Even Search in a Promising Region for Constrained Multi-Objective Optimization

In recent years, a large number of approaches to constrained multi-objective optimization problems(CMOPs) have been proposed, focusing on developing tweaked strategies and techniques for handling constraints. However, an overly finetuned strategy or technique might overfit some problem types,resulting in a lack of versatility. In this article, we propose a generic search strategy that performs an even search in a promising region. The promising region, determined by obtained feasible non-dominated solutions, possesses two general ***, the constrained Pareto front(CPF) is included in the promising region. Second, as the number of feasible solutions increases or the convergence performance(i.e., approximation to the CPF) of these solutions improves, the promising region shrinks. Then we develop a new strategy named even search,which utilizes the non-dominated solutions to accelerate convergence and escape from local optima, and the feasible solutions under a constraint relaxation condition to exploit and detect feasible regions. Finally, a diversity measure is adopted to make sure that the individuals in the population evenly cover the valuable areas in the promising region. Experimental results on 45 instances from four benchmark test suites and 14 real-world CMOPs have demonstrated that searching evenly in the promising region can achieve competitive performance and excellent versatility compared to 11 most state-of-the-art methods tailored for CMOPs.

The 2.5 m wide-field and high-resolution solar telescope(WeHoST)is currently under developing for solar *** aims to achieve high-resolution observations over a super-wide field of view(FOV)of5′×5′,and a desired resolution of 0.3″.To meet the scientific requirements of WeHoST,the ground-layer adaptive optics(GLAO)with a specially designed wave front sensing system is as the primary *** introduce the GLAO configuration,particularly the wave front sensing *** analytic method,we simulate the performance of both classical AO and GLAO systems,optimize the wave front sensing system,and evaluate GLAO performance in terms of PSF uniformity and correction improvement across whole *** results indicate that,the classical AO will achieve diffraction-limited resolution;the suggested GLAO configuration will uniformly improve the seeing across the full 5′×5′FOV,reducing the FWHM across the axis FOV to less than0.3″(λ≥705 nm,r0≥11 cm),which is more than two times *** specially designed wave front sensor schedule offers new potential for WeHoST’s GLAO,particularly the multi-FOV GLAO and the flexibility to select the detected *** capabilities will significantly enhance the scientific output of the telescope.

Solving constrained multi-objective optimization problems with evolutionary algorithms has attracted considerable *** constrained multi-objective optimization evolutionary algorithms(CMOEAs)have been developed with the use of different algorithmic strategies,evolutionary operators,and constraint-handling *** performance of CMOEAs may be heavily dependent on the operators used,however,it is usually difficult to select suitable operators for the problem at ***,improving operator selection is promising and necessary for *** work proposes an online operator selection framework assisted by Deep Reinforcement *** dynamics of the population,including convergence,diversity,and feasibility,are regarded as the state;the candidate operators are considered as actions;and the improvement of the population state is treated as the *** using a Q-network to learn a policy to estimate the Q-values of all actions,the proposed approach can adaptively select an operator that maximizes the improvement of the population according to the current state and thereby improve the algorithmic *** framework is embedded into four popular CMOEAs and assessed on 42 benchmark *** experimental results reveal that the proposed Deep Reinforcement Learning-assisted operator selection significantly improves the performance of these CMOEAs and the resulting algorithm obtains better versatility compared to nine state-of-the-art CMOEAs.

Puncturing has been recognized as a promising technology to cope with the coexistence problem of enhanced mobile broadband(eMBB) and ultra-reliable low latency communications(URLLC)traffic. However, the steady performance of eMBB traffic while meeting the requirements of URLLC traffic with puncturing is a major challenge in some realistic scenarios. In this paper, we pay attention to the timely and energy-efficient processing for eMBB traffic in the industrial Internet of Things(IIoT), where mobile edge computing(MEC) is employed for data processing. Specifically, the performance of eMBB traffic and URLLC traffic in a MEC-based IIoT system is ensured by setting the threshold of tolerable delay and outage probability, respectively. Furthermore,considering the limited energy supply, an energy minimization problem of eMBB device is formulated under the above constraints, by jointly optimizing the resource blocks(RBs) punctured by URLLC traffic, data offloading and transmit power of eMBB device. With Markov's inequality, the problem is reformulated by transforming the probabilistic outage constraint into a deterministic constraint. Meanwhile, an iterative energy minimization algorithm(IEMA) is *** results demonstrate that our algorithm has a significant reduction in the energy consumption for eMBB device and achieves a better overall effect compared to several benchmarks.

Rare metals such as lithium(Li), rubidium(Rb), and cesium(Cs) are strategically crucial mineral resources for the development of emerging industries in China. Ensuring a stable long-term supply of these resources is essential. The geothermal systems in Xizang, China are well-developed, with a wide distribution of various types. Most high-temperature geothermal systems in Xizang are exceptionally enriched in rare metal elements(RMEs) and have the potential to become a new source of rare metals to secure China's strategic mineral resource supply in the future. A close relationship also exists between the geothermal system and the special salt lake resources on the Tibetan Plateau. Geothermal springs thus play a key role in the migration and enrichment of RMEs from deep to shallow parts of the crust, in the transition between endogenous and exogenous mineralization, and source-to-sink processes. However, the mechanisms of element enrichment and evolution in these springs have not been systematically discussed, and many theoretical issues remain to be investigated. Based on summarizing and analyzing previous research, this study employs hydrochemical and isotopic geochemistry methods to investigate typical geothermal springs across Xizang and explore the anomalous enrichment mechanism of RMEs, and the resource effects of geothermal springs. Comprehensive analysis shows that the total dissolved solids(TDS) and hydrochemical types of geothermal springs are similar to those of major geothermal fields worldwide, but the Tibetan springs are abnormally rich in Li(averaging5.48 mg/L), Rb(averaging 0.75 mg/L), and Cs(averaging 3.58 mg/L), which are hundreds to thousands of times more concentrated than natural waters. The distribution of these enriched geothermal springs is controlled by the Yarlung Zangbo suture zone and the extended N-S trending rifts, especially in the intersection zone of the two, where the geothermal springs are the most enriched. The ammonium exceedance discharge from sewage treatment plants has a great risk to the stable operation of subsequent constructed wetlands(CWs).The effects of high ammonium shocks on submerged macrophytes and epiphytic biofilms on the leaves of submerged macrophytes in CWs were rarely mentioned in previous *** this paper,the 16S rRNA sequencing method was used to investigate the variation of the microbial communities in biofilms on the leaves of Vallisneria natans plants while the growth characteristics of *** plants were measured at different initial ammonium *** results demonstrated that the total chlorophyll and soluble sugar synthesis of *** plants decreased by 51.45%and 57.16%,respectively,and malondialdehyde content increased threefold after8 days if the initial NH_(4)^(+)-N concentration was more than 5 mg/*** density,bacterial quantity,dissolved oxygen,and pH increased with high ammonium *** average removal efficiencies of total nitrogen and NH_(4)^(+)-N reached 73.26%and 83.94%,*** heat map and relative abundance analysis represented that the relative abundances of phyla Proteobacteria,Cyanobacteria,and Bacteroidetes *** numbers of autotrophic nitrifiers and heterotrophic nitrification aerobic denitrification(HNAD)bacteria expanded in *** particular,HNAD bacteria of Flavobacterium,Hydrogenophaga,Acidovorax,Acinetobacter,Pseudomonas,Aeromonas,and Azospira had higher abundances than autotrophic nitrifiers because there were organic matters secreted from declining leaves of *** *** analysis of the nitrogen metabolic pathway showed aerobic denitrification was the main nitrogen removal ***,the nitrification and denitrification bacterial communities increased in epiphytic biofilms on submerged macrophytes in constructed wetlands while submerged macrophytes declined under ammonium shock loading.
