Multi-photon bundle states are crucial for a broad range of applications such as quantum metrology,quantum lithography,quantum communication,and quantum *** we propose a scheme that generates multi-photon bundles via virtual excitations in a quantum Rabi *** approach utilizes a Ξ-type three-level atom,where the upper two levels are coupled to a cavity field to form a quantum Rabi model with ultrastrong coupling,and the transition between the lower two levels is driven by two sequences of Gaussian *** show that the driving pulses induce deterministic emission of multiple photons from the eigenstates of the quantum Rabi model via the stimulated Raman adiabatic passage technique,and hence can create bundles of multiple photons on-demand in the cavity output *** calculate the generalized second-order correlation functions of the output photons,which reveal that the emitted photons form antibunched multi-photon bundles.

N2 and N3 are known as the transition points of the three principal stages of fatigue: initial accommodation, accretion of damage and terminal fatigue. Many experiments show that the ratios of N2/Nf and N3/Nf tend to be stable even though the specific N2 and N3 values may fluctuate widely. The primary goal of this research is to study the piezomagnetic field surrounding AISI 1018 steel specimen under repeated loads and to find the ratio values of N2/Nf and N3/Nf by analyzing 11 sets of low-cycle fatigue data. An MTS-810 testing system with a peak capacity of 222 kN was used to obtain the data which consisted of stress, strain, and piezomagnetic field. A computer program was constructed to track the evolution of the piezomagnetic field and re- gression analysis was carried out to determine N2 and N3 values. It was observed that there exists a consistent relationship between N2 and Nf. The apparent invariance of the ratio N2/Nf implies that N2 may be identified as an index of performance in the early loading response of a specimen that forecasts its fatigue life, Nf. It has been demonstrated that measurements of the magnetic and mechanical hysteresis can yield significant insights into the various stages of the development of a fatigue critical microstructure which culminates in complete rupture of the material.

Influence of Re-Ti modification on the high impact wear resistance of high Si bainitic cast steel

The effect of rare earth （Re） and titanium （Ti） multi-modification on the impact wear behavior of Mn-B high-Si bainitic cast steel was investigated systematically. The experiments show that the impact wear resistance can be improved greatly with the addition of Re and Ti. Its wear loss is only about 1/3-1/2 as large as that of the unmodified bainitic cast steel. By the Re/Ti modification, coarse dendrite grains and bainitic/martensite duplex structure have been refined effectively, and the impact toughness of the bainitic cast steel is nearly tripled （10 mm×10 mm×55 mm, with unnotched sample）. Consequently, the modified bainitic cast steel possesses good wear resistance under high im- pact. For both modified and unmodified bainitic cast steels, high hardness white layer and deformed zone are developed beneath the worn surface under the high impact wear, but the formation and propagation of cracks are different for these bainitic casting steels. Different mod- els for the formation and propagation of cracks for both modified and unmodified bainitic cast steels under high impact wear are proposed.

Hot deformation behavior of a new type of M3∶ 2 high speed steel with niobium addition made by spray forming was investigated based on compression tests in the temperature range of 950-1 150 ℃ and strain rate of 0. 001-10 s^（-1）. A comprehensive constitutive equation was obtained,which could be used to predict the flow stress at different strains. Processing map was developed on the basis of the flow stress data using the principles of dynamic material model. The results showed that the flow curves were in fair agreement with the dynamic recrystallization model. The flow stresses,which were calculated by the comprehensive constitutive equation,agreed well with the test data at low strain rates（ ≤1 s^（-1））. The material constant（ α）,stress exponent（ n） and the hot deformation activation energy（ Q_（HW）） of the new steel were 0. 006 15 MPa^（-1）,4. 81 and 546 kJ·mol^（-1）,respectively. Analysis of the processing map with an observation of microstructures revealed that hot working processes of the steel could be carried out safely in the domain（ T = 1 050-1 150 ℃,ε = 0. 01- 0. 1 s^（-1））with about 33% peak efficiency of power dissipation（ η）. Cracks was expected in two domains at either lower temperatures（〈 1 000 ℃） or low strain rates（ 0. 001 s^（-1）） with different cracking mechanisms. Flow localization occurred when the strain rates exceeded 1 s^（-1） at all testing temperatures.

Accuracy of a combined score of zygote and embryo morphology for selecting the best embryos for IVF

Objective:To evaluate the accuracy of a scoring system combining zygote and embryo morphology in predicting the outcome of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. Methods: In a study group, 117 consecutive IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles with embryo transfer were carried out and 312 embryos were scored using a combined scoring system (CSS) of zygote and embryo morphology before transplantation. In a control group, a total of 420 IVF or ICSI cycles were carried out and 1176 embryos were scored using a cumulative embryo score (CES). The effects of the combined scoring system on the embryo implantation rate and pregnancy rate per cycle were analyzed. Results: Using the combined scoring system, the embryo implan-tation rate (27.6%) and the clinical pregnancy rate (48.7%) were significantly higher than those in the control group (20.8% and 38.6%, respectively). Also, the implantation rate of embryos scoring ≥70 (38.5%: 82 sacs/213 embryos) was significantly higher (P<0.001) than that of embryos scoring <70 (4%: 4 sacs/99 embryos). The pregnancy rate of patients with embryos scoring ≥70 using the combined scoring system (66.7%) was significantly higher (P<0.001) than that of patients with embryos scoring ≥20 using the cumulative embryo score (59.0%). Conclusion: The results suggest that selecting embryos with a high score (≥70) using the combined scoring system could increase the implantation rate and pregnancy rate, and that using a scoring system combining assessments of human zygotes and pre-implantation embryos might predict IVF outcomes more accurately than using a cumula-tive embryo score.

A series of novel phenoxazinone derivatives （1-6） were designed and synthesized for evaluating their antitumor activities. The antiproliferative activities of the prepared compounds against representative human neoplastic cell lines were evaluated by MTF assay. The results showed that most of them inhibited cell proliferation in a submicromolar to rnicromolar range. These compounds were also evaluated against KBv200 and MCF-7/Adr cell lines, which overexpress the MDR/P-glycoprotein drug efflux pump responsible for drug resistance, and had a more potential for resisting MDR than their lead compound APO.

We study the spectrum of single-photon emission and scattering in a mixed optomechanical model which consists of both linear and quadratic optomechanical *** spectra are calculated based on the exact longtime solutions of the single-photon emission and scattering processes in this *** find that there exist some phonon sideband peaks in the spectra and there are some sub peaks around the phonon sideband peaks under proper parameter *** correspondence between the spectral features and the optomechanical interactions is confirmed, and the optomechanical coupling strengths can be inferred by analyzing the resonance peaks and dips in the spectra.
