Metal-free carbon,as the most representative heterogeneous metal-free catalysts,have received considerable interests in electro-and thermo-catalytic reac-tions due to their impressive performance and *** the past decade,well-designed carbon catalysts with tunable structures and heteroatom groups coupled with various characterization techniques have proposed numerous reaction ***,active sites,key intermediate species,precise structure-activity relationships and dynamic evolution processes of carbon catalysts are still rife with controversies due to the monotony and limitation of used experimental *** this Review,we sum-marize the extensive efforts on model catalysts since the 2000s,particularly in the past decade,to overcome the influences of material and structure limitations in metal-free carbon *** both nanomolecule model and bulk model,the real contribution of each alien species,defect and edge configuration to a series of fundamentally important reactions,such as thermocatalytic reactions,electrocatalytic reactions,were systematically *** with in situ techniques,isotope labeling and size control,the detailed reaction mechanisms,the precise 2D structure-activity relationships and the rate-determining steps were revealed at a molecular ***,the outlook of model carbon catalysis has also been proposed in this work.

Joined AZ31B Magnesium Alloys with Ag Interlayer by Ultrasonic-Induced Transient Liquid Phase Bonding in Air

AZ31B magnesium alloys are commonly used in lightweight structures of automobile and aerospace *** this work,the ultrasonic-induced transient liquid phase bonding technique is deployed to joint AZ31B magnesium alloys at 490℃ with Ag interlayer in the *** effect of ultrasonic vibration on microstructure and mechanical properties of welding seam is *** vibration duration increases,the width of the welding seam increases firstly and then *** the ultrasound vibration sustained for one second,the eutectic reaction occurred in the contacting interface between Ag interlayer and the base metal AZ31B,resulting in formation of liquid phase and metallurgical *** the ultrasound vibration sustained for seven second,the width of the welding seam increased to a maximum of about 303.1μm and the average shear bond strength of the welding joint attained the peak value of about 66.87 *** the ultrasound vibration sustained over seven seconds,the liquid phase is gradually squeezed out and the width of the welding seam decreases.α-Mg and AgMg_(3) can be observed in the welding *** analysis shows thatα-Mg has a certain strengthening *** whole process of appearance,growth and integration ofα-Mg is analyzed.

Stimuli-triggered release and alleviating resistance of iridium(Ⅲ)-based drugs at tumor sites remains challengeable for clinical hepatoma ***,a doxorubicin@iridium-transferrin(DOX@Ir-TF)nanovesicle was synthesized by carboxylated-transferrin(TF)and doxorubicin-loaded amphiphilic iridium-amino with quaternary ammonium(QA)groups and disulfide *** QA groups enhanced photophysical properties and broadened production capacity of photoinduced-reactive oxygen species(ROS),while the disulfide-bridged bonds regulated oxidative stress levels through reacting with glutathione(GSH);simultaneously,modification of TF improved recognition and endocytosis of the nanovesicle for tumor *** on in-vitro results,a controlled-release behavior of DOX upon a dualresponsiveness of GSH and near-infrared ray(NIR)irradiation was presented,along with high-efficiency generation of *** an intravenous injection,the nanovesicle was targeted at tumor sites,realizing TF-navigated photoacoustic imaging guidance and synergistic chemotherapy-photodynamic therapy under NIR/GSH ***,newly-synthesized DOX@Ir-TF nanovesicle provided a potential in subcutaneous hepatocellular carcinoma therapy due to integrations of targeting delivery,dual-stimuli responsive release,synergistic therapy strategy,and real-time monitoring.

Artificial visual systems can recognize desired objects and information from complex environments, and are therefore highly desired for pattern recognition, object detection, and imaging applications. However, state-of-the-art artificial visual systems with high recognition performances that typically consist of electronic devices face the challenges of requiring huge storage space and high power consumption owing to redundant data. Here, we report a terahertz(THz) frequency-selective surface using a graphene split-ring resonator driven by ferroelectric polarization for efficient visual system applications. The downward polarization of the ferroelectric material offers an ultrahigh electrostatic field for doping p-type graphene with an anticipated Fermi level. By optimizing the geometric parameters of the devices and modulating the carrier behaviors of graphene, our plasmonic devices exhibit a tunable spectral response in a range of 1.7–6.0 THz with continuous transmission values. The alloptical neural network using graphene plasmonic surfaces designed in this study exhibited excellent performance in visual preprocessing and convolutional filtering and achieved an ultrahigh recognition accuracy of up to 99.3% in training the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology(MNIST) handwritten digit dataset. These features demonstrate the great potential of graphene plasmonic devices for future smart artificial vision systems.

Comparative Experimental Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Building Exterior Surface at High and Low Altitudes

The external surface heat transfer coefficient of building envelope is one of the important parameters necessary for building energy saving design,but the basic data in high-altitude area are ***,the authors propose a modified measurement method based on the heat balance of a model building,and use the same model building to measure its external surface heat transfer coefficient under outdoor conditions in Chengdu city,China at an altitude of 520 m and Daocheng city at an altitude of 3750 m *** results show that the total heat transfer coefficient(h_(t))of building surface in high-altitude area is reduced by 34.48%.The influence of outdoor wind speed on the convective heat transfer coefficient(h_(c))in high-altitude area is not as significant as that in low-altitude *** fitting relation between convection heat transfer coefficient and outdoor wind speed is also *** the same heating power,the average temperature rise of indoor and outdoor air at highaltitude is 41.9%higher than that at low altitude,and the average temperature rise of inner wall is 25.8%higher than that at low *** shows that high-altitude area can create a more comfortable indoor thermal environment than low-altitude area under the same energy consumption *** is not appropriate to use the heat transfer characteristics of the exterior surface of buildings in low-altitude area for building energy saving design and related heating equipment selection and system terminal matching design in high-altitude area.

Experimental Study of Local Scour Around Four Piles Under Different Attack Angles and Gap Ratios

In an effort to investigate and quantify the patterns of local scour,researchers embarked on an in-depth study using a systematic experimental *** research focused on the effects of local scour around a set of four piles,each subjected to different hydromechanical *** particular,this study aimed to determine how different attack angles—the angles at which the water flow impinges on the piles,and gap ratios—the ratios of the spacing between the piles to their diameters,influence the extent and nature of scour.A comprehensive series of 35 carefully designed experiments were orchestrated,each designed to dissect the nuances in how the gap ratio and attack angle might contribute to changes in the local scour observed at the base of pile *** these experimental trials,a wealth of local scour data were collected to support the *** data included precise topographic profiles of the sediment bed around the pile groups,as well as detailed scour time histories showing the evolution of scour at strategic feature points throughout the test *** analysis of the experimental data provided interesting *** study revealed that the interplay between the gap ratio and the attack angle had a pronounced influence on the scouring dynamics of the pile *** of the key observations was that the initial phases of scour,particularly within the first hour of water flow exposure,were characterized by a sharp increase in the scour depth occurring immediately in front of the *** this initial rapid development,the scour depth transitioned to a more gradual change *** contrast,the scour topography around the piles continuously *** suggests that sediment displacement and the associated sculpting of the seabed around pile foundations are sustained and progressive processes,altering the underwater landscape over *** results of this empirical investigation have significant implications for the design and constructio

Light-triggered fluorochromic cholesteric liquid crystal elastomer with hydrogen-bonded fluorescent switch: dualmodal-switchable circularly polarized luminescence

Solid materials with dynamically tunable circularly polarized luminescence(CPL) feature higher security levels and devicefriendly characteristics, showing great superiority in the field of information technology and anti-counterfeiting. To address the limited photoisomerization of fluorescent photoswitch in CPL-active solid materials, here a cholesteric liquid crystal elastomer(CLCE) containing a hydrogen-bonded(H-bonded) polymerizable fluorescent switch AHBA-PSD is prepared. Owing to the good flexibility and low glass-transition temperature of CLCE, AHBA-PSD shows a fast and fully reversible photocyclization/cycloreversion with fluorochromic behavior in CLCE. Further, by controlling the spectral overlapping area between the emission and reflection bands, the CLCE exhibits a strong CPL with a g_(lum) value of up to 0.76 accompanied by a reversible phototunable CPL signal. Meanwhile, the H-bond helps to stabilize the mechanical property, and the force-induced switching-off of CPL signal could be achieved due to the destroyed helical structures by external force. Finally, an automatically-recognized identification card with abundant chiroptical information is demonstrated.

Impact of Alcian blue and periodic acid Schiff expression on the prognosis of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma

BACKGROUND The Alcian blue(AB)and periodic acid Schiff(PAS)stains are representative mucus markers in gastric signet ring cell carcinoma(SRCC).They are low-cost special staining methods used to detect acidic mucus and neutral mucus,***,the clinical importance of the special combined AB and PAS stain is *** To investigate AB expression,PAS expression and the AB-to-PAS(A/P)ratio in gastric SRCC patients and to assess patient *** Paraffin-embedded sections from 83 patients with gastric SRCC were stained with AB and PAS,and signet ring cell positivity was assessed ***-histochemical staining for Ki67,protein 53(P53)and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)was performed *** cancer-specific survival(CSS)rate was estimated via Kaplan-Meier *** proportional hazards models were used for univariate and multivariate survival *** Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that the 3-year CSS rate was significantly greater in the high-PAS-expression subgroup than in the low-PAS-expression subgroup(P0.5 group(P=0.042).Univariate Cox regression analysis revealed that the factors affecting prognosis included tumor diameter,lymph node metastasis,vessel carcinoma embolus,tumor stage,the A/P ratio and the expression of Ki67,P53 and the *** multivariate regression analysis confirmed that low PAS expression[hazard ratio(HR)=3.809,95%confidence interval(CI):1.563-9.283,P=0.003]and large tumor diameter(HR=2.761,95%CI:1.086-7.020,P=0.033)were independent risk factors for poor *** A/P>0.5 is potentially a risk factor for prognosis,and low PAS expression is an independent risk factor in the prognosis of gastric *** expression and the A/P ratio could help in predicting the clinical prognosis of patients with SRCC.

We present a flexible manipulation and control of solitons via Bose-Einstein *** the presence of Rashba spin-orbit coupling and repulsive interactions within a harmonic potential,our investigation reveals the numerical local solutions within the *** manipulating the strength of repulsive interactions and adjusting spin-orbit coupling while maintaining a zero-frequency rotation,diverse soliton structures emerge within the *** include plane-wave solitons,two distinct types of stripe solitons,and odd petal solitons with both single and double *** stability of these solitons is intricately dependent on the varying strength of spin-orbit ***,stripe solitons can maintain a stable existence within regions characterized by enhanced spin-orbit coupling while petal solitons are unable to sustain a stable existence under similar *** rotational frequency is introduced to the system,solitons undergo a transition from stripe solitons to a vortex array characterized by a sustained *** rotational directions of clockwise and counterclockwise are non-equivalent owing to spin-orbit *** a result,the properties of vortex solitons exhibit significant variation and are capable of maintaining a stable existence in the presence of repulsive interactions.

Pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma(PACC)is a rare malignant tumor of pancreatic epithelial cells,which produces pancreatic exocrine *** originates from acinar cells and terminal branches of the pancreatic ducts in the exocrine tissue of the *** accounts for 1%−2%of pancreatic exocrine tumors[1].Herein,we present an elderly woman with PACC who recovered after effective laparoscopic *** tumor was located on the left side of the abdomen;imaging suggested that it was a gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the gastric wall origin,infiltrating the tail of the pancreas and omentum,while postoperative pathology suggested PACC.
