Lightweight aluminum(Al)alloys have been widely used in frontier fields like aerospace and automotive industries,which attracts great interest in additive manufacturing(AM)to process high-value Al *** a mainstream AM technique,laser-directed energy deposition(LDED)shows good scalability to meet the requirements for large-format component manufacturing and ***,LDED Al alloys are highly challenging due to their inherent poor printability(*** laser absorption,high oxidation sensitivity and cracking tendency).To further promote the development of LDED high-performance Al alloys,this review offers a deep understanding of the challenges and strategies to improve printability in LDED Al *** porosity,cracking,distortion,inclusions,element evaporation and resultant inferior mechanical properties(worse than laser powder bed fusion)are the key challenges in LDED Al *** parameter optimizations,in-situ alloy design,reinforcing particle addition and field assistance are the efficient approaches to improving the printability and performance of LDED Al *** underlying correlations between processes,alloy innovation,characteristic microstructures,and achievable performances in LDED Al alloys are *** benchmark mechanical properties and primary strengthening mechanism of LDED Al alloys are *** review aims to provide a critical and in-depth evaluation of current progress in LDED Al *** opportunities and perspectives in LDED high-performance Al alloys are also outlined.

Salidroside Ameliorates Lung Injury Induced by PM_(2.5) by Regulating SIRT1-PGC-1αin Mice

Objective This study aimed to clarify the intervention effect of salidroside(SAL)on lung injury caused by PM_(2.5) in mice and illuminate the function of SIRT1-PGC-1ɑ*** Specific pathogen-free(SPF)grade male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to the following groups:control group,SAL group,PM_(2.5) group,SAL+PM_(2.5) *** the first day,SAL was given by gavage,and on the second day,PM_(2.5) suspension was given by intratracheal *** whole experiment consist of a total of 10 cycles,lasting 20 *** the end of treatment,blood samples and lung tissues were collected and *** of pathological changes in lung tissue using inverted microscopy and transmission electron *** expression of inflammatory,antioxidants,apoptosis,and SIRT1-PGC-1ɑproteins were detected by Western *** Exposure to PM_(2.5) leads to obvious morphological and pathologica changes in the lung of ***_(2.5) caused a decline in levels of antioxidant-related enzymes and protein expressions of HO-1,Nrf2,SOD2,SIRT1 and PGC-1ɑ,and an increase in the protein expressions of IL-6,IL-1β,Bax,caspase-9 and cleaved ***,SAL reversed the aforementioned changes caused by PM_(2.5) by activating the SIRT1-PGC-1α *** SAL can activate SIRT1-PGC-1ɑ to ameliorate PM2.5-induced lung injury.

Linking coral fluorescence phenotypes to thermal bleaching in the reef-building Galaxea fascicularis from the northern South China Sea

Coral fluorescence phenotypes have been suggested as an adaptation to a broad range of environmental conditions,yet the mechanisms linking thermal bleaching tolerance in reef-building coral populations,associated with fluorescence phenotypes due to GFP-like proteins,remains *** this study,the relationship between the thermal sensitivity and phenotypic plasticity of corals was investigated using two phenotypes of Galaxea fascicularis,green and *** results reveal that brown *** was more susceptible to bleaching than green *** when exposed to a higher growth temperature of 32℃.Both phenotypes of *** were associated with the thermotolerant Symbiodiniaceae symbiont,Durusdinium ***,the brown *** showed a significant decrease in Symbiodiniaceae cell density and a significant increase in pathogenic bacteria abundance when the growth temperature was raised from 29 to 32℃.The physiological traits and transcriptomic profiles of Symbiodiniaceae were not notably affected,but there were differences in the transcriptional levels of certain genes between the two phenotype hosts of *** heat stress of 32℃,the gene encoding green fluorescent protein(GFP)-like and chromosome-associated proteins,as well as genes related to oxidative phosphorylation,cell growth and death showed lower transcriptional levels in the brown *** compared to the green ***,the results demonstrate that the green form of *** is better able to tolerate ocean warming and defend against pathogenic bacteria,likely due to higher gene transcription levels and defense ability.

Pitting is a common type of localized corrosion in passive alloys that can cause rapid failure of material or *** the case of stainless steels,non-metallic inclusions have been identified as the most susceptible sites for pitting,and have therefore garnered significant *** review critically ex-amines the issue of how inclusions induce pitting,with a particular focus on three mechanisms:sponta-neous dissolution of inclusions,active dissolution of Cr-depleted regions,and propagation of microcracks at the inclusion-matrix *** researchers have made significant strides in understanding these mechanisms over the past few decades,many gaps and controversies *** such as the ini-tial driving force of inclusion dissolution and factors affecting Cr-depleted regions require further ***,some old concepts and methods need to be revised to arrive at more credible *** review aims to delve deeply into these important issues and provide inspiration for future research.

N,O-Bidentated difluoroboron complexes based on pyridine-ester enolates:Facile synthesis,post-complexation modification,optical properties,and applications

An array of pyridine-ester enolate based organoboron complexes has been designed and synthesized via a one-pot cascade of Pd-catalyzedα-arylation and *** rapid structure-activity relationship(SAR)studies indicated that unsymmetrical N,O-chelated BF2complexes were highly fluorescent in solid state,and exhibited large Stokes shifts,excellent photostability,along with insensitivity to p ***α-aryl group could not only modulate the electronic effect but also inhibit the intermolecularπ-πstacking to promote the aggregation-induced emission(AIE)*** calculations and experiments identified that the intramolecular charge transfer properties of these N,O-chelates could be switched by the modification of substituents,resulting tunable fluorescence ***,post-complexation modification was accomplished,including Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling,Buchwald-Hartwig amination,oxidative cleavage,along with a unique triple substitution reaction involving propargyl Grignard *** exemplificative application of dimethylamine substituted boron complex as a reversible acidic vapor sensor was also demonstrated.

Study on multi-timescale operation of hydrogen-containing energy coupled with transportation system

With the widespread attention on hydrogen energy,the operation optimization of the coupling system of hydrogen energy and transportation has become a critical ***,this study develops a hydrogen-containing energy transportation coupling system for the system collaborative operation framework,operation mode and equipment modelling of the ***,a medium-to long-term operation optimization model and a short-term operation optimization model were constructed considering the differences in the operation of coupled systems at different timescales and operating costs as the objective function and power balance and system equipment as *** the medium-and long-term operation optimization model,the planning scenario reduction method is used to reduce the wind power generation *** the short-term operation optimization model,a multivariate uncertainty model is constructed to represent the uncertainty in the coupling ***,the solution method of the model is ***,a coupled system is simulated to verify the effectiveness of the model.(i)When the initial scene set is 600,the typical scene reduction method using Latin hypercube sampling and the Wasserstein distance can reduce operating costs by 7.60%and 9.49%compared with K-means reduction and K-media reduction methods.(ii)The sensitivity coefficients of hydrogen sales price,electricity sales price and maintenance rate to operating costs are-0.031%,-1.009%and 0.0105%,respectively.(iii)Considering multiple uncertainties can help make optimal decisions based on the overall consideration of disadvantage scenarios,thereby reducing system operating costs.

Exploration on electrical resistance tomography in characterizing the slurry spatial distribution in cemented granular materials

This study investigated the application of electrical resistance tomography(ERT)in characterizing the slurry spatial distribution in cemented granular materials(CGMs).For CGM formed by self-flow grouting,the voids in the accumulation are only partially filled and the bond strength is often limited,which results in difficulty in obtaining in situ samples for quality ***,it is usually infeasible to evaluate the grouting effect or monitor the slurry spatial distribution by a mechanical *** this research,the process of grouting cement paste into high alumina ceramic beads(HACB)accumulation is reliably monitored with *** shows that ERT results can be used to calculate the cement paste volume in the HACB accumulation,based on calibrating the saturation exponent n in Archie’s *** results support the feasibility of ERT as an imaging tool in CGM characterization and may provide guidance for engineering applications in the future.

New Vacuum Solar Telescope Achieves Narrowband Infrared Solar Imaging Observation at He I 10830 A

The near-infrared imaging channel constitutes a crucial component of the multichannel high-resolution imaging system of the New Vacuum Solar Telescope(NVST). We have successfully achieved high-resolution, narrowband imaging of the chromosphere using He I 10830 A triplet within this channel, which significantly enhances the imaging observation capabilities of NVST. This paper provides a concise overview of the optical system associated with the near-infrared imaging channel, detailing data processing procedures and presenting several observed images. Leveraging a high-resolution image reconstruction algorithm, we were able to generate a narrowband image near the diffraction limit at 10830 A with a temporal resolution of less than 10 s.

Investigation on the influence of vortex generator on particle resuspension

The vortex generator(VG)and its well-known effect in flow optimization are widely studied and employed across different engineering ***,while the same working principles of VG may be well suited for the applications on surface-cleaning technologies,such promising potential is hardly,if any,explored in the published ***,in the present study,the influence on flow-induced particle resuspension brought by a rectangular vG in a channel flow is investigated with the help of highfidelity computational fluid dynamics *** increases of particle removal forces and resuspension rates are discovered in long,strip-like regions with reduced boundary-layer thickness resulted from the vG-induced vortices,and the enhancement effect is especially significant for configurations with the VG installed at a greater angle of *** is also shown that while the resuspension enhancements on the lower and the upper surfaces of the channel exhibit distinct statistical characteristics,having a VG in the channel improves the overall particle-removing capability of the channel flow by introducing higher surface-averaged removal forces and particle resuspension *** but not least,the increase of resuspension rate is especially significant for the smaller,micron-scale particles which are otherwise hardly disturbed by a VG-less channel flow,and such resuspension-enhancement effectgenerally subsides with increasing particle size.
