A high-temperature reduction roasting method was used to achieve metallic iron and zinc recovery from blast furnace gas ash(BFA).The reduction processes for Zn-containing and Fe-containing oxides were analyzed in detail by using ther-modynamic equilibrium calculation and the principle of minimum free energy.The results showed that the main reaction in the system is the reduction of ZnFe_(2)_(4)and iron oxides.Over the full temperature range,iron oxides were more easily reduced than zinc oxides.Regardless of the amount of CO contained in the system,the reduction of ZnO to Zn was difficult to proceed below the boiling point(906℃)of Zn.When the reduction temperature is below 906℃,the reduction process of zinc ferrate was ZnFe_(2)_(4)→ZnO;when the reduction temperature is above 906℃,its reduction process becomed ZnFe_(2)_(4)→ZnO→Zn(g).The metallization and dezincification rates of the BFA gradually increased with increasing reaction temperature.As the C/O ratio increased,the metallization and dezincification rates first increased and then decreased.The effect of reduction time on BFA reduction was similar to that of reaction temperature.

A room-temperature electrodeposition method with an organic electrolyte was developed to fabricate a HNO3-pretreated graphene paper Cu(GP'-Cu)composite.To improve the interfacial bonding of GP'-Cu composite,magnetron sputtering technology was used to create a"sandwich"structural gradient GP'-Cu composite.The selection of the intermediate transition layer metal was based on two-dimensional disregistry.Scanning electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and other analytical methods confirmed that the addition of an intermediate transition metal(Cr,Ni)layer reduced the gap distance and enhanced the interfacial bonding of the GP'and Cu deposited layers.The GP'-Ni-Cu composite exhibited the largest increase in tensile strength and conductivity.In addition,it had the highest thermal diffusivity and elongation at break among the GP'-Cu,GP'-Cr-Cu and GP'-Ni-Cu composites.

To support the ubiquitous connectivity requirement of sixth generation communication,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)play a key role as a major part of the future communication networks.One major issue in UAV communications is the interference resulting from spectrum sharing and line-of-sight links.Recently,the application of the coordinated multipoint(CoMP)technology has been proposed to reduce the interference in the UAV-terrestrial heterogeneous network(HetNet).In this paper,we consider a three-dimensional(3D)multilayer UAV-terrestrial HetNet,where the aerial base stations(ABSs)are deployed at multiple different altitudes.Using stochastic geometry,we develop a tractable mathematical framework to characterize the aggregate interference and evaluate the coverage probability of this HetNet.Our numerical results show that the implementation of the CoMP scheme can effectively reduce the interference in the network,especially when the density of base stations is relatively large.Furthermore,the system parameters of the ABSs deployed at higher altitudes dominantly influence the coverage performance of the considered 3D HetNet.

Immunotherapy targeting immune checkpoints(ICs)has revolutionized the field of cancer treatment.ICs are a group of proteins that provide stimulatory or inhibitory signals to regulate T-cell activation,tolerance,and exhaustion.To date,some immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)targeting TIM-3,LAG-3,TIGIT,and VISTA are under investigation for their clinical applications.However,only ICIs against CTLA-4,PD-1,and PD-L1 are approved by the FDA and widely used as first-line or second-line treatments for multiple cancer types.CTLA-4 and PD-1 are coinhibitory receptors that are mainly expressed by T cells.

The 42 kg industrial H13 castings were prepared by different super-gravity fields with multi-rotation speeds,and the distribution of oxide inclusions in the castings was studied.In addition,the inward movement Reynolds number and inward movement time of oxide inclusions as well as the solidification time of molten steel at different positions in the castings were calculated to clarify the removal mechanism of oxide inclusions in super-gravity field.The results show that the large size(i.e.,greater than 10μm)oxide inclusions are mainly concentrated in the inner and outer parts of the super-gravity castings with constant rotation speed(500 r min^(-1))and five-stage rotation speeds(500,600,750,850,and 950 r min^(-1)),respectively,while there are no large oxide inclusions in the super-gravity castings with three-stage rotation speeds(500,600,and 750 r min^(-1)).Although an increase in the particle size of inclusion and the rotation speed in super-gravity field is conducive to the increase in the inward movement Reynolds number of oxide inclusions and reduction in the inward movement time of oxide inclusions,it will reduce the local solidification time of molten steel.In the range of the rotation speed studied,the super-gravity field with three-stage rotation speeds has the best effect on the removal of inclusions in H13 molten steel.

Plasma membrane H^(+)-ATPases(PM H^(+)-ATPases)are critical proton pumps that export protons from the cytoplasm to the apoplast.The resulting proton gradient and difference in electrical potential energize various secondary active transport events.PM H^(+)-ATPases play essential roles in plant growth,development,and stress responses.In this review,we focus on recent studies of the mechanism of PM H^(+)-ATPases in response to abiotic stresses in plants,such as salt and high pH,temperature,drought,light,macronutrient deficiency,acidic soil and aluminum stress,as well as heavy metal toxicity.Moreover,we discuss remaining outstanding questions about how PM H^(+)-ATPases contribute to abiotic stress responses.

Observation and simulation of the diffuse attenuation coefficient of downwelling irradiance in the Polar Ocean

The three-stream radiation transfer model is used to investigate the fluctuation in the underwater diffuse attenuation coefficient of downwelling irradiance in the polar ocean with a high solar zenith angle and different direct radiation proportions.First,the applicability of the three-stream radiation model in the polar region is validated by using 18 in situ observation data from September to October 2009 in the Beaufort Sea.Statistics show that in the absence of sea ice,the average relative errors between the simulation and observation values for 490 nm downwelling irradiance (E_(d)(490)) and its diffuse attenuation coefficient (K_(d)(490)) are 7.04%and 9.88%,respectively.At the stations surrounded by sea ice,the radiation is relatively small due to ice blocking,and the average relative errors simulated by the model reach 15.89%and 15.55%,respectively.Second,simulations with different chlorophyll concentrations and different proportions of direct radiation reveal that a high solar zenith angle has a greater impact on K_(d)(490) in the surface water.K_(d)(490) is less affected by the light field (affected by the solar zenith angle and the proportion of direct radiation) at depths greater than 30 m,and meets the linear relationship with the inherent optical parameters(the sum of the absorption coefficient and backscattering coefficient).The surface K_(d)(490) is still consistent with that at a depth of more than 50 meters under a high solar zenith angle,implying that the surface K_(d)(490) can also be considered as an inherent optical parameter at a high solar zenith angle (greater than 60 degrees).The relative error of obtaining surface K_(d)(490) by using the linear relationship at the 50 m layer is found to be less than 8%in the seawater with chlorophyll concentration greater than0.05 mg m^(-3).The effect of the solar zenith angle and proportion of direct radiation can be ignored when measuring the diffuse attenuation coefficient in the polar region.Finally,the model can correct the ice-induced fluctuation in

In this study,a new class of biodegradable contraceptive implants was prepared via the UV irradiation molding method,among which,progestin levonorgestrel(LNG)was used as a model drug.Photo-cross-linked aliphatic polycarbonates(APCs),namely,poly(trimethylene carbonate-co-2,2′-dimethyltrimethylene carbonate)[P(TMC-co-DTC)]elastomers,were used as the drug delivery matrix.The results obtained from the degradation experiments carried out in Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats showed that the cross-linked elastomer had the degradation characteristics of the surface erosion degradation mechanism,with no generation of acid degradation products,and excellent form-stability,which met the performance requirements of the matrix for a long-acting sustained-release delivery system.The in vitro cytotoxicity tests and histological and immunohistochemical evaluations showed good biocompatibility and biosafety of the elastomer matrix material and contraceptive implants.Subsequently,the implant formulations were screened by in vitro release experiments,and their release kinetics were explored.Finally,in the evaluation study of the in vivo anti-fertility effect,the implants exhibited excellent dimensional stability and were degraded by a surface erosion mechanism.LNG achieved a stable and sustained release in female SD rats,maintaining a long-acting contraceptive duration of up to 4 months.The contraceptive implants obtained in this study could be used to address the limitations of currently available formulations,which required secondary surgical removal and a single means of regulating drug release kinetics.Therefore,these implants could provide a new option for birth control needs and may be of significance in reducing the incidence of induced abortion and protecting female fertility.
