Coupling of quantum-dot circuits to microwave photons enables us to investigate photon-assisted quantum transport.Here,we revisit this typical circuit quantum electrodynamical setup by introducing the Kerr nonlinearity of photons.By exploiting quantum critical behavior,we propose a powerful scheme to control the power-harvesting efficiency in the microwave regime,where the driven-dissipative optical system acts as an energy pump.It drives electron transport against a load in the quantum-dot circuit.The energy transfer and,consequently,the harvesting efficiency are enhanced near the critical point.As the critical point moves towards to low input power,high efficiency within experimental parameters is achieved.Our results complement fundamental studies of photon-to-electron conversion at the nanoscale and provide practical guidance for designs of integrated photoelectric devices through quantum criticality.

A new alloaromadendrane-type sesquiterpene, （-）-alloaromadendrane-3β,9β-diol （1）, has been isolated from the aerial part of Caragana intermediia. The structure of （-）-alloaromadendrane-3β,9β-diol （1） was established by spectroscopic methods, including X-ray analysis that provided its relative stereochemistry. Bioassay showed that （-）-alloaromadendrane-3β,9β-diol （1） possesses anti-pyricularia oryzae P-2b activity with MIC value of 10 μg/m-L.

A direct Z-scheme CdFe_(2)O_(4)/g-C3N4 hybrid systems with different weight ratios of CdFe2O4 nanoparticles were successfully designed and constructed for ceftiofur sodium photodegradation.The as-obtained CdFe_(2)O_(4)/g-C_(3)N_(4) hybrid samples composed of CdFe_(2)O_(4) nanoparticles and g-C3N4 nanosheets were systematically characterized by different techniques including X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,transmission electron microscope,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,UV–vis DRS,chemical oxygen demand,inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer,photochemical test and electron spin resonance spectrometer technique.The optimal photocatalytic activity for ceftiofur sodium photodegradation was achieved by modulating the weight ration between CdFe_(2)O_(4) nanoparticles and g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheets.The result from photocatalytic tests indicate that Cd Fe_(2)O_(4)/g-C_(3)N_(4)-2 hybrid sample exhibit highly efficient photocatalytic activity towards ceftiofur sodium removal in comparison with pristine CdFe_(2)O_(4) nanoparticles and pure g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheets.Meanwhile the excellent photocatalytic stability of CdFe_(2)O_(4)/g-C_(3)N_(4)-2 hybrid sample was also verified during recycling runs towards photocatalytic ceftiofur sodium degradation.The significant enhancement of photocatalytic activity was attributed to the Z-scheme charge separation and transfer based on the construction of tight heterogeneous interface and well-matched band potentials.We expect this research to provide a new insight into the design and preparation of direct Z-scheme hybrid photocatalysts for environmental remediation.

This paper addresses the Phanerozoic tectonic evolution of the western Tarim Basin based on an integrated stratigraphic,structural and tectonic analysis.P-wave velocity data show that the basin has a stable and rigid basement.The western Tarim Basin experienced a complex tectonic evolutionary history,and this evolution can be divided into six stages:Neoproterozoic to Early Ordovician,Middle Ordovician to Middle Devonian,Late Devonian to Permian,Triassic,Jurassic to Cretaceous and Paleogene to Quaternary.The western Tarim Basin was a rift basin in the Neoproterozoic to Early Ordovician.From the Middle Ordovician to Middle Devonian,the basin consisted of a flexural depression in the south and a depression that changed from a rift depression to a flexural depression in the north during each period,i.e.,the Middle-Late Ordovician and the Silurian to Middle Devonian.During the Late Devonian to Permian,the basin was a depression basin early and then changed into a flexural basin late in each period,i.e.,the Late Devonian to Carboniferous and the Permian.In the Triassic,the basin was a foreland basin,and from the Jurassic to Cretaceous,it was a downwarped basin.After the Paleogene,the basin became a rejuvenated foreland basin.Based on two cross sections,we conclude that the extension and shortening in the profile reflect the tectonic evolution of the Tarim Basin.The Tarim Basin has become a composite and superimposed sedimentary basin because of its long-term and complicated tectonic evolutionary history,highly rigid and stable basement and large size.

Two new types of sandbars are found in distributary channels of the modern Ganjiang Delta,Poyang Lake,China,respectively named as branching-point bar(BPB) and merging-point bar(MPB).BPB is defined as sandbar formed at the branching point of a channel where one channel branches into two.MPB is defined as sandbar formed at the merging point of two channels.BPB results from current velocity decrease at the branching point.BPB,arrowhead-shaped and growing towards upstream through upstream accretion,can be divided into bar head,middle and tail.Bar head refers to the lower part of the bar below average low water level,submerges under water whether in rainy seasons or dry seasons,and no plants grow on it.Bar middle refers to the middle part of the bar between average low and average high water levels,and sparse plants grow on it.Bar tail refers to the upper part of the bar above average high water level,and plants grow densely on it.From bar head to bar tail,sediment becomes finer and sorting degree becomes poorer;plant fossils increase in number,and silting-mud layers increase both in number and thickness.Vertically BPB shows a fining-upward sequence.BPB can be classified into 3 types:baby BPB with only bar head,child BPB with bar head and middle,and adult BPB with bar head,middle and tail.Generally from the lower delta plain to upper delta plain,BPB becomes more and more mature.If a channel is suddenly abandoned,BPB at different stages may be preserved.MPB is very similar to BPB in depositional characteristics,and main differences lie in its origin and growth direction.Discovery of BPB and MPB has important implications in finding remaining oil in oilfields.Previously,geologists considered point bars on convex bank of meandering channels or longitudinal bars and transverse bars in the middle of braided channels as favorable locations for finding remaining oil.Our study shows such locations as branching points and merging points of channels are also significant because BPB and MPB develop at these locations.Remaining o

A new chitosan derivative is prepared using chitosan.Ethyl chlorocarbonate was first introduced to the hydroxyl group of phthaloylchitosan through a nucleophilic reaction.Hydrazine was then added to recover the amino groups of chitosan and promote cross-linking.The structure of this new chitosan derivative was characterized by Fourier transform infrared（FT-IR）and proton nuclear magnetic resonance（1H NMR）spectroscopy,and its physical properties were determined by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,differential scanning calorimetry（DSC）,and thermogravimetric analysis（TGA）.The thermal and chemical stabilities of the new derivative were improved compared with those of native chitosan.Assay of Escherichia coli adhesion on a film based on this chitosan derivative showed good adsorption and biofilm formation.

Abstract A new microfluidic system with four different microchambers （a circle and three equilateral concave polygons） was designed and fabricated using poly（dimethylsiloxane）（PDMS） and the soft lithography method. Using this microfluidic device at six flow rates （5, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 μL/h）, the effects of microenvironmental geometry and aqueous flow on bacterial adhesion behaviors were investigated. Escherichia coli HB101 pGLO, which could produce a green fluorescent protein induced by L-arabinose, was utilized as the model bacteria. The results demonstrated that bacterial adhesion was significantly related to culture time, microenvironment geometry, and aqueous flow rates. Adhered bacterial density increased with the culture time. Initially, the adhesion occurred at the microchamber sides, and then the entire chamber was gradually covered with increased culture time. Adhesion densities in the side zones were larger than those in the center zones because of the lower shearing force in the side zone. Also, the adhesion densities in the complex chambers were larger than those in the simple chambers. At low flow rates, the orientation of adhered bacteria was random and disorderly. At high flow rates, bacterial orientation became close to the streamline and oriented toward the flow direction; All these results implied that bacterial adhesion tended to occur in complicated aqueous flow areas.The present study provided an on-chip flow system for physiological behavior of biological cells, as well as provided a strategic cue for the prevention of bacterial infection and biofilm formation.

Many digestive system malignant tumors are characterized by high incidence and mortality rate.Increasing evidence has revealed that the tumor microenvironment(TME)is involved in cancer initiation and tumor progression.Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)are a predominant constituent of the TME,and participate in the regulation of various biological behaviors and influence the prognosis of digestive system cancer.TAMs can be mainly classified into the antitumor M1 phenotype and protumor M2 phenotype.The latter especially are crucial drivers of tumor invasion,growth,angiogenesis,metastasis,immunosuppression,and resistance to therapy.TAMs are of importance in the occurrence,development,diagnosis,prognosis,and treatment of common digestive system malignant tumors.In this review,we summarize the role of TAMs in common digestive system malignant tumors,including esophageal,gastric,colorectal,pancreatic and liver cancers.How TAMs promote the development of tumors,and how they act as potential therapeutic targets and their clinical applications are also described.
