An efficient quantum proactive incremental learning algorithm

In scenarios where a large amount of data needs to be learned, incremental learning can make full use of old knowledge, significantly reduce the computational cost of the overall learning process, and maintain high performance. In this paper, taking the MaxCut problem as our example, we introduce the idea of incremental learning into quantum computing, and propose a Quantum Proactive Incremental Learning algorithm(QPIL). Instead of a one-off training of quantum circuit, QPIL contains a multi-phase training on gradually-increased subgraphs of all vertices, proactively reducing large-scale problems to smaller ones to solve in steps, providing an efficient solution for MaxCut. Specifically, some vertices and corresponding edges are randomly selected for training to obtain optimized parameters of the quantum circuit at first. Then, in each incremental phase, the remaining vertices and corresponding edges are gradually added and the parameters obtained from the previous phase are reused in the parameter initialization of the current phase. We perform experiments on 120 different small-scale graphs, and it shows that QPIL performs superior to prevalent quantum and classical baselines in terms of approximation ratio(AR), time cost, anti-forgetting, and solving stability. In particular, QPIL's AR surpasses 20% of mainstream quantum baselines, and the time cost is less than 1/5 of them. The idea of QPIL is expected to inspire efficient and high-quality solutions in large-scale Max Cut and other combinatorial optimization problems.

Combining water electrolysis and rechargeable battery technologies into a single system holds great promise for the co-production of hydrogen （H2） and ***,the design and development of such systems is still in its ***,an integrated hydrogen-oxygen （O2）-electricity co-production system featuring a bipolar membrane-assisted decoupled electrolyzer and a Na-Zn ion battery was established with sodium nickelhexacyanoferrate （NaNiHCF） and Zn2+/Zn as dual redox *** decoupled electrolyzer enables to produce H2and O2in different time and space with almost 100%Faradaic efficiency at 100 mA ***,the charged NaNiHCF and Zn electrodes after the electrolysis processes formed a Na-Zn ion battery,which can generate electricity with an average cell voltage of 1.75 V at 10 m A *** connecting Si photovoltaics with the modular electrochemical device,a well-matched solar driven system was built to convert the intermittent solar energy into hydrogen and electric energy with a solar to hydrogen-electricity efficiency of 16.7%,demonstrating the flexible storage and conversion of renewables.

As an attractive host for the production of heterologous secretroy proteins, Bacillus subtilis is capable of secre-ting functional proteins directly into the culture medium. But the secretion of high level of proteases is a major limi-tation. Sucrose-inducible foreign protein expression and secretion system may he a solution to this problem. Levansucrase is a sucrose-inducible secretory enzyme from Bacillus subtlis, which is encoded by sacB *** gene has the regulatory region required for sucrose induction and the signal peptide sequence for efficient se-cretion, together called sacR. Furthermore, there exists a family of regulatory factors, such as degQ gene productthat can interact with the regulatory region to enhance the expression of sacB from 10- to 100-fold at the transcrip-tional level. So, regarding the sacB regulatory region, it is feasible to develop a set of sucrose-inducible vectors forintracellular expression of heterogeny proteins. Encoding specificity theory predicts most effective recall by the original conditions at encoding, while generalisation endows recall flexibly under circumstances which deviate from the originals. The CA1 regions have been implicated in memory and generalisation but whether and which locally separated mechanisms are involved is not clear. We report here that fear memory is quickly formed, but generalisation develops gradually over 24 h. Generalisation but not fear memory is impaired by inhibiting ipsilateral(ips) or contralateral(con) CA1, and by optogenetic silencing of the ips CA1 projections onto con CA1. By contrast, in vivo f EPSP recordings reveal that ips CA1-con CA1 synaptic efficacy is increased with delay over 24 h when generalisation is formed but it is unchanged if generalisation is disrupted. Direct exciting of ips CA1-con CA1 synapses using chemogenetic h M3 Dq facilitates generalisation formation. Thus, rapid generalisation is an active process depended on bilateral CA1 regions, and encoded by gradual synaptic learning in ips CA1-con CA1 circuit.

Respiratory rate monitoring is of great significance in pig healthy breeding for the early detection and timely prevention of respiratory diseases. Humidity sensing is an important noncontact method to monitor pig respiration, which does not cause direct harm to pigs and meets the requirements of animal welfare. This paper proposes a humidity sensor based on graphene oxide wrapped-silica microspheres （GO@SiO2）. First, the sensor shows fast response/recovery performances of0.24/0.73 s. Experiments demonstrate that the wrapped microsphere structure can inhibit water aggregation. It is speculated that the wrapped microsphere structure can inhibit the stacking of GO, and its curved surface can promote the evaporation of water molecules. Second, the sensor shows a high sensitivity of 1.2%/%RH–4.2%/%RH in 11%–95%RH range. This can be attributed to different sensing mechanisms, from hopping transport to increasing ion transport, leading to a significant change in the sensor’s resistance. Third, the sensor shows selectivity to water molecules due to the hydrophilic characteristic of GO and the significant increase in conductivity by ion transport. Finally, the sensor is applied to realize the respiratory rate monitoring of adult pigs and piglets.

This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFRP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs.

Effect of pouring time on microstructure and mechanical properties of centrifugal cast Ti-46Al alloy tubes

The grain size of TiAl alloy castings prepared by traditional casting process is coarse, thus showing poor mechanical properties. In this study, a new type of high performance Ti-46Al alloy tube prepared by vacuum centrifugal casting technology was introduced. This research comprehensively examined the influence of pouring time on the microstructure and mechanical performance of the castings, employing both experimental approaches and ProCast simulation methodologies. The findings indicate that prolonging the pouring time facilitates a microstructural evolution from coarse columnar grains to refined equiaxed grains. Under the condition of pouring temperature of 1,600 °C, rotation speed of 800 r·min-1and pouring time of 6 s, the tensile strength of Ti-46Al alloy at room temperature reaches 650 MPa, and the tensile strength at 800 °C reaches 705 MPa, which is significantly higher than that of traditional as-cast Ti-Al alloy.

Lithium-sulfur （Li-S） battery,as a promising next-generation high-energy-density battery,suffers from lithium polysulfides（LPSs） shuttle and Li dendrites *** crystalline framework-based membranes as separator can effectively absorb and restrain LPSs but without precise structural design principal exploration and mechanism ***,bio-inspired 1D oriented lithium-ion transport channels with molecular negatively charged PO3（-1） have been developed in hybrid tetrazole frameworks for promoting the transmission of Li+*** theoretical calculations and in situ spectroscopy demonstrated the higher binding energy and inhibited diffusion of LPSs in *** assembled PP@PO3Janus separator in Li-S coin cell delivered a high initial capacity of 1410.9 mAh g-1at 0.1 C and a low attenuation rate of 0.038%per cycle over 500 cycles at 5 ***,the high capacities of 862,542 and 409 mAh g-1based on high-sulfur-loading cathodes of 2.6,3.8 and 5.0 mg cm-2at0.5 C were achieved,***,the punch battery of PO3@PP separator with S-cathode of 1.2 mg cm-2has been developed for demonstrating its potentials commercial application,which displays impressive capacity of 873.4 mAh g-1with the retention of～78.9%over 50 cycles.
