BACKGROUND Hepatic cystic and alveolar echinococcosis coinfections,particularly with concurrent abscesses and sinus tract formation,are extremely *** article presents a case of a patient diagnosed with this unique presentation,discussing the typical imaging manifestations of both echinococcosis types and detailing the diagnosis and surgical treatment experience *** SUMMARY A 39-year-old Tibetan woman presented with concurrent hepatic cystic and alveolar echinococcosis,accompanied by abdominal wall abscesses and sinus tract *** conventional imaging examinations suggested only hepatic cystic echinococcosis,but intraoperative and postoperative pathological examination revealed the *** radical resection of the lesions,the patient’s condition improved,and she was discharged soon *** outpatient follow-ups confirmed no recurrence of the hydatid lesion and normal surgical wound *** mixed hepatic cystic and alveolar echinococcosis with abdominal wall abscesses and sinus tract formations are rare,the general treatment approach remains consistent with that of simpler infections of alveolar *** Lesions involving the abdominal wall and sinus tract formation,may require radical ***-term prognosis includes albendazole and follow-up examinations.

为了解多层连接结构的轴向应力分布,从双层法兰螺栓连接结构连接轴向载荷分布着手,建立了被连接件轴向应力分布的中空椭球体分布模型,推导出被连接件的轴向连接刚度理论表达式;并进行了连接结构扭矩与预紧力关系的试验及压力分布测试试验;将该模型应用于航空发动机多层法兰连接结构,采用数值模型和试验方法对中空椭球体模型进行验证。结果表明:测试试验件预紧力与力矩呈正相关,且拧紧系数约为0.2,可满足工程中无润滑条件下螺栓拧紧力矩系数的经验值;连接界面接触范围随扭矩的增大先增大到一定范围后保持不变;与被连接件轴向应力分布的试验测试结果相比,采用改进的中空椭球体模型和原中空圆锥体模型的计算结果的最大误差分别为9.42%和21.97%,证明了改进的中空椭球体分布模型的精度较高。

Against the backdrop of a global paper resource shortage,there is a growing need to identify fast-growing tree species capable of producing long-lasting *** plant species namely Broussonetia kazinoki,Broussonetia papyrifera and hybrid paper mulberry,belong to the Broussonetia genus,were collected from China to study their white bark suitability for pulp and *** chemical composition revealed that the holocellulose content in Broussonetia kazinoki and Broussonetia papyrifera was more than 80%.The molecular weight distribution of several holocellulose/α-cellulose is observed by GPC,which allows us to better observe the changes of various components on the molecular *** yield,lignin,whiteness,and molecular weight of the pulps obtained by NaOH treatment were *** microscope was used to characterize the fiber length-width ratio and ***,the improvement of the fiber rigidity method based on the Kratky-Porod chain model makes it more theoretical and further reveals the influencing factors of fiber *** study demonstrates the high potentiality of these three species for papermaking applications.

Combined Treatment with Bojungikgi-tang(Buzhong Yiqi Decoction)and Riluzole Attenuates Cell Death in TDP-43-Expressing Cells

Objective To examine the effect of combined treatment with Bojungikgi-tang(BJIGT,Buzhong Yiqi Decoction)and riluzole(RZ)in transactive response DNA-binding protein 43(TDP-43)stress granule(SG)cells,a amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)cell line using transcriptomic and molecular *** TDP-43 SG cells were pretreated with BJIGT(100µg/mL),RZ(50µmol/L),and combined BJIGT(100µg/mL)/RZ(50µmol/L)for 6 h before treatment with lipopolysaccharide(LPS,200µmol/L).Cell viability assay was performed to elucidate cell toxicity in TDP-43 SC cells using a cell-counting kit-8(CCK8)assay *** expression levels of cell death-related proteins,including Bax,caspase 1,cleaved caspase 3 and DJ1 in TDP-43 SG cells were examined by Western blot *** autophagy-related proteins,including pmTOR/mTOR,LC3b,P62,ATG7 and Bcl-2-associated athanogene 3(Bag3)were investigated using immunofluorescence and immunoblotting *** Cell viability assay and Western blot analysis showed that combined treatment with BJIGT and RZ suppressed LPS-induced cell death and expression of cell death-related proteins,including Bax,caspase 1,and DJ1(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Immunofluorescence and immunoblotting assays showed that combined treatment with BJIGT and RZ reduced LPS-induced formation of TDP-43 aggregates and regulated autophagy-related protein levels,including p62,light chain 3b,Bag3,and ATG7,in TDP-43-expressing cells(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion The combined treatment of BJIGT and RZ might reduce inflammation and regulate autophagy dysfunction in TDP-43-induced ALS.

Production of Functional Materials Derived from Regenerated Silk Fibroin by Utilizing 3D Printing and Biomimetic Enzyme-induced Mineralization

Critical-sized bone defects, commonly encountered in clinical orthopedic surgery, present a significant challenge. One of the promising solutions is to prepare synthetic bone substitute materials with precise structural control, mechanical compatibility, and enhanced osteogenic induction performance, nevertheless the successful preparation of such materials remains difficult. In this study, a two-step technique,integrating an extrusion-based printing process with biomimetic mineralization induced by alkaline phosphatase(ALP), was developed. Initially,a pre-cured hydrogel of regenerated silk fibroin(RSF) with a small quantity of hydroxypropyl cellulose(HPC) and ALP was prepared through heating the mixed aqueous solution. This pre-cured hydrogel demonstrated thixotropic property and could be directly extruded into predetermined structures through a 3D-printer. Subsequently, the 3D-printed RSF-based materials with ALP underwent biomimetic in situ mineralization in calcium glycerophosphate(Ca-GP) mineralizing solution, utilizing the polymer chains of RSF as templates and ALP as a trigger for cleaving phosphate bonds of Ca-GP. The resulting 3D-printed RSF-mineral composites including hydrogel and sponge possessed adjustable compression modulus of megapascal grade and variable hydroxyapatite content, which could be controlled by manipulating the duration of the mineralization ***, these 3D-printed RSF-mineral composites demonstrated non-cytotoxicity towards rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Therefore, they may hold great potential for applications involving the replacement of tissues characterized by osteoinductivity and intricate structures.

Polydopamine-modified metal-organic frameworks nanoparticles enhance the corrosion resistance and bioactivity of polycaprolactone coating on high-purity magnesium

Biodegradable magnesium（Mg） and its alloys exhibit excellent biocompatibility and mechanical compatibility, demonstrating tremendous potential for applications in orthopedics. However, the rapid degradation rate has limited their clinical application. Polycaprolactone（PCL）is commonly employed as a polymer coating to impede the rapid degradation of Mg. Unfortunately, its long-term anti-corrosion capability and bioactivity are inadequate. To address these issues, polydopamine（PDA）-modified zeolitic imidazolate framework-8（PZIF-8） bioactive nanoparticles are fabricated and incorporated into the PCL coating. The PZIF-8 particles, featuring catechol motifs, can enhance the compactness of the PCL coating, reduce its defects, and possess biomineralization ability, thereby effectively improving its anti-corrosive and bioactive properties. Moreover, the active substances released from the degradation of the PZIF-8 particles such as Zn2+and PDA are beneficial for osteogenesis. The corrosion tests indicate that the corrosion current density of PCL-treated sample decreases by more than one order of magnitude and the amount of H2released decreases from 0.23 ± 0.12 to 0.08 ± 0.08 ml cm-2after doping with the PZIF-8. Furthermore,the improved corrosion resistance and released PDA and Zn2+from the coating can promote osteogenic differentiation by up-regulating the expression of alkaline phosphatase activity, related osteogenic genes, and proteins. In addition, in vivo implantation experiments in rabbit femur defects further offer strong evidence that the doping of PZIF-8 nanoparticles accelerates bone reconstruction of the PCL coating. In summary, this work implies a new strategy to fabricate a PCL-based coating on Mg-based implants by introducing the PZIF-8 particles for orthopedic applications.

Li-O_(2)batteries with high energy density hold significant promise as next-generation energy storage ***,Li-O_(2)batteries have poor cycling performance at high current densities and large capacities,primarily due to the high impedance caused by the instability of the lithium anode and the sluggish kinetics in the discharge products decomposition on the ***,we investigated a bifunctional nitrile additive(2-methoxy benzonitrile(2-MBN))with good chemical/electrochemical stability to improve the performances of Li-O_(2)*** 2-MBN could actively modify the anode by ensuring uniform Li+deposition and optimizing the composition of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI).Meanwhile,it could also facilitate the decomposition of discharge products by inducing the formation of sheet-like Li_(2)O_(2),significantly reducing the battery charge *** bifunctional effects of 2-MBN for the anode and cathode enable Li-O_(2)batteries to achieve a stable lifetime of 97 cycles at a current density of 600 mA·g^(−1)with a fixed capacity of 2000 mAh·g^(−1),much better than that of Li-O_(2)batteries without 2-MBN(28 cycles).The inclusion of 2-MBN provides an effective approach for attaining high-performance Li-O_(2)batteries.

Active flutter suppression of nonlinear fin-actuator system via inverse system and immersion and invariance method

Structural nonlinearities such as freeplay will affect the stability and even flight safety of the fin-actuator *** is a lack of a practical method for designing Active Flutter Suppression (AFS) control laws for nonlinear fin-actuator systems.A design method for the AFS controller of the nonlinear all-movable fin-electromechanical actuator system is established by combining the inverse system and the Immersion and Invariance (I&I) ***,the composite control law combining the inverse system principle and internal model control is used to offset the nonlinearity and dynamics of the actuator,so that its driving torque can follow the ideal ***,the ideal torque of the actuator is designed employing the I&I *** unfavorable oscillation of the fin is suppressed by making the output torque of the actuator track the ideal *** simulation results reveal that the proposed AFS method can increase the flutter speed of the nonlinear finactuator system with freeplay,and a set of controller parameters is also applicable for wider freeplay within a certain *** power required for the actuator does not exceed the power that can be provided by the commonly used aviation *** method can also resist a certain level of noise and external disturbance.
