Accurate source apportionment of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in soil nearby petrochemical industries prevailing globally,is critical for preventing ***,in the process,seasonal effect on contamination pathways and accumulation of soil VOCs is often ***,Yanshan Refining-Chemical Integration Park,including a carpet,refining,synthetic rubber,and two synthetic resin zones,was selected for *** variations resulted in a gradual decrease of 31 VOCs in soil from winter to summer.A method of dry deposition resistance model coupling partitioning coefficient model was created,revealing that dry deposition by gas phase was the primary pathway for VOCs to enter soil in winter and spring,with 100 times higher fux than by particle *** profiles for five zones were built by gas sampling with distinct substance indicators screened,which were used for positive matrix factorization factors *** of the five zones were 14.9%,20.8%,13.6%,22.1%,and 28.6%in winter and 33.4%,12.5%,10.7%,24.9%,and 18.5%in spring,*** variation in the soil sorption capacity of VOCs causes inter-seasonal differences in *** better correlation between dry deposition capacity and soil storage of VOCs made root mean square and mean absolute errors decrease averagely by 8.8%and 5.5%in winter compared to *** study provides new perspectives and methods for the source apportionment of soil VOCs contamination in industrial sites.

Objective To investigate the mechanistic basis for the anti-proliferation and anti-invasion effect of tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-induced ligand(TRAIL)and celastrol combination treatment(TCCT)in glioblastoma *** Cell counting kit-8 was used to detect the effects of different concentrations of celastrol(0-16µmol/L)and TRAIL(0-500 ng/mL)on the cell viability of glioblastoma cells.U87 cells were randomly divided into 4 groups,namely control,TRAIL(TRAIL 100 ng/mL),Cel(celastrol 0.5µmol/L)and TCCT(TRAIL 100 ng/mL+celastrol 0.5µmol/L).Cell proliferation,migration,and invasion were detected by colony formation,wound healing,and Transwell assays,*** reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting were performed to assess the levels of epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)markers(zona occludens,N-cadherin,vimentin,zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox,Slug,and β-catenin).Wnt pathway was activated by lithium chloride(liCl,20 mol/L)and the mechanism for action of TCCT was *** Celastrol and TRAIL synergistically inhibited the proliferation,migration,invasion,and EMT of U87 cells(Plin-D1,and matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-*** addition,liCl,an activator of the Wnt signaling pathway,restored the inhibitory effects of TCCT on the expression of β-catenin and its downstream genes,as well as the migration and invasion of glioblastoma cells(Plioblastoma cell migration,invasion,and EMT,potentially through inhibition of Wnt/β-catenin *** underlies a novel mechanism of action for TCCT as an effective therapy for glioblastoma.

The evolution of Ce-containing inclusions and its correlation with the reoxidation of liquid steel during protective atmosphere electroslag remelting(ESR)of heat-resistant steel were *** reoxidation of liquid steel took place during the ESR,resulting in the oxygen pickup from 0.0014 to 0.0053 wt.%.The inclusions in the consumable electrode,liquid metal pool and remelted ingot are Ce_(2)O_(2)S and Ce_(2)O,inclusions *** inclusions in the remelted ingot are originated from three ways:(I)the original inclusions from the electrode;(Il)the newly formed Ce_(2)O_(2)S and Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions in the liquid metal pool by reoxidation remaining still in remelted ingot;(Ili)the newly generated Ce2O2S and Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions during cooling and solidification of liquid *** relative proportions of Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions in liquid metal pool and remelted ingot are 41% and 76.5%,*** inclusions ranging from 2 to 5μm in the remelted ingot take up 55%,followed by the inclusions smaller than 2μm(43%of total inclusions).The number proportion of the Ce_(2)0,inclusions in the liquid metal pool which were removed by floating up into slag is 1.96×10-5%.

Pt-Ir alloy is potential superalloys used above 1300℃because of their high strength and creep ***,the ductility of Pt-Ir alloy has rapidly deteriorated with the increase of Ir,resulting in poor *** work quantitatively evaluated the solid solution strengthening(SSS)and grain refinement strengthening(GRS)of Pt-Ir alloy using first-principles calculations combined with experimental ***,the stretching force constants in the second nearest neighbor region(SFC^(2nd))of pure Ir(193.7 eV·nm^(-2))are 3.40 times that of pure Pt(57.0 eV·nm^(-2)),i.e.,the interatomic interaction is greatly enhanced with the increase of Ir content,which leads to the decrease of ductility,and modulus misfit plays a dominant role in ***,the physical mechanisms responsible for the hardness(H_(V))of Pt-Ir alloy,using the power-law-scaled function of electron work function coupled SSS and GRS,are attributed to the electron redistribution caused by different Ir ***,a thorough assessment of the thermodynamic characteristics of Pt-Ir binary alloy was conducted,culminating in development of a mapping model that effectively relates enmposition,temperature and *** results revealed that the compressive strength incrcases with the Ir content,and the highest strength was observed in Pt_(0.25)Ir_(0.75).This study provides valuable insights into the Pt-Ir alloy system.

Multi-modal image matching is crucial in aerospace applications because it can fully exploit the complementary and valuable information contained in the amount and diversity of remote sensing ***,it remains a challenging task due to significant non-linear radiometric,geometric differences,and noise across different *** improve the performance of heterologous image matching,this paper proposes a normalized self-similarity region descriptor to extract consistent structural *** first construct the pointwise self-similarity region descriptor based on the Euclidean distance between adjacent image blocks to reflect the structural properties of multi-modal ***,a linear normalization approach is used to form Modality Independent Region Descriptor(MIRD),which can effectively distinguish structural features such as points,lines,corners,and flat between multi-modal *** further improve the matching accuracy,the included angle cosine similarity metric is adopted to exploit the directional vector information of multi-dimensional feature *** experimental results show that the proposed MIRD has better matching accuracy and robustness for various multi-modal image matching than the state-of-the-art *** can effectively extract consistent geometric structure features and suppress the influence of SAR speckle noise using non-local neighboring image blocks operation,effectively applied to various multi-modal image matching.

BACKGROUND Resistance to clarithromycin(CLA)and levofloxacin(LFX)of Helicobacter pylori(***)is increasing in severity,and successful eradication is ***,the eradication success rate has greatly declined,leaving a large number of patients with previous treatment *** To investigate secondary resistance rates,explore risk factors for antibiotic resistance,and assess the efficacy of susceptibility-guided *** We recruited 154 subjects positive for Urea Breath Test who attended The First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical university between July 2022 and April *** underwent a string test after an overnight *** gastric juice was obtained and transferred to vials containing storage ***,DNA extraction and the specific DNA amplification were performed using quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR).Demographic information was also analyzed as part of the *** on these results,the participants were administered susceptibility-guided *** was compared with that of the empiric treatment *** A total of 132 individuals tested positive for the *** ureA gene by qPCR *** resistance rate reached a high level of 82.6%(n=109),LFX resistance rate was 69.7%(n=92)and dual resistance was 62.1%(n=82).Gastric symptoms[odds ratio(OR)=2.782;95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.076-7.194;P=0.035]and rural residence(OR=5.152;95%CI:1.407-18.861;P=0.013)were independent risk factors for secondary resistance to CLA and LFX,respectively.A total of 102 and 100 individuals received susceptibility-guided therapies and empiric treatment,*** antibiotic susceptibility-guided treatment and empiric treatment groups achieved successful eradication rates of 75.5%(77/102)and 59.0%(59/411)by the intention-to-treat(ITT)analysis and 90.6%(77/85)and 70.2%(59/84)by the per-protocol(PP)analysis,*** eradication rates of these two treatment strategies were significantly

Temporal assembly patterns of microbial communities in three parallel bioreactors treating low-concentration coking wastewater with differing carbon source concentrations

Carbon source is an important factor of biological treatment systems, the effects of which on their temporal community assembly patterns are not sufficiently understood *** this study, the temporal dynamics and driving mechanisms of the communities in three parallel bioreactors for low-concentration coking wastewater(CWW) treatment with differing carbon source concentrations(S0 with no glucose addition, S1 with 200 mg/L glucose addition and S2 with 400 mg/L glucose addition) were comprehensively studied. Highthroughput sequencing and bioinformatics analyses including network analysis and Infer Community Assembly Mechanisms by Phylogenetic bin-based null model(iCAMP) were used. The communities of three systems showed turnover rates of 0.0029~0.0034 every 15days. Network analysis results showed that the S0 network showed higher positive correlation proportion(71.43%) and clustering coefficient(0.33), suggesting that carbon source shortage in S0 promoted interactions and cooperation of microbes. The neutral community model analysis showed that the immigration rate increased from 0.5247 in S0 to 0.6478in S2. The iCAMP analysis results showed that drift(45.89%) and homogeneous selection(31.68%) dominated in driving the assembly of all the investigated microbial *** contribution of homogeneous selection increased with the increase of carbon source concentrations, from 27.92% in S0 to 36.08% in S2. The OTUs participating in aerobic respiration and tricarboxylic acid(TCA) cycle were abundant among the bins mainly affected by deterministic processes, while those related to the metabolism of refractory organic pollutants in CWW such as alkanes, benzenes and phenols were abundant in the bins dominated by stochastic processes.
