Platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha （PDGFRct） is a marker of oligodendrocyte precursor cells in the central nervous system. NG2 is also considered a marker of oligodendrocyte precursor cells. However, whether there are differences in the distribution and morphol- ogy of oligodendrocyte precursor cells labeled by NG2 or PDGFRa in the developing neonatal rat brain remains unclear. In this study, by immunohistochemical staining, NG2 positive （NG2＋） cells were ubiquitous in the molecular layer, external pyramidal layer, internal pyramidal layer, and polymorphic layer of the cerebral cortex, and corpus callosum, external capsule, piriform cortex, and medial septal nucleus. NG2~ cells were stellate or fusiform in shape with long processes that were progressively decreased and shortened over the course of brain development. The distribution and morphology of PDGFRct positive （PDGFRa＋） cells were coincident with NG2＋ cells. The co- localization of NG2 and PDGFRu in the cell bodies and processes of some cells was confirmed by double immunofluorescence labeling. Moreover, cells double-labeled for NG2 and PDGFRa were predominantly in the early postnatal stage of development. The numbers of NG2＋/PDGFRa＋ cells and PDGFRa＋ cells decreased, but the number of NG2＋ cells increased from postnatal days 3 to 14 in the developing brain. In addition, amoeboid microglial cells of the corpus callosum, newborn brain macrophages in the normal developing brain, did not express NG2 or PDGFRu, but NG2 expression was detected in amoeboid microglia after hypoxia. The present results suggest that NG2 and PDGFRct are specific markers of oligodendrocyte precursor cells at different stages during early development. Additionally, the NG2 protein is involved in inflammatory and pathological processes of amoeboid microglial cells.

Natural rubber (NR) is widely used in various fields including aerospace, military industry and transportation due to its superior elasticity and comprehensive mechanical properties. Nonetheless, the commercial NR prepared by different methods usually exhibits different mechanical properties, primarily due to variations in processing conditions during the conversion from latex to bulk rubber material. Consequently, this poses challenges in scientific research and industrial production of NR. In order to assess the properties of various commercially available NR and identify key structural and compositional components, this study systematically compares and analyzes four representative NR raw materials: air dried sheet (ADS), ribbed smoked sheets (RSS), constant viscidity NR (CV), and whole field latex rubber (WF). The investigation focuses on evaluating their static mechanical behavior, SIC behavior, wear resistance, and fatigue resistance. The findings indicate that protein and gel content exhibit a crucial influence on the NR properties. These constituents contribute to the formation of a high-crosslinking density region, generating a heterogeneous network structure within the rubber. This structure amplifies strains during deformation, leading to earlier and stronger strain-induced crystallization (SIC). Among the four commercial NR brands, RSS demonstrates superior overall mechanical and dynamic properties owing to its high protein and gel content. This study serves as a valuable reference for comprehending the differences in properties among various commercial NR, thereby offering guidance for the actual processing and selection of NR.

Starting from the hydroxylamine (dimethyl amino ethanol, triethanolamine) and 1,3-propane sultone, a series of hydroxyl and sulfonyl dual-functionalized zwitterionic salts and corresponding acidic room temperature ionic liquids have been synthesized. The hydroxyl groups of the synthesized substances were confirmed by the 1H NMR measurement. These zwitterionic salts and ionic liquids may be used for synthesizing other functionalized ionic liquids or ionic liquid-polymer (polyelectrolyte).

As a broad-spectrum antiviral nanoparticle,the cell membrane nanodecoy is a promising strategy for preventing viral ***,most of the cell membrane nanodecoys can only catch virus and cannot induce inactivation,which may bring about a considerably high risk of re-infection owing to the possible viral escape from the *** tackle this challenge,sulfated liposomes are employed to mimic the cell membrane glycocalyx for constructing an artificial cell membrane glycocalyx nanodecoy that exhibits excellent anti-coronavirus activity against HCoV-OC43,wild-type SARS-CoV-2,Alpha and Delta variant SARS-CoV-2 *** addition,this nanodecoy,loaded with surface sulfate groups as SARS-CoV-2 receptor arrays,can enhance the antiviral capability to virus inactivation through destroying the virus membrane structure and transfer the spike protein to postfusion *** bio-inspired recognition and inactivation of viruses in a single supramolecular entity,the artificial cell membrane nanodecoy opens a new avenue for the development of theranostic antiviral nanosystems,whose mass production is favored due to the facile engineering of sulfated liposomes.

The rice leaffolder （RLF）, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenée （Lepidoptera：Pyralidae）, and the white-backed rice planthopper （WBPH）, Sogatella furcifera Horváth （Hemiptera： Delphacidae）, are major insect pests in China and several other Asian countries. These two pests commonly occur simultaneously or in a temporal sequence. Thus, the investigation of the effect of complex infestations or temporal sequence infestations by these pests on rice yield has a practical signiifcance for the control of these pests. The present study comprised experiments with the following four different variables in potted rice at the tillering stage：single pest species infestation, complex infestation, complete combination infestation and temporal sequence infestation （C. medinalis infestation prior to S. furcifera and S. furcifera infestation prior to C. medinalis）. The results showed that the four infestations resulted in a signiifcant decrease in 1 000-grain weight （1 000GW） and rate of yield loss （RYL） but an increase in blighted grain rate （BGR）, with a signiifcant positive correlation with the infestation density. However, the inlfuences of the complex infestation, complete combination infestation or sequence infestation on the 1 000GW, BGR and RYL were greater than those of the single pest species infestations but did not have addition effects, i.e., the effects of the complex infestation and combination infestation or sequence infestation on the 1 000GW, BGR and RYL were less than the additive effects of the two single pest species infestations at the same densities. In the condition of the same total infestation pressure, no signiifcant differences in the 1 000GW, BGR and RYL were found between C. medinalis infestation prior to S. furcifera and S. furcifera infestation prior to C. medinalis as well as between the sequence infestation and the complex infestation.

Induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes(iPSC-CMs)have an irreplaceable role in the treatment of myocardial infarction(MI),which can be injected into the transplanted area with new cardiomyocytes(Cardiomyocytes,CMs),and improve myocardial ***,the immaturity of the structure and function of iPSC-CMs is the main bottleneck at *** collagen participates in the formation of extracellular matrix(ECM),we synthesized nano colloidal gelatin(Gel)with collagen as the main component,and confirmed that the biomaterial has good biocompatibility and is suitable for cellular in vitro ***,we combined the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway inhibitor BEZ-235 with Gel and found that the two combined increased the sarcomere length and action potential amplitude(APA)of iPSC-CMs,and improved the Ca^(2+)processing ability,the maturation of mitochondrial morphological structure and metabolic *** only that,Gel can also prolong the retention rate of iPSC-CMs in the myocardium and increase the expression of Cx43 and angiogenesis in the transplanted area of mature iPSC-CMs,which also provides a reliable basis for the subsequent treatment of mature iPSC-CMs.

Two cardenolide glycosides,corotoxigenin 3-0-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(l→4)-6-deoxy-β-D-glucopyranoside](1)and coroglaucigenin 3-0-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(l→4)-6-deoxy-β-D-glucopyranoside](2),were isolated from the seed fairs of Asclepias *** structures of 1-2 were determined based on the combination of the analysis of their MS,NMR spectroscopic data and acid *** inhibitory effects of compounds 1 and 2 on human colorectal carcinoma cells(HCT116),non-small cell lung carcinoma cells(A549)and hepatic cancer cells(SMMC-7721)were *** results showed that both compounds 1 and 2 significantly inhibited the viability,proliferation,and migration of A549,HCT116 and SMMC-7721 cells,suggesting that compounds 1 and 2 can be applied in the treatment of lung,colon and liver cancers in clinical *** study may not only provide a scientific basis for clarifying the active ingredients in ***,but also help to understand its antitumor activity,which can promote the application of *** in clinical treatment of various cancers.
