Chlorine has been widely used in different advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)for micropollutants *** this study,different chlorine-based AOPs,namely medium pressure(MP)UV/chlorine,low pressure(LP)UV/chlorine,and in-situ chlorination,were compared for carbamazepine(CBZ)removal efficiency,energy consumption,and disinfection by-products(DBPs)*** three processes could achieve nearly 100%CBZ removal,while the reaction time needed by in-situ chlorination was double the time required by UV/chlorine *** energy consumed per magnitude of CBZ removed(EE/O)of MP UV/chlorine was 13 times higher than that of LP UV/chlorine,and relative to that of in-situ chlorination ***,MP and LP UV/chlorine processes generated one to two orders of magnitude more hydroxyl radicals(^(·)OH)and reactive chlorine species(RCS)than in-situ ***,RCS were the dominant reactive species,contributing to 78.3%,75.6%,and 71.6% of CBZ removal in MP,LP UV/chlorine,and in-situ chlorination,*** to the Gibbs free energy barriers between CBZ and RCS/^(·)OH calculated based on density functional theory(DFT),RCS had more reaction routes with CBZ and showed lower energy barrier in the main CBZ degradation pathways like epoxidation and formation of *** applied to secondary wastewater effluent,UV/chlorine and in-situ chlorination produced overall DBPs ranging from 104.77 to 135.41μg/***,the production of chlorate during UV/chlorine processes was 15 times higher than that during in-situ chlorination.

Boron is an important industrial raw material often sourced from minerals containing different compounds that cocrystallize,which makes it difficult to separate the mineral phases through conventional *** study proposed a new treatment called flash reduction-melting separation(FRMS)for boron-bearing iron *** this method,the concentrates were first flash-reduced at the temperature under which the particles melt,and the slag and the reduced iron phases disengaged at the particle *** reduc-tion and melting effects were achieved above 1550℃.The B_(2)O_(3) content in the separated slag was over 18wt%,and the B content in the iron was less than 0.03wt%.The proposed FRMS method was tested to investigate the effects of factors such as ore particle size and tem-perature on the reduction and melting steps with and without pre-reducing the raw *** mineral phase transformation and morphology evolution in the ore particles during FRMS were also comprehensively analyzed.

The wake induced vibration(WIV)of a one-and two-degree-of-freedom(1DOF,2DOF)downstream wave-cone cylinder(WCC)behind a stationary equal-size upstream wave-cone cylinder in the staggered arrangement is numerically investigated at subcritical Reynolds number of 3900 by using shear stressed transfer(SST)k-ωturbulence *** streamwise pitch ratios(P/Dm)vary from 4 to 6 with a fixed incident angleα=8°.Experimental measurements were also performed for the validation of the present numerical *** is found that the largest vibration amplitude in crossflow direction occurred at P/Dm=4,Ur=8 with small difference of streamwise vibration at P/Dm=4,*** from single wavy-cone cylinder(SWCC),the downstream flexible one of a pair staggered WCCs got larger vibration amplitude during phase switching stage instead of in-phase *** upstream wake will suppress the triple frequency of main frequency in the power spectra density(PSD)functions of Cl but stimulate the double one of *** intriguing vibration mechanism happened in all 2DOF cases where the trajectory of downstream WCC is a significant ellipse rather than a figure of *** transformation of phase switching and the variation of the main frequency of drag coefficient(Cd)can be explained by the vortex-shedding modes of downstream WCC.

Analysing the influence mechanism of the riblet protrusion height on turbulent drag components is more beneficial in organising the vortical structure over the riblet surface. Therefore, the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) is used to investigate the vortex structure over the riblet surface with different protrusion heights. Then, the variations of Reynolds stress and viscous shear stress in a turbulent channel are analysed. As a result, the drag reduction rate increases from 3.4% when the riblets are completely submerged in the turbulent boundary layer to 7.9% when the protrusion height is 11.2. Further analysis shows that the protrusion height affects the streamwise vortices and the normal diffusivity of spanwise and normal vortices, thus driving the variation of Reynolds stress. Compared with the smooth surface, the vorticity strength and the number of streamwise vortices are weakened near the wall but increase in the logarithmic layer with increased protrusion height. Meanwhile, the normal diffusivity of spanwise vorticity decreases with the increase of protrusion height, and the normal diffusivity of normal vorticity is the smallest when the protrusion height is 11.2. Moreover, the protrusion height affects the velocity gradient of the riblet tip and riblet valley, thus driving the variation of viscous shear stress. With the increase of protrusion height, the velocity gradient of the riblet tip increases dramatically but decreases in the riblet valley. Understanding the relationship between forest management and water use efficiency(WUE)is important for evaluating forest adaptability to climate ***,the effects of thinning and understory removal on WUE and its key controlling processes are not well understood,which limits our comprehension of the physiological mechanisms of various management *** this study,four forest management measures(no thinning:NT;understory removal:UR;light thinning:LT;and heavy thinning:HT)were carried out in Pinus massoniana plantations in a subtropical region of *** capacity and needle stable carbon isotope composition(δ^(13)C)were measured to assess instantaneous water use efficiency(WUE_(inst))and long-term water use efficiency(WUE_(i)).Multiple regression models and structural equation modelling(SEM)identified the effects of soil properties and physiological performances on WUE_(inst)and WUE_(i).The results show that WUE_(inst)values among the four treatments were ***,compared with the NT stand(35.8μmol·mol^(-1)),WUE_(i)values significantly increased to 41.7μmol·mol^(-1)in the UR,50.1μmol·mol^(-1)in the LT and 46.6μmol·mol^(-1)in HT treatments,largely explained by photosynthetic capacity and soil water *** removal did not change physiological performance(needle water potential and photosynthetic capacity).Thinning increased the net photosynthetic rate(A_n)but not stomatal conductance(g_s)or predawn needle water potential(ψ_(pd)),implying that the improvement in water use efficiency for thinned stands was largely driven by radiation interception than by soil water *** general,thinning may be an appropriate management measure to promote *** WUE to cope with seasonal droughts under future extreme climates.

A simple solvothermal method was used to obtain W-Mo bimetallic oxides from W-Mo alloy scrap,and pure metal powders were also used as the raw materials to simulate *** products had a sea urchin-like structure with abundant oxygen vacancies and the products prepared at low temperatures forms a sosoloid resembling orthorhombic *** WMo bimetallic oxide prepared at the reaction temperature of 120 ℃ exhibited excellent selective adsorption performance for methylene blue（MB）,which the adsorption rate of MB reached 99% in 12 min and the adsorption rate reached 90% after6 adsorption *** the W-Mo molar ratio is 1:3,the maximum adsorption capacity of sample for MB can reach1148 mg·*** adsorption process followed the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order models,which is surface-controlled monolayer *** experimental results show the feasibility of preparing W-Mo bimetal oxide products from pure materials and *** process is simple and effective,which offered a potential approach for secondary resource recycling and reusing.
