Leaching behavior and microstructure of phosphorus in converter slag

Converter slag is a by-product of the steelmaking process and contains a large amount of Ca,Fe,P and other *** the phosphorus in the converter slag can be effectively extracted,the resulting phosphorus can be used as a phosphate *** in converter slag is mainly enriched in 2CaO·SiO_(2)-3CaO·P_(2)O_(5)(C_(2)S-C_(3)P)solid solution and is easily dissolved in ***,acid leaching method was used to dissolve the solid solution to extract phosphorus in converter slag,so as to realize the recycling of phosphorus resources in converter *** leaching behavior of three actual converter slags from different steel mills in acid leaching solutions composed of citric acid,sodium hydroxide,hydrochloric acid and deionized water was studied by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy combined with energy dispersive spectrometry,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy to reveal the change in object image structure as well as SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron before and after acid *** results show that only a small amount of phosphorus in converter slag with too low basicity is enriched in C_(2)S-C_(3)P solid solution,resulting in poor leaching *** the converter slag has a high basicity,the removal effect of phosphorus is 70.64%-81.88%.In addition,when the basicity of converter slag is roughly the same,the dephosphorization effect of slag with high FeO content is relatively *** acid leaching will cause depolymerization behavior of SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron,so that the mole fraction of Q0(Si)(asymmetric stretching vibration of Si-O bond in SiO_(4) tetrahedron with bridge oxygen number of 0)and NBO/Si(non-bridging oxygen in silicate tetrahedra)will ***-containing solids can be obtained from the solution after acid leaching through static precipitation,and the solids have the potential to make phosphate fertilizers.

Inhibitory effect of schisandrin B on gastric cancer cells in vitro

AIM： To investigate the inhibitory effect and possible mechanism of action of schisandrin B in SC-B on gastric cancer cells in vitro.METHODS： SC-B consisted of schisandrin B, aloeemodin, and Astragalus polysaccharides. Exponentially growing human gastric cancer SGO7901 cells were divided into six treatment groups：（1） control group （RPMI 1640 medium）; （2） negative control group （2% DMSO）; （3） positive control group （50 mg/L 5-Fluorouracil, 5-FU）; （4） low-dose group （LSC, final concentration of schisandrin B, 25 mg/L）, （5） moderate-dose group （MSC, final concentration of schisandrin B, 50 mg/L）; （6） highdose group （HSC, final concentration of schisandrin B, 100 mg/L）. Follow-up was done at 12-48 h. An MTT （Methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide） assay was used to examine the inhibitory effect of SOB on gastric cancer cells. The mitosis index was assessed using an inverted microscope. Flow cytometry was used to visualize the cell cycle. An RT-PCR （Reverse transcription-Polymerase chain reaction） -based assay was used to detect mRNA expression for cyclin D1 and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase （GAPDH）.RESULTS： The MTT assay showed that the number of living cells in the LSC, MSC and HSC groups was significantly smaller than that in the DMSO-treated group （P 〈 0.05） at 12-48 h. The inhibitory rate （IR） of the LSC group was 41.15% ± 3.86%, 59.24% ± 5.34% and 69.93% ± 7.81% at 12, 24 and 48 h, respectively. The IR of the MSC group was 42.82% ± 4.94%, 62.68% ± 7.58% and 71.79% ± 8.12% at 12, 24 and 48 h, respectively. The IR of the HSC group was 37.50% ± 3.21%, 40.34% ± 2.98% and 61.99% ± 4.88% at 12, 24 and 48 h, respectively. These results suggested that a moderate dosage had the most obvious inhibitory efficacy at 48 h. Compared to the DMSO group, the mitosis index of the LSC, MSC, HSC groups was greatly decreased （P 〈 0.05） at all time points. Any dose of SC-B suppressed mitosis within 12-48 h. Therapeutic effects of dental pulp stem cells on vascular dementia in rat models

Dental pulp stem cells are a type of adult stem cells with strong proliferative ability and multi-differentiation potential. There are no studies on treatment of vascular dementia with dental pulp stem cells. In the present study, rat models of vascular dementia were established by two-vessel occlusion, and 30 days later, rats were injected with 2 × 10^(7) dental pulp stem cells via the tail vein. At 70 days after vascular dementia induction, dental pulp stem cells had migrated to the brain tissue of rat vascular dementia models and differentiated into neuronlike cells. At the same time, doublecortin, neurofilament 200, and Neu N m RNA and protein expression levels in the brain tissue were increased, and glial fibrillary acidic protein m RNA and protein expression levels were decreased. Behavioral testing also revealed that dental pulp stem cell transplantation improved the cognitive function of rat vascular dementia models. These findings suggest that dental pulp stem cell transplantation is effective in treating vascular dementia possibly through a paracrine mechanism. The study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Harbin Medical University(approval No. KY2017-132) in 2017.

Insights into restrictive cardiomyopathy from clinical and animal studies

Cardiomyopathies are diseases that primarily affect the myocardium, leading to serious cardiac dysfunction and heart failure. Out of the three major categories of cardiomyopathies （hypertrophic, dilated and restrictive）, restrictive cardiomyopathy （RCM） is less common and also the least studied. However, the prognosis for RCM is poor as some patients dying in their childhood. The molecular mechanisms behind the disease development and progression are not very clear and the treatment of RCM is very difficult and often ineffective. In this article, we reviewed the recent progress in RCM research from the clinical studies and the translational studies done on diseased transgenic animal models. This will help for a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying the etiology and development of RCM and for the design of better treatments for the disease.

The diffusion and loss of lithium polysulfides(liPSs)in lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)reduce the sulfur utilization rate and the catalytic conversion efficiency of sulfur species,resulting in early battery ***_(2)ZnTi_(3)O_(8)(LZTO),characterized by its stable spinel structure,exhibits high li+conductivity and holds great potential as an effective adsorbent for *** study proposes a collaborative design concept of LZTO host–separator modifier,which offers a complementary and matching approach in the cathode side,effectively addressing the challenges associated with dissolution and inadequate conversion of *** functional theory(DFT)calculation substantiates the pronounced chemical affinity of LZTO towards *** importantly,the high efficiency ion transport channels are achieved in separator coating due to the presence of the LZTO ***,the catalytic efficacy of LZTO is validated through meticulous analysis of symmetric batteries and Tafel ***,the LZTO host–separator modifier-based cell displays satisfactory rate capability(1449 and 1166 mAh·g^(−1)at 0.1 and 0.5 C)and an impressively capacity(606 mAh·g^(−1)after 500 cycles at 1 C).The coordinated strategy of host–separator modifier is supposed to have wide applications in LSBs.

Two new species of Polyalthiopsis(Annonaceae),*** *** & Bin Yang from Guangxi and Yunnan Provinces and *** *** & Bin Yang from Yunnan Province,are described and *** is morphologically similar to *** in having narrowly elliptic-oblong,lemon to yellowish green petals,but differs by having obovoid monocarps,a higher number of leaf secondary veins,leaf blades usually widest above the middle,and a lower ratio of leaf blade length to *** is morphologically similar to *** in having axillary inflorescences,1-3(-4) flowers,elliptic leaves,and ellipticovate petals,but differs in the numbers of carpels per flower and ovules per *** molecular phylogenetic analysis using five plastid markers confirm that the two new species belong to the genus Polyalthiopsis and show clear interspecific divergences between *** and *** and between them and other species in the *** descriptions,colored photographs,and habitat and distribution data for the two new species are *** addition,the fruit morphology of *** is described for the first time,based on living *** distributions and a diagnostic key for all Polyalthiopsis species are also presented.

The heterointerface engineering involving different components or phases represents a desirable strategy for enhancing the sluggish kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However,constructing desired heterointerfaces and elucidating the reaction mechanisms on the interface remains a considerable *** this work,we propose a straightforward electrochemical synthesis strategy to prepare the nickel sulfide-based heterointerfaces for *** mechanism of electrochemical synthesis is revealed,wherein metal-thiourea species can be formed at the cathode potential and subsequently oxidized to nickel sulfides at the anode *** this mechanism,a range of nickel sulfides,including NiS,Ni_(3)S_(2)/NiS,Ni/Ni_(3)S_(2)and Ni_(3)S_(2),have been successfully synthesized by tuning the potential range of cyclic *** these,the obtained Ni_(3)S_(2)/NiS@CC(CC:carbon cloth)exhibits the smallest overpotential of84 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2)and high *** calculations further reveal that the combination of NiS and Ni_(3)S_(2)induces electron redistribution at the interface,and thus the Volmer process is effectively promoted with faster water dissociation and OH desorption ***,the simplicity method coupled with a clear synthesis mechanism and outstanding HER performance highlights its promising potential for practical applications.

Uncontrolled growth of lithium dendrite will lead to low Coulombic efficiency and poor cycle stability,which hinders the commercialization of lithium metal ***,a novel modified lithium anode with reduced graphene oxide conductive network containing trace lithiophilic phosphorus(P-rGO/Cu)is prepared by electrospraying technique combined with heat treatment *** rGO layer has a concave and undulating conductive structure,which can significantly improve the effective electrical contact between lithium metal and the current collector,speed up the kinetics of interfacial electron transport and reaction,and improve the resistance of the negative electrode to the internal stress caused by volume change of the lithium,which is advantageous for the stability of the SEI *** extremely small and uniformly distributed red phosphorus element avoids the volume change caused by lithiation to the maximum *** two-phase compound li_(3)P obtained by alloying P with li can directionally induce the homogeneous nucleation and dense deposition of lithium metal,address the issue of lithium dendrites and extend the cycle life of the *** obtained P-rGO/Cu exhibits excellent electrochemical performance with an average Coulombic efficiency(CE)of 98%at a current density of 1 mA·cm^(−2) for 400 cycles,and the capacity retention rate of the full cell matched with lithium iron phosphate(LFP)is 83%after 400 cycles at 1C.

lithium-oxygen batteries(LOBs)with high energy density are a promising advanced energy storage ***,the slow cathodic redox kinetics during cycling causes the discharge products to fail to decompose in time,resulting in large polarization and battery failure in a short ***,a self-supporting interconnected nanosheet array network NiCo_(2)O_(4)/MnO_(2)with a Mott-Schottky heterostructure on titanium paper(TP-NCO/MO)is ingeniously designed as an efficient cathode catalyst material for *** heterostructure can accelerate electron transfer and influence the charge transfer process during adsorption of intermediate by triggering the interface disturbance at the heterogeneous interface,thus accelerating oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution kinetics and regulating product decomposition,which is expected to solve the above *** meticulously designed unique structural advantages enable the TP-NCO/MO cathode catalyst to exhibit an astounding ultra-long cycle life of 800 cycles and an extraordinarily low overpotential of 0.73 *** study utilizes a simple method to cleverly regulate the morphology of the discharge products by constructing a Mott-Schottky heterostructure,providing important reference for the design of efficient catalysts aimed at optimizing the adsorption of reaction intermediates.
