban migration and its association with overweight and obesity is not well *** study aimed to explore the age at arrival,duration of migration,and the corresponding association with overweight/obesity in Yi migrants in ***:A cross-sectional study was conducted in rural and urban areas in 2015 in Sichuan province,*** characteristics,lifestyle factors,and anthropometry were *** linear regression models were used to assess the effect of duration of migration(1-10,11-20,21-30,and>30 years)on body mass index(BMI).Multi-variable logistic regression was used to examine the association between duration of migration and overweight/obesity(BMI≥25 kg/m^(2)).Results:A total of 3056 Yi people(1894 Yi farmers and 1162 Yi migrants)aged 20 to 80 years were *** adjusting for age,sex,and other potential confounders,Yi migrants had 1.71 kg/m^(2)(95%confidence interval[CI]:1.36-2.06)higher BMI and a 2.13-fold(95%CI:1.71-2.65)higher risk of overweight/obesity than Yi *** Yi migrants,stratified by age at arrival,no significant association between duration of migration and overweight/obesity was observed in those who were 0 to 20 years old at *** comparison,in migrants>20 years old at arrival,compared with the reference group(1-10 years),long-term migration(>30 years)was found to be associated with overweight/obesity after adjustment(odds ratio:1.85,95%CI:1.04-3.29).Conclusions:Yi migrants were observed to have greater risk of overweight/obesity than Yi *** Yi migrants,the risk of overweight/obesity increased according to the duration of migration,especially in those who were older upon their arrival.

Vacancy engineering and Mott-Schottky heterostructure can accelerate charge transfer,regulate adsorption energy of reaction intermediates,and provide additional active sites,which are regarded as valid means for improving catalytic ***,the underlying mechanism of synergistic regulation of interfacial charge transfer and optimization of electrocatalytic activity by combining vacancy and Mott-Schottky junction remains ***,the growth of a bifunctional NiCo/NiCoP Mott-Schottky electrode with abundant phosphorus vacancies on foam nickel(NF)has been synthesized through continuous phosphating and reduction *** obtained NiCo/NiCoP heterojunctions show remarkable OER and heR activities,and the overpotentials for OER and heR are as low as 117 and 60 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2) in 1 mol/L KOH,***,as both the cathode and anode of overall water splitting,the voltage of the bifunctional NiCo/NiCoP electrocatalyst is 1.44 V at 10 mA/cm^(2),which are far exceeding the benchmark commercial *** theoretical calculation results confirm that the phosphorus vacancies and build-in electric field can effectively accelerate ion and electron transfer between NiCo alloy and NiCoP semiconductor,tailor the electronic structure of the metal centers and lower the Gibbs free energy of the ***,the unique self-supported integrated structure is beneficial to facilitate the exposure of the active site,avoid catalyst shedding,thus improving the activity and structural stability of NiCo/*** study provides an avenue for the controllable synthesis and performance optimization of Mott-Schottky electrocatalysts.
