A method of identifying positron/electron species from the cosmic rays was studied in the DArk Matter Particle Explorer(DAMPE)*** there is no onboard magnet on the satellite,the different features imposed by the geomagnetic field on these two species were exploited for the particle *** of this method to the simulation of on-orbit electrons/positrons/protons and the real flight data proves that separately measuring the CR positrons/electrons with DAMPE is feasible,though limited by the field of view for the present observation *** analysis on the positron flux with this method can be expected in the future.

Divergence of gene expression and alter native splicing is a crucial driving force in the evolution of species;to date, however the molecular mechanism remains unclear. Hybrids of closely related species provide a suitable model to analyze allele-specific expressi on (ASE) and allele-specific alter native splicing (ASS). Analysis of ASE and ASS can uncover the differences in cis-regulatory elements between closely related species, while eliminating interferenee of trans-regulatory elements. Here, we provide a detailed characterization of ASE and ASS from 19 and 10 transcriptome datasets across five tissues from reciprocal-cross hybrids of horsex don key (mule/hi nny) and cattlexyak (dzo), respectively. Results showed that 4.8%-8.7% and 10.8%-16.7% of genes exhibited ASE and ASS, respectively. Notably, IncRNAs and pseudogenes were more likely to show ASE than protein-coding genes. In addition, genes showing ASE and ASS in mule/hinny were found to be involved in the regulation of muscle strength, whereas those of dzo were involved in high-altitude adaptati on. In con clusi on, our study dem on strated that explorati on of genes showing ASE and ASS in hybrids of closely related species is feasible for species evolution research.

aim:Intracoronary murmur results from turbulent flow due to coronary artery *** study evaluated the diagnostic performance of a method for acoustic analysis of turbulent murmur caused by coronary artery stenosis in coronary artery disease(CAD)in Chinese ***:Patients admitted to the cardiovascular department of the Sixth Medical Center of the Chinese People’s liberation Army General Hospital between September 2021 and June 2022 for elective coronary angiography were prospectively enrolled.A digital electronic stethoscope was used to record heart sounds before *** coronary angiography(QCA)served as the“gold standard”for CAD diagnosis to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the acoustic analysis method for ***:A total of 452 patients had complete QCA and heart sound *** final interpretation results of the acoustic analysis method indicated 310 disease cases and 142 normal *** the cut-off values of coronary artery diameter stenosis from 30%to 50%,70%,and 90%increased the sensitivity and NPV of the acoustic analysis method;the sensitivity was 75.6%,81.9%,83.3%,and 85.7%,respectively;the NPV was 33.1%,57.0%,69.7%,and 88.0%,respectively;the specificity and PPV decreased(specificity of 75.8%,70.4%,51.0%,and 37.5%,respectively;PPV of 95.2%,89.0%,69.4%,and 32.9%,respectively);and the AUC values were 0.757,0.762,0.672,and 0.616,*** sensitivity of the acoustic analysis method for one-vessel disease was 86.6%when the cut-off value was 50%.The sensitivity for identifying left anterior descending coronary artery lesions was best,at 90.7%.The sensitivity for identifying isolated coronary artery branch lesions was 66.7%,whereas the sensitivity for identifying three-vessel disease in multi-vessel coronary artery lesions was better,at 82.9%.Conclusion:Acoustic analysis of turbulent murmur caused by coronary artery stenosis for diagnosis of CAD may have favorable performance in the Chinese populat

Studies have found a U-shaped relationship between sleep duration and chronic kidney disease(CKD)risk,but limited research evaluated the association of reallocating excessive sleep to other behavior with *** included 104538 participants from the nationwide cohort of the Risk Evaluation of Cancers in Chinese Diabetic Individuals:A Longitudinal Study,with self-reported time of daily-life *** isotemporal substitution models,we found that substituting 1 h of sleeping with sitting,walking,or moderate-to-vigorous physical activity was associated with a lower CKD ***-time physical activity displacement was associated with a greater prevalence reduction than occupational physical activity in working *** stratified analysis,a lower CKD prevalence related to substitution toward physical activity was found in long *** pronounced correlations were observed in long sleepers with diabetes than in those with prediabetes,and they benefited from other behavior substitutions toward a more active *** U-shaped association between sleep duration and CKD prevalence implied the potential effects of insufficient and excessive sleep on the kidneys,in which the pernicious link with oversleep could be reversed by time reallocation to physical *** divergence in the predicted effect on CKD following time reallocation to behavior of different domains and intensities and in subpopulations with diverse metabolic statuses underlined the importance of optimizing sleeping patterns and adjusting integral behavioral composition.

China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)is ideal for studying solar,geo-,and supernova neutrinos.A precise measurement of the cosmic-ray background is essential in proceeding with R&D research for these MeV-scale neutrino *** a 1-ton prototype detector for the Jinping Neutrino Experiment(JNE),we detected 264 high-energy muon events from a 645.2-day dataset from the first phase of CJPL(CJPL-I),reconstructed their directions,and measured the cosmic-ray muon flux to be (3.53±0.22_stat.±0.07_sys.)×-10^(-10)cm^(-2).The observed angular distributions indicate the leakage of cosmic-ray muon background and agree with simulation data accounting for Jinping mountain's terrain.A survey of muon fluxes at different laboratory locations,considering both those situated under mountains and those down mine shafts,indicates that the flux at the former is generally a factor of (4±2) larger than at the latter,with the same vertical *** study provides a convenient back-of-the-envelope estimation for the muon flux of an underground experiment.

To verify the performance of the neutron total cross-sectional spectrometer, the neutron total cross section of carbon is initially measured in the energy range of 1 eV to 20 MeV using the time-of-flight method. The measurement is performed at the Back-n white neutron source with a 76-m time-of-flight path using the China Spallation Neutron Source. A multilayer fast fission chamber with 235U and 238U is employed as the neutron detector. The diameter and thickness of the natural graphite sample are 70 mm and 40 mm, respectively. Signal waveforms are collected using a data acquisition system. Off-line data processing was used to obtain the neutron time-of-flight spectra and transmissions. The uncertainty of the counting statistics is generally approximately 3% for each bin in the energy range of 1–20 MeV. It is determined that the results for the neutron total cross section of carbon obtained using ^235U cells are in good agreement with the results obtained using 238U cells within limits of statistical uncertainty. Moreover, the measured total cross sections show good agreement with the broadening evaluated data.
