Routing protocol for wireless quantum multi-hop mesh backbone network based on partially entangled GHZ state

Quantum multi-hop teleportation is important in the field of quantum communication. In this study, we propose a quantum multi-hop communication model and a quantum routing protocol with multi- hop teleportation for wireless mesh backbone networks. Based on an analysis of quantum multi-hop protocols, a partially entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger （GHZ） state is selected as the quantum channel for the proposed protocol. Both quantum and classical wireless channels exist between two neighboring nodes along the route. With the proposed routing protocol, quantum information can be transmitted hop by hop from the source node to the destination node. Based on multi-hop telepor- tation based on the partially entangled GHZ state, a quantum route established with the minimum number of hops. The difference between our routing protocol and the classical one is that in the for- mer, the processes used to find a quantum route and establish quantum channel entanglement occur simultaneously. The Bell state measurement results of each hop are piggybacked to quantum route finding information. This method reduces the total number of packets and the magnitude of air inter- face delay. The deduction of the establishment of a quantum channel between source and destination is also presented here. The final success probability of quantum multi-hop teleportation in wireless mesh backbone networks was simulated and analyzed. Our research shows that quantum multi-hop teleportation in wireless mesh backbone networks through a partially entangled GHZ state is feasible.

TRAIL and Celastrol Combinational Treatment Suppresses Proliferation, Migration, and Invasion of Human Glioblastoma Cells via Targeting Wnt/β-catenin Signaling Pathway

Objective To investigate the mechanistic basis for the anti-proliferation and anti-invasion effect of tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-induced ligand(TRAIL)and celastrol combination treatment(TCCT)in glioblastoma *** Cell counting kit-8 was used to detect the effects of different concentrations of celastrol(0-16µmol/L)and TRAIL(0-500 ng/mL)on the cell viability of glioblastoma cells.U87 cells were randomly divided into 4 groups,namely control,TRAIL(TRAIL 100 ng/mL),Cel(celastrol 0.5µmol/L)and TCCT(TRAIL 100 ng/mL+celastrol 0.5µmol/L).Cell proliferation,migration,and invasion were detected by colony formation,wound healing,and Transwell assays,*** reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting were performed to assess the levels of epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)markers(zona occludens,N-cadherin,vimentin,zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox,Slug,and β-catenin).Wnt pathway was activated by lithium chloride(LiCl,20 mol/L)and the mechanism for action of TCCT was *** Celastrol and TRAIL synergistically inhibited the proliferation,migration,invasion,and EMT of U87 cells(P<0.01).TCCT up-regulated the expression of GSK-3β and down-regulated the expression of β-catenin and its associated proteins(P<0.05 or P<0.01),including c-Myc,Cyclin-D1,and matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-*** addition,LiCl,an activator of the Wnt signaling pathway,restored the inhibitory effects of TCCT on the expression of β-catenin and its downstream genes,as well as the migration and invasion of glioblastoma cells(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusions Celastrol and TRAIL can synergistically suppress glioblastoma cell migration,invasion,and EMT,potentially through inhibition of Wnt/β-catenin *** underlies a novel mechanism of action for TCCT as an effective therapy for glioblastoma.

Filling the gaps in icosahedral superatomic metal clusters

Chemically modified superatoms have emerged as promising candidates in the new periodic table, in which Au13and its doped M_nAu13-nhave been widely studied. However, their important counterpart, Ag13artificial element, has not yet been synthesized. In this work, we report the synthesis of Ag13nanoclusters using strong chelating ability and rigid ligands, that fills the gaps in the icosahedral superatomic metal clusters. After further doping Ag13template with different degrees of Au atoms, we gained insight into the evolution of their optical properties. Theoretical calculations show that the kernel metal doping can modulate the transition of the excited-state electronic structure, and the electron transfer process changes from local excitation（LE） to charge transfer（CT） to LE. This study not only enriches the families of artificial superatoms, but also contributes to the understanding of the electronic states of superatomic clusters.

A new liquid membrane diffusion model for characterizing the adsorption kinetics of europium by using a continuous measurement of adsorption platform

To explore the kinetic adsorption under continuous and nonequilibrium states, an integration of continuous measurement and adsorption platform kinetics method was proposed, which was initially called the ICM-AP kinetics method, and a corresponding kinetic adsorption experimental method was developed. Adsorption experiments of europium(Eu) on Ca-bentonite,Na-bentonite, and the D231 cation exchange resin were performed using the ICM-AP kinetics method and continuous measurements. Because the kinetic experimental results observed in this study were different from those of traditional batch adsorption data, pseudo-first-order or pseudo-second-order kinetic models were unsuitable for fitting the experimental ***, a liquid membrane diffusion(LMD) model was developed based on the assumption of simultaneous adsorption/desorption to discuss the mechanism of kinetic adsorption. The kinetic adsorption mechanism was also studied by using *** results indicated that the proposed adsorption model can fit the experimental data more suitably, and the adsorption/desorption behaviors of Eu on bentonite and the D231 resin were simultaneously observed, suggesting that the adsorption kinetics of Eu(Ⅲ) was mainly dominated by hydrated Eu(Ⅲ) ions on the liquid membrane.

Association of prealbumin with short-term and long-term outcomes in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

BACKGROUND Prealbumin is considered to be a useful indicator of nutritional status. Furthermore, it has been found to be associated with severities and prognosis of a range of diseases. However, limited data on the association of baseline prealbumin level with outcomes of patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI) are *** We analyzed 2313 patients admitted for acute STEMI between October 2013 and December 2020. In-hospital outcomes and mortality during the 49 months(interquartile range: 26–73 months) follow-up period were compared between patients with the low prealbumin level(< 170 mg/L) and those with the high prealbumin level(≥ 170 mg/L).RESULTS A total of 114 patients(4.9%) died during hospitalization. After propensity score matching, patients with the low prealbumin level than those with the high prealbumin level experienced higher incidences of heart failure with Killip class Ⅲ(9.9%vs. 4.4%, P = 0.034), cardiovascular death(8.4% vs. 3.4%, P = 0.035) and the composite of major adverse cardiovascular events(19.2%vs. 10.3%, P = 0.012). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified that the low prealbumin level(< 170 mg/L) was an independent predictor of in-hospital major adverse cardiovascular events(odds ratio = 1.918, 95% CI: 1.250–2.942, P = 0.003). The cutoff value of prealbumin level for predicting in-hospital death was 170 mg/L(area under the curve = 0.703, 95% CI: 0.651–0.754, P< 0.001;sensitivity = 0.544, specificity = 0.794). However, after multivariate adjustment of possible confounders, baseline prealbumin level(170 mg/L) was no longer independently associated with 49-month cardiovascular death. Validation and performance of three scoring systems for predicting primary non-function and early allograft failure after liver transplantation

Background: Primary non-function(PNF) and early allograft failure(EAF) after liver transplantation(LT) seriously affect patient outcomes. In clinical practice, effective prognostic tools for early identifying recipients at high risk of PNF and EAF were urgently needed. Recently, the Model for Early Allograft Function(MEAF), PNF score by King's College(King-PNF) and Balance-and-Risk-Lactate(BAR-Lac) score were developed to assess the risks of PNF and EAF. This study aimed to externally validate and compare the prognostic performance of these three scores for predicting PNF and EAF. Methods: A retrospective study included 720 patients with primary LT between January 2015 and December 2020. MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac scores were compared using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) and the net reclassification improvement(NRI) and integrated discrimination improvement(IDI) analyses. Results: Of all 720 patients, 28(3.9%) developed PNF and 67(9.3%) developed EAF in 3 months. The overall early allograft dysfunction(EAD) rate was 39.0%. The 3-month patient mortality was 8.6% while 1-year graft-failure-free survival was 89.2%. The median MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac scores were 5.0(3.5–6.3),-2.1(-2.6 to-1.2), and 5.0(2.0–11.0), respectively. For predicting PNF, MEAF and King-PNF scores had excellent area under curves(AUCs) of 0.872 and 0.891, superior to BAR-Lac(AUC = 0.830). The NRI and IDI analyses confirmed that King-PNF score had the best performance in predicting PNF while MEAF served as a better predictor of EAD. The EAF risk curve and 1-year graft-failure-free survival curve showed that King-PNF was superior to MEAF and BAR-Lac scores for stratifying the risk of EAF. Conclusions: MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac were validated as practical and effective risk assessment tools of PNF. King-PNF score outperformed MEAF and BAR-Lac in predicting PNF and EAF within 6 months. BAR-Lac score had a huge advantage in the prediction for PNF without post-transplant variables. Proper use

Analysis of amino acid constituents of gallstones

IM To seek effective drugs to dissolve bilirubin, glycoprotein and black stones and better lithotriptics for cholesterol stones, and study the amino acid constituents of gallstones.METHODS According to the characteristics of infrared spectrum and the contents of bilirubin tested by semiquantitative chemical analysis, 30 of 148 cases of gallstones were selected and divided into 5 groups. Amino acids of the 30 cases were detected by high speed chromatography.RESULTS The quantity of amino acids in black stones was the highest (2269mg/g) and that of pure cholesterol stones was the lowest, only 14mg/g in a case. In five groups of gallstones, the contents of amino acids were: black stone > mixed bilirubin stone and glucoprotein stone > mixed cholesterol stone > pure cholesterol stone. The proportions were: 9595∶2902 and 2805∶578∶1. Aliphatic amino acids accounted for about 50% of the total amino acids in gallstones and glycine 153% of the total amount of 17 kinds of amino acids.CONCLUSION In mixed stones, the higher level of bilirubin, the higher contents of amino acids. The acidic amino acids of bilirubin stones were relatively higher than those of cholesterol stones.
