Recently,one of the main challenges facing the smart grid is insufficient computing resources and intermittent energy supply for various distributed components(such as monitoring systems for renewable energy power stations).To solve the problem,we propose an energy harvesting based task scheduling and resource management framework to provide robust and low-cost edge computing services for smart ***,we formulate an energy consumption minimization problem with regard to task offloading,time switching,and resource allocation for mobile devices,which can be decoupled and transformed into a typical knapsack ***,solutions are derived by two different ***,we deploy renewable energy and energy storage units at edge servers to tackle intermittency and instability ***,we design an energy management algorithm based on sampling average approximation for edge computing servers to derive the optimal charging/discharging strategies,number of energy storage units,and renewable energy *** simulation results show the efficiency and superiority of our proposed framework.

Background:Balloon catheter isolation is a promising auxiliary method for thermal ablation treatment of liver cancer. We aimed to explore the safety and effectiveness of balloon catheter isolation-assisted ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) in treating liver cancer in difficult anatomical ***:Data of 132 patients with 145 difficult-site liver cancer treated with ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA were retrospectively analyzed. Participants were classified into the isolation (n=40)and non-isolation (n=92) groups based on whether the patients were treated using a balloon catheter prior to ablation. The major complication rates, local tumor residuals (LTR), and tumor follow-up for local tumor progression (LTP) at 6 and 12 months post-ablation were compared between the two ***:The rates of major postoperative complications did not significantly differ between the isolation and non-isolation groups (2.5%vs. 4.3%, P=0.609). The postoperative LTR rates were significantly different between the isolation and non-isolation groups (4.8%vs. 17.5%, P=0.032). Balloon catheter isolation [odds ratio (OR)=0.225, 95%confidence interval (CI):0.085–0.595, P=0.009] and tumor diameter(OR=2.808, 95%CI:1.186–6.647, P=0.019) were identified as independent factors influencing LTR *** cumulative LTP rates at 6 and 12 months after ablation showed no significant differences between the isolation and non-isolation groups (2.6%vs. 7.9%, P=0.661;4.9%vs. 9.8%, P=0.676, respectively).Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed that tumor diameter was an independent risk factor for cumulative LTP rate (OR=3.445, 95%CI:1.406–8.437, P=0.017).Conclusions:Balloon catheter isolation-assisted MWA was safe and effective in the treatment of difficultsite liver cancer. Additionally, tumor diameter significantly influenced LTR and LTP rates after ablation.

The isolated hybrid AC/DC multi-energy microgrid(IH-MEMG)offers an effective solution for meeting the electrical,heating,and cooling energy demands of remote and off-grid *** an IH-MEMG,system transient dynamics(i.e.,frequency or voltage of the electricity network)and economics are critical aspects that pose the greatest concern to ***,these aspects are generally investigated separately owing to their different time *** integrate these aspects from the scope of real-time control,this study proposes a bi-layer coordinated power regulation strategy considering system dynamics and economics for the ***,coupling relationships among multiple sub-networks are analyzed,and a frequency-voltage coupling model between the AC and DC sides is ***,a bi-layer coordinated power regulation strategy is developed for the IH-MEMG with output characteristics of different components involved:the primary layer includes a multi-entity power support mechanism used to improve the dynamics of the electricity network,wherein a cooperation principle of the combined cooling,heating,and power(CCHP)unit and energy storage unit(ESU)is designed in detailed;meanwhile,the secondary layer includes a real-time economics-oriented optimization framework used to adjust the power references of multiple units generated from the primary layer for cost efficiency improvement(notably,the primary layer can work independently).Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through comprehensive simulations under varying operation scenarios.

The effect of rolling schedules on the ridging resistance of ultra-thin ferritic stainless steel(FSS)430 foil was evaluated by studying the microstructure and *** results show that specimens processed with three-pass cold rolling under the reductions of 40%,40%and 31%,respectively,exhibit improved ridging resistance owing to the microstructural refinement and the texture structure optimization.A nearly 40%reduction of ridging height can be achieved using the proposed rolling schedule compared to the other two rolling *** addition,the effect of annealing temperature after cold rolling on the ridging resistance of FSS 430 foil is also found to be crucial,and an optimal annealing temperature of 900℃ is obtained for FSS 430 foil with high ridging ***,the improvement in the ridging resistance of FSS 430 foil can be attributed to the reduction in the fraction of{001}and{114}components by optimization of the rolling and annealing processes.

Hydrogel scaffolds have numerous potential applications in the tissue engineering ***,tough hydrogel scaffolds implanted in vivo are seldom reported because it is difficult to balance biocompatibility and high mechanical *** by Chinese ramen,we propose a universal fabricating method(printing-P,training-T,cross-linking-C,PTC&PCT)for tough hydrogel scaffolds to fill this ***,3D printing fabricates a hydrogel scaffold with desired structures(P).Then,the scaffold could have extraordinarily high mechanical properties and functional surface structure by cycle mechanical training with salting-out assistance(T).Finally,the training results are fixed by photo-cross-linking processing(C).The tough gelatin hydrogel scaffolds exhibit excellent tensile strength of 6.66 MPa(622-fold untreated)and have excellent ***,this scaffold possesses functional surface structures from nanometer to micron to millimeter,which can efficiently induce directional cell ***,this strategy can produce bionic human tissue with mechanical properties of 10 kPa-10 MPa by changing the type of salt,and many hydrogels,such as gelatin and silk,could be improved with PTC or PCT *** experiments show that this scaffold can effectively promote the new generation of muscle fibers,blood vessels,and nerves within 4 weeks,prompting the rapid regeneration of large-volume muscle loss injuries.

Deep rocks encountered in underground engineering are frequently in complex in situ environments and experience both excavation disturbance during construction and cyclic loading throughout the long-term operation. Understanding the fatigue behavior of excavation-disturbed rocks in complex stress environments is critical for assessing the long-term stability of deep rock structures. hence, an experimental method has been developed to capture the fatigue damage process of rocks while considering the in situ environment and excavation disturbance. Using this method, a series of triaxial fatigue damage experiments were conducted on Jinping deep marble samples from various in situ environments of 100 m, 1000 m, 1800 m, and 2400 m to better understand the variation in fatigue characteristics at different depths. With increasing depth, the samples experienced more cycles and greater fatigue deformation before failure. Further insights were gained into the fatigue damage behavior in terms of stiffness degradation, energy dissipation and irreversible strain accumulation. A decrease in the elastic modulus and an increase in the dissipated energy and irreversible strain exhibit an evolution pattern of initial→stabilization→acceleration, reflecting the nonlinear fatigue process that occurs inside marble. With increasing depth, marble samples have longer fatigue lives but exhibit more significant stiffness loss, energy dissipation and irrecoverable deformation accumulation;thus, evaluating the instability of deep rock structures solely using fatigue life alone is inadequate. Moreover, the previously reported inverted S-shaped evolution of fatigue damage was observed, and it was found that an increase in depth leads to an earlier onset of the accelerated fatigue damage stage with greater dominance of fatigue failure. All-season thermal management with zero energy consumption and emissions is more crucial to global decarbonization over traditional energy-intensive cooling/heating ***,the static single thermal management for cooling or heating fails to self-regulate the temperature in dynamic seasonal temperature ***,inspired by the dual-temperature regulation function of the fur color changes on the backs and abdomens of penguins,a smart thermal management composite hydrogel(PNA@H-PM Gel) system was subtly created though an "on-demand" dual-layer structure design *** PNA@H-PM Gel system features synchronous solar and thermal radiation modulation as well as tunable phase transition temperatures to meet the variable seasonal thermal requirements and energy-saving demands via self-adaptive radiative cooling and solar heating ***,this system demonstrates superb modulations of both the solar reflectance(ΔR=0.74) and thermal emissivity(ΔE=0.52) in response to ambient temperature changes,highlighting efficient temperature regulation with average radiative cooling and solar heating effects of 9.6℃ in summer and 6.1℃ in winter,***,compared to standard building baselines,the PNA@H-PM Gel presents a more substantial energy-saving cooling/heating potentials for energy-efficient buildings across various regions and *** novel solution,inspired by penguins in the real world,will offer a fresh approach for producing intelligent,energy-saving thermal management materials,and serve for temperature regulation under dynamic climate conditions and even throughout all seasons.

Rice is a well-recognized accumulator of arsenic(As),which poses a threat to food security and human *** rice varieties vary widely in their As accumulation and tolerance,yet the underlying genetic basis remains *** this study,we isolated a rice mutant hag1,which displayed high accumulation of As in rice grains and increased sensitivity to As *** genetic investigation,we identified the ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporter OsABCC1,involved in sequestering As in vacuoles,as the causal gene responsible for As allocation and tolerance in *** physiological analysis revealed that As stress caused more severe oxidative damage in hag1 compared with the wild type(WT).The hag1 mutant displayed different accumulation patterns depending on the levels of As *** discovered that under low As concentration,hag1 synthesized more thiol compounds and exhibited lower As translocation than the WT;however,at high As levels,hag1 produced fewer thiol compounds and increased As transfer *** analysis of the node nearest to the panicles revealed that OsABCC1 was down-regulated in hag1,resulting in increased As translocation and accumulation in rice ***,natural variations in the promoter of OsABCC1 may confer differential gene expression and distinct As accumulations in grains between japonica and indica rice varieties,providing insights for breeding low-As rice varieties.
