In recent years,the two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)have attracted renewed interest owing to their remarkable physical and chemical *** to that of graphene,the atomic thickness of TMDCs significantly limits their optoelectronic *** this study,we report a hybrid WS_(2)-optical-fibernanowire(WOFN)structure for broadband enhancement of the light-matter interactions,i.e.,light absorption,photoluminescence(PL)and second-harmonic generation(SHG),through evanescent field *** interactions between the anisotropic light field of an optical fiber nanowire(OFN)and the anisotropic second-order susceptibility tensor of WS_(2) are systematically studied theoretically and *** particular,an efficient SHG in the WOFN appears to be 20 times larger than that in the same OFN before the WS_(2) integration under the same ***,we show that strain can efficiently manipulate the PL and SHG in the WOFN owing to the large configurability of the silica *** results demonstrate the potential applications of waveguide-coupled TMDCs structures for tunable high-performance photonic devices.

In recent years, the collective motion properties of global rotation of the symmetric colliding system in relativistic energies have been investigated. In addition, the initial geometrical shape effects on the collective flows have been explored using a hydrodynamical model, a transport model, etc. In this work, we study the asymmetric ^(12)C+^(197)Au collision at 200 GeV/c and the effect of the exotic nuclear structure on the global rotation using a multi-phase transport model. The global angular momentum and averaged angular speed were calculated and discussed for the collision system at different evolution stages.

The zero degree calorimeter(ZDC) at RHICSTAR was installed in the year *** running for more than 10 years,the performance of the STAR-ZDC cannot maintain a proper status because of the radiation *** ZDC on RHIC-BRAHMS had been moved to STAR in 2011 after some *** present here the result of the tests as well as the physical performance of those ZDC modules between the 2011 and 2015 RHIC *** excellent energy resolution of the ZDC in heavy ion collision provides a good candidate for future detector development,such as the CSR experiment at CAS-Lanzhou facility.

The High Energy Photon Source(HEPS)is a 6 GeV diffraction-limited storage ring light source under *** swap-out injection is adopted with the depleted bunch recycled via high-energy accumulation in the *** extremely high beam energy density of the bunches with an ultra-low emittance(about 30 pm horizontally and 3 pm vertically)and high bunch charges(from 1.33 to 14.4 nC)extracted from the storage ring could cause hazardous damage to the extraction Lambertson magnet in case of extraction kicker *** this end,we proposed the use of a pre-kicker to spoil the bunches prior to extraction,significantly reducing the maximum beam energy density down to within a safe region while still maintaining highly efficient *** main parameters of the pre-kicker are simulated and discussed.

Total transmission plays an important role in efficiency improvement and wavefront control,and has made great progress in many applications,such as the optical film and signal ***,many traditional physical methods represented by transformation optics have been studied to achieve total ***,these methods have strict limitations on the size of the photonic structure,and the calculation is ***,we exploit deep learning to achieve this *** deep learning,the data-driven prediction and design are carried out by artificial neural networks(ANNs),which provide a convenient architecture for large dataset *** taking the transmission characteristic of the multi-layer stacks as an example,we demonstrate how optical materials can be designed by using *** trained network directly establishes the mapping from optical materials to transmission spectra,and enables the forward spectral prediction and inverse material design of total transmission in the given parameter *** work paves the way for the optical material design with special properties based on deep learning.

Optical microcavities have become an attractive platform for precision measurement with merits of ultrahigh sensitivity,miniature footprint and fast *** the achievements of ultrasensitive detection,optical microcavities still face significant challenges in the measurement of biochemical and physical processes with complex dynamics,especially when multiple effects are *** we demonstrate operando monitoring of the transition dynamics of a phase-change material via a self-referencing optofluidic *** use a pair of cavity modes to precisely decouple the refractive index and temperature information of the analyte during the phase-transition *** real-time measurements,we reveal the detailed hysteresis behaviors of refractive index during the irreversible phase transitions between hydrophilic and hydrophobic *** further extract the phase-transition threshold by analyzing the steady-state refractive index change at various power *** technology could be further extended to other materials and provide great opportunities for exploring on-demand dynamic biochemical processes.

An in-line,all-optical fiber modulator based on a stereo graphene–microfiber structure(GMF)utilizing the lab-on-rod technique was demonstrated in this *** to its unique spring-like geometry,an ultra-long GMF interaction can be achieved,and a modulation depth of,7.5 dB(,2.5 dB)and a modulation efficiency of,0.2 dB mW^(-1)(,0.07 dB mW^(-1))were demonstrated for two polarization *** modulation depth and modulation efficiency are more than one order of magnitude larger than those of other graphene–microfiber hybrid all-optical modulators,although at the cost of a higher insertion *** further optimizing the transferring and cleaning process,the upper limit of the modulation depth is mainly determined by the loss from the intrinsic absorption,which depends on the light–graphene ***,the modulator can quickly switch between the on-state and the off-state with a theoretically maximized modulation depth of tens of *** modulator is compatible with the current fiber-optic communication systems and may be applied in the near future to meet the impending need for ultrafast optical signal processing.

The Ω and ? production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions is studied in a dynamical quark coalescence model using the phase space information of strange quarks from a multiphase transport(AMPT) model. Enhanced local parton density fluctuation is implemented in the AMPT to simulate the QCD phase transition dynamics. By studying the transverse momentum pT spectra and the elliptic flow of the multi-strangeness particles, such as Ω and ? , and the Ω/? ratio as a function of pTin the AMPT,we find that the new development improves the description of experimental data. The study motivates further experimental investigations of Ω and ? production in phase Ⅱ of the Beam Energy Scan program at RHIC.

We argue that the difference in the yield ratio S3=NΛ3H/NΛ/N3He/Np measured in Au+Au collisions at √sNN=200 GeV and in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN=2.76 TeV is mainly owing to the different treatment of the weak decay contribution to the proton yield in the Au+Au collisions at √sNN=200 *** then use the coalescence model to extract from measured S3 the information about the Λ and nucleon density fluctuations at the kinetic freeze-out of heavy-ion *** also show,using available experimental data,that the yield ratio S2=NΛ3H/NΛNd is a more promising observable than S3 for probing the local baryon-strangeness correlation in the produced medium.
