BACKGROUND Bipolar disorder(BD)is a severe mental *** often coexists with borderline personality disorders,making the condition more *** To explore the differences in cognitive impairment between patients with BD and those with BD comorbid with borderline personality *** Eighty patients with BD and comorbid borderline personality disorder and 80 patients with BD alone were included in groups A and B,respectively,and 80 healthy volunteers were included as *** function in each group was evaluated using the Chinese version of the repeatable battery for the assess-ment of neuropsychological status(RBANS),the Stroop color-word test,and the Wechsler intelligence scale-revised(WAIS-RC).RESULTS The indices of the RBANS,Stroop color-word test,and WAIS-RC in groups A and B were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Group A had significantly longer Stroop color-word test times for single-character,single-color,double-character,and double-color,lower scores of immediate memory,visual breadth,verbal function dimensions and total score of the RBANS,as well as lower scores of verbal IQ,performance IQ,and overall IQ of the WAIS-RC compared with group B(P<0.05).Compared to group B,group A exhibited significantly longer single-character time,single-color time,double-character time,and double-color time in the Stroop color-word test(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The cognitive function of patients with BD complicated with borderline personality disorder is lower than that of patients with BD.

Assessment of climate damage in China based on integrated assessment framework

Developing a localized and consistent model framework for climate loss and damage assessment is crucial for the policy-making of climate change mitigation and *** study introduces a comprehensive,multidisciplinary Integrated Assessment Model(IAM)framework for evaluating climate damage in China,utilizing BCC-SESM climate model and FUND sectoral climate damage model under the SSP2-RCPs *** a bottom-up approach,the research estimates climate damage across eight major sectors,recalibrates sectoral climate damage functions and parameters for China,and elucidates distinctions among direct climate loss,market climate loss,and aggregate climate *** findings reveal that the total climate damage function for China follows a quadratic pattern in response to temperature *** 2050,the estimated climate damage is projected to be 5.4%,5.7%,and 8.2%of GDP under RCP2.6,RCP4.5,and RCP8.5,***,both direct and market climate losses are projected to remain below 2%of GDP by 2050,while the aggregate climate loss could reach as high as 8.2%,which is predominantly attributed to non-market *** a sectoral perspective,under the RCP8.5 scenario,human health damage constitutes the largest share(61.9%)of the total climate loss by 2050,followed by sea-level rise damage(18.6%).This study sheds lights on the adaptation policy that should attach importance to the non-market sectors,particularly focusing on human health and sea-level rise.

In-situ Micro-CT analysis of deformation behavior in sandwich-structured meta-stable beta Ti−35Nb alloy

Beta Ti−35Nb sandwich-structured composites with various reinforcing layers were designed and produced using additive manufacturing(AM)to achieve a balance between light weight and high *** impact of reinforcing layers on the compressive deformation behavior of porous composites was investigated through micro-computed tomography(Micro-CT)and finite element method(FEM)*** results indicate that the addition of reinforcement layers to sandwich structures can significantly enhance the compressive yield strength and energy absorption capacity of porous metal structures;Micro-CT in-situ observation shows that the strain of the porous structure without the reinforcing layer is concentrated in the middle region,while the strain of the porous structure with the reinforcing layer is uniformly distributed;FEM analysis reveals that the reinforcing layers can alter stress distribution and reduce stress concentration,thereby promoting uniform deformation of the porous *** addition of reinforcing layer increases the compressive yield strength of sandwich-structured composite materials by 124%under the condition of limited reduction of porosity,and the yield strength increases from 4.6 to 10.3 MPa.

Neutron resonance imaging(NRI)has recently emerged as an appealing technique for neutron *** complexity surpasses that of conventional transmission imaging,as it requires a high demand for both a neutron source and ***,the progression of NRI technology has been sluggish since its inception in the 1980s,particularly considering the limited studies analyzing the neutron energy range above *** white neutron source(Back-n)at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)provides favorable beam conditions for the development of the NRI technique over a wide neutron energy range from eV to ***-sensitive microchannel plates(MCP)have emerged as a cutting-edge tool in the field of neutron detection owing to their high temporal and spatial resolutions,high detection efficiency,and low *** this study,we report the development of a 10B-doped MCP detector,along with its associated electronics,data processing system,and NRI experiments at the *** heavy elements such as gold,silver,tungsten,and indium can be easily identified in the transmission images by their characteristic resonance peaks in the 1–100 eV energy range;the more difficult medium-weight elements such as iron,copper,and aluminum with resonance peaks in the 1–100 keV energy range can also be *** particular,results in the neutron energy range of dozens of keV(Aluminum)are reported here for the first time.

Numerical simulation of typhoon-induced storm surge along Jiangsu coast,PartⅡ:Calculation of storm surge

The Jiangsu coastal area is located in central-eastern China and is well known for complicated dynamics with large-scale radial sand ridge systems. It is therefore a challenge to simulate typhoon-induced storm surges in this area. In this study, a two-dimensional astronomical tide and storm surge coupling model was established to simulate three typical types of typhoons in the area. The Holland parameter model was used to simulate the wind field and wind pressure of the typhoon and the Japanese 55-year reanalysis data were added as the background wind field. The offshore boundary information was provided by an improved Northwest Pacific Ocean Tide Model. Typhoon-induced storm surges along the Jiangsu coast were calculated based on analysis of wind data from 1949 to 2013 and the spatial distribution of the maximum storm surge levels with different types of typhoons, providing references for the design of sea dikes and planning for control of coastal disasters.

Tailoring microstructures of CoCrFeNiNb_(0.25)hypoeutectic high-entropy alloy by hot deformation

CoCrFeNiNb_(0.25)hypoeutectic high-entropy alloy(HEA)has shown good mechanical ***,due to interdendritic eutectics,it is challenging to further optimize the microstructure through cold rolling and *** current study showed that hot defor-mation effectively tailored the hypoeutectic *** investigated the hot deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of the dual-phase CoCrFe-NiNb_(0.25) HEA at different temperatures from 800 to 1000℃and different strain rates from 0.01 to 10.00 s^(-1).The systematic investigation showed the deformation activation energy around 500 kJ·mol^(-1).Microstructure with refined grains and uniformly distributed Laves phases can be obtained after 70%compression at 900℃with a strain rate of 0.01 s^(-1).

Synthesis of New Soluble Polyarylates Containing Phthalazinone Moiety

A novel diacid chloride, 2-（4-chlorocarboxyphenyl）-4-[3,5-dimethyl-4-（4-chlorocarbo-xylphenoxy）phenyl]-2,3-phthalazin-l-one 2, was synthesized and used for the preparation of polyarylates with inherent viscosities of 0.25-0.37 dL·g^-1. The glass transition temperatures of polyarylates were in the range of 217-272℃. The temperatures at 10% weight loss of polyarylates were found to be in the range of 434-464℃ in nitrogen atmosphere and their structure was confirmed by FTIR and IH NMR. The amorphous polyarylates exhibited excellent solubility in a variety of solvents such as NMP, DMAc, DMF and chloroform.

Effect of interface anisotropy on tilted growth of eutectics:A phase field study

Interfacial energy anisotropy plays an important role in tilted growth of eutectics. However, previous studies mainly focused on the solid-solid interface energy anisotropy, and whether the solid-liquid interface energy anisotropy can significantly affect the tilted growth of eutectics still remains unclear. In this study, a multi-phase field model is employed to investigate both the effect of solid-liquid interfacial energy anisotropy and the effect of solid-solid interfacial energy anisotropy on tilted growth of eutectics. The findings reveal that both the solid-liquid interfacial energy anisotropy and the solid-solid interfacial energy anisotropy can induce the tilted growth of eutectics. The results also demonstrate that when the rotation angle is within a range of 30°-60°, the growth of tilted eutectics is governed jointly by the solid-solid interfacial energy anisotropy and the solid-liquid interfacial energy anisotropy;otherwise, it is mainly controlled by the solid-solid interfacial energy anisotropy. Further analysis shows that the unequal pinning angle at triple point caused by the adjustment of the force balance results in different solute-diffusion rates on both sides of triple point. This will further induce an asymmetrical concentration distribution along the pulling direction near the solid-liquid interface and the tilted growth of eutectics. Our findings not only shed light on the formation mechanism of tilted eutectics but also provide theoretical guidance for controlling the microstructure evolution during eutectic solidification.

Effect of Mo Addition on Corrosion Behavior of High-Entropy Alloys CoCrFeNiMo_x in Aqueous Environments

The corrosion behavior of CoCrFeNiMo_x alloys was investigated in aqueous environments, NaCl and H_2SO_4 solutions,respectively, to simulate typical neutral and acidic conditions. The cyclic polarization curves in NaCl and the potentiodynamic curves in H_2SO_4 clearly reveal the beneficial effects of Mo and the detrimental effect of σ-phase on the corrosion resistance. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results of CoCrFeNiMo_x alloys in H_2SO_4 solution indicate that Cr and Mo predominate the corroded surface of the alloys, where Mo primarily exists in the form of MoO_3.

PHOTO CROSS-LINKED BIODEGRADABLE HYDROGELS FOR ENHANCED VANCOMYCIN LOADING AND SUSTAINED RELEASE

A series of biodegradable hydrogels based on dextran and poly（L-glutamic acid） were fabricated for effective vancomycin loading and release. The preparation of hydrogels was simply achieved by photo cross-linking of methacrylated dextran and poly（L-glutamic acid）-g-hydroxyethyl methacrylate （PGH） in the presence of photoinitiator 12959. The structures of hydrogels were characterized by FTIR and SEM. The swelling and enzymatic degradation behaviors of hydrogels were examined to be dependent on the poly（L-glutamic acid） content in the hydrogels. The higher content of poly（L-glutamic acid） in the gel, the higher swelling ratio and quicker degradation were observed. More interestingly, the hydrogel with higher PGH ratio showed higher vancomycin （VCM） loading content, which might be due to the electrostatic interaction between carboxylate groups in hydrogel and ammonium group of VCM. In vitro drug release from the VCM-loaded hydrogels in aqueous solution exhibited sustained release of VCM up to 72 h, while the in vitro antibacterial test based on the VCM-loaded hydrogel showed an efficient Methicillin-Resistant S. aureus （MRSA） inhibition extending out to 7 days. These results demonstrated that the biodegradable hydrogels which formed by in situ photo-cross linking would be promising as scaffolds or coatings for local antibacterial drug release in tissue engineering.
